Thank you so much sir, your videos are very helpful. I heard 5 years warranty will be void if we get the bike serviced at home/outside. What if we dont have the warranty?
Thanks buddy.. Regarding the warranty, as long as you have the confidence that your own work or someone you get the work done from is better than what the authorised service centre can do, you don't have to worry about a machine like Honda. Some parts like the LED headlight, etc if blown up will anyways will not come under warranty. Rest the mechanicals you can be rest assured.
Your needs from the bike ticks the needle on the side of the H'ness. Though both the H'ness and RS share 95% of the overall Mechanicals, it's the straight upright seating position of the H'ness + a practical rear end goes in favour of it. RS is more for the college going crowd.
Not really, morden bikes don't need the usual routine tappet checks unless the health of the bike is asking for. One of the common symptom, uneven and rough idling.
The mechanic at red wing service center filled in fully synthetic throttle oil (even though I insisted to use semi synthetic one) during first service itself at around 830 kms. Is there anything to be taken care of ! Thanks for this kind of helpful videos.
At 830kms it's OK to have full synthetic, if most of your 800 has been covered in city traffic which will result in a good engine break-in. So nothing to worry about. Cheers and Happy Riding 🤘

Sir kindly let us know how can we source spare parts like 'o' ring, oil filter, air filter etc as Honda bigwing services centre refused to sell it to me
Honda recommends 5W grade hence the winter grade and the hot viscosity of 40 which is just 1 step above can surely suit the engine. But to be honest it's very difficult to source this grade in 300V or Street Race in MA or MA2 specs.
You can, but will have to find a compatible which can hold the disc and ABS Sensor plate. Also by fitting a spoked wheel, you will have to fit a Tube type tyre as spoke wheels cannot accommodate tubeless tyres.
You will need to get this from Bigwing service center. If they don't sell over the counter, Washer is generic aluminium one used in oil drain bolts, you can get it in any spare parts shop. For oil filter you can use the original Honda CB Shine SP oil filter. It is same, but just make sure it's original Honda part and not local Minda or Varroc etc. Air filter there is no alternative.
Dada my honda shine bs6 bike has 3rd service coming up on february. After that do I need to service bike at honda service center ? Because my bike has complicated braking system off course its cbs disk but on the tank it is clearly written brake adjustment to be done by honda only. What should you recommend to service my honda shine at home or service center? Another thing if I change engine oil,oil filter and air filter at home but check my brake and fuel system at service center only would they do that only or should I have to full service my bike?
Hey buddy.. as it's a new bike i would strongly recommend servicing at the authorised service centre. Not that they have highly skilled technicians, but it covers your warranty and with the new bikes which comes equipped with FI systems etc..it's good to be covered atleast for initial couple of 12-18 months as these parts iike fuel pump etc costs a lot.

Not at all. I checked the engine oil after riding for 5000kms. its near full mark only. so, no need to service before six months or 6000kms. No worries at all
No buddy, no issues whatsoever. Motul 300V is made up ester base oil and hence is more effective compared to regular POA Synthetic base oil as it dissolves the additives like anti foaming, additives used to maintain the kinematic viscosity at both low and high temperature making the engine run at low stress. In simple words ester base synthetics are more efficient than your regular POA Synthetic. About heating, anyways this is a 350cc air cooled engine and relies on the bikes movement for cooling. If you ride in heavy traffic it will heat up more coz we generally use 1st, year 2nd or 3rd gear max in traffic which makes the engine run at higher RPMs but not enough movement for air cooling.
Best synthetic oil as per my experience are Mobil 1, provided they have the recommended grade and API specs available. Then comes Shell and 3rd on the list is Motul. Motul comes with Ester as the base which is much like an organic base which provides a better initial performance but lacks longevity of conventional chemical base Synths.
Shell has always been one of best brands and you can feel the difference in the gear shifting. The good part is, oils like Shell, Motul brands have additives that helps prevents oxidation of the oil and keep the engine clean, while OE oils only meets the specifications of the manufacturer.
