The shortest dude really hit the nail on the head with what he said at the end. It was jarring to notice how they associated being short so negatively and so obviously, I was surprised they didn't catch themselves.... the 'don't worry, you'll go up', 'sorry about that' every time they would move a ranking to being shorter. and even the dudes themselves during the reveal being salty about the guesses being shorter than they were.

It was hard to watch. I’ve dated a 6’3” guy and a 5’2”. Both of them were assholes. My 5’10” guy has the best character. Men, if ladies judge based on you being too short then count yourself lucky 🍀 because you can dodge them easier.

In the first round they really didn’t apologize at all for thinking people were short, in the second round they did apologize for taking people’s numbers.
The apologies only really came out when they were wrong. People always apologize in these for getting things wrong and it really only seemed to be if anyone seemed upset about their ranking.

My husband is 5'3 and I am 5'6 .... he is BEYOND confident. His height has never been an issue. He makes me feel safe and if anything ever happened I know he'd protect me and our children.

You can clearly see how height is perceived by everyone here because the short guys explained why they were ok being short and using masculinity and the betterment of the self, while the tall guys are like: "yup, Im tall"
It's cause, generally, men tend to be taller. Anything associated with what men "should" be or what differentiates men from women, is generally considered more masculine. Beards are generally considered more masculine, muscles etc

Things that generally only appear in one sex or things that are more pronounced in one sex tend to be considered more attractive for that sex. Beards, significant muscles, greater height etc are generally considered more masculine while breasts/bigger breasts, greater hip:waist ratio, more hair on the head etc are considered more feminine.

Sam said it so well in the end about being short being seen in a negative light and it really shouldn't be. I am 4'11 and I love being tiny (with exception of when it comes to CICO lol). My boyfriend did well in rugby because he is short. It is also great when you're weight lifting because you can lift a shorter distance than someone taller. Really there is benefits to being short, average, or tall and nobody should feel bad for something they can't control

I seriously don’t understand the obsession with (specifically male) height in the dating world. I have never personally felt that below average height = unattractive. I am taller than my partner and it has never been an issue. The only thing that makes shorter men unattractive is when they’re clearly insecure about it. It’s valid that they would be insecure though after seeing how they are mistreated and overlooked by women, and by other men.
I think women actually do prefer taller but with social media they like to sensationalize everything to the point where people begin to take it more seriously. Now that people have said this out loud so many times women are second guessing their dating preferences. Men too but for other things.
Women are generally more attracted to taller men. That’s just the fact of the matter and remember, I said generally. Reason being tall men tend to have a physical advantage when it comes to protecting their women and families. That being said, short women demanding 6’0 and above only is kinda ridiculous because most men are not that height.

I believe that any feature that strays away from the average, is not seen as attractive. Attractiveness can be related to what we are genetically conditioned to like, because in a way, that particular feature, can then be passed down onto your child which, any feature from your partner that you found attractive has something to do with making your legacy more healthy, reducing the risks of the species going extinct which is literally the goal of all living things on earth. to live on, Although our mind don't do it, our bodies do that on it's own. It's just happening in the background,

That’s fair. I’m one of those people that would’ve asked him that but that’s only bc, like most guys, i do enjoy playing sports but height for me was a hinderance growing up/self-esteem issue. So i always imagined I would’ve taken full advantage if i were taller and played more sports.

I guess it is due to evolution why we associate tallness with masculinity, being strong and capable of protecting and providing for the family, and shortness as being more feminine, caring for the offspring and being reserved. That is why not adhering to this scheme results in a kind of discrimination. It's unfair because height is beyond one's control, but I suppose evolution doesn't concern itself with fairness.

how is shortness in any way an indication of being reserved and caring? height preferences are a result of social ideas about femininity and masculinity, not evolution. it would make more sense for men to prefer tall women who can protect their offspring, as women have always been the ones who care for the children.

Im a 5'11" guy who is somewhat effeminate and Ive met shorter men that are way more masculine than me physically speaking. Its weird how society is very obsessed with associating tall height with musculinity when there are many other physical traits that can also be considered masculine (big muscles, square jawline, facial hair, etc)

I feel for short guys, not because they’re short nothing wrong with that, but because many people just think lower of them because of it. It’s not something you can ever change.

i’m a 5’1 woman and love me a short king because 99% of the time they’re still taller than me. even if they’re shorter, i really don’t care because i understand what that life is like. height doesn’t matter, it’s the person behind it that does
im 4'11 and i'm definitely more comfortable being with a partner closer to my height. plus i hate having to strain my neck looking up to talk to tall people 😂

Sam: Shortest (5’4 or below)
Marcus: 2nd shortest (an inch or 2 taller than Sam, 5’7 at most)
Carter: Questionable (5’6-5’10, narrowed down to 5’7-5’9)
Tyler: 5’9-5’10
Isaac: 5’10-5’11
Quron: 5’11
Anthony: 6’2
I honestly thought there would only be one person over 6’ 😂 Also, I’m not sure if I would’ve gotten these answers from them if I was the contestant. I would’ve done much worse because this was hard to guess as it is. Marcus and Quron were most easy to guess based off answers. Anthony threw me off and played it well and I appreciated Tyler’s ambiguity a lot as far as guessing goes. On the same token, I liked hearing the honesty from the others for perspective
Damn height inflation in America really is a thing. Here in the UK anything above 6ft is massive and even 5ft 5 to 5ft10 is considered pretty normal.

I’m also from the UK and have a different view. 5ft 7 and under is considered short for a male. Granted there are many males in this height range it’s still considered short. 5ft 10 is average, 5ft 11 is in the tall range and massive would be 6ft 2 plus.

Like you said it's an obsession but in reality most of these obsessive people settle with what is available for them when they've deceived time again. What do you drive makes so much sense to me! I'm 5'3" but my husband and sons could never fit in my car without their knees on their chest and I need a step ladder to get in a truck that fits them🤷🏾♀️

You must be American to be so ignorant on a topic. My silly girl, the average height for women in the USA is 5'4. Perhaps you need to read your books more.
Is it just me or is there an optical illusion going on in the video where it's harder to visulaize height differences like we do in real life.
my brain still cant seem to visualize the tallest 6' 8 guy properly eventhough he is really tall even in tall guy standards lol & same goes to the host girl being 6'1 & i still think she looks 5'5 max idk 😅
