I look at this and I realize that the Razer Edge at the $200 sale price was a hella good deal. Provided you don't want to actually use the device as a phone, of course.
@@SaadSuleman It's still getting security updates as of ... a couple of days ago. Major feature updates? Probably not unless someone makes a custom ROM from the sources that just recently became available. But for emulation, does it even matter?
Can anyone share their experience emulating Nintendo DS and DOS on this? Great video BTW, thanks for making a no-nonsense video and channel that dives deeper than synth benchmarks and COD + PUBG performance.
It’s kinda amazing that we can get such a nice screen at the price. I’m so glad you’re enjoying the controller! The G8 Plus is easily my favorite one right now, it’s excellent and versatile! ❤️❤️
They're awesome and THANK YOU for your work, it's much appreciated. We can now all enjoy the CMF Phone in any color we want. 🤗 Link for those interested: makerworld.com/en/models/561710#profileId-481171
Love that you're doing this kind of reviews on here. They sent me there nothing Bud's Pro 2 and those are very impressive so it definitely recommend pairing those with this phone. Cheers to you retro Tech dad
You always get a lot of bang for your buck in performance when you go with the budget phones like this. The only thing that kind of kills it for me is how long the whole set up gets once you add a controller to it. It didn’t look too bad with the backbone though, that’s probably the controller I would pick to go with it just to keep the size down. I would also be interested to know the weight once you add a controller to it.
This is exactly the kind of video I was looking for! Thankyou so much! I've heard that after the many updates the phone has gotten, it's gotten even better at performance. Is that true in your experience? Also if you don't mind me asking, how would NFS Most Wanted 2005 work on the phone? I'd love to play it again! :)
it's a dealbreaker if you want to use it as a phone for me due to no NFC. As for gaming on phones, the Motorolas are available really cheap on prepaid. I got a Boost Moto Stylus 5g 2024 for like $60 with a month of service.
I think the reason it didn't have the NFC chip is that it's mostly targetted at the Indian market. Here we use QR codes to pay instead of using NFC. Tho yeah, for other regions, it does sound like a bummer :(
Depends on what you're needing, the CMF Phone 1 is a great budget phone. But if you don't need a phone necessarily, I'd go with the RP4 Pro since it does offer active cooling.
My man, it's been a while! Good to see you in the comments section. 🤗🤗 I'm actually testing gaming performance with the Pixel 9... should be interesting. 😁😅
warzzone is sutch a shit game and the graphics looks so wierd the light looks just white and the graphics are disturbing and still looks worse than codm
Short? Cpu is similar in both and the g615mp2 in the dimensity 7300 is around 50% better than the g57mp4 in the t820. Cooling difference may lower the gap somewhat but definitely won't call it short. You can see the difference in the GoW2 (PS2) and gow (psp) tests. Phone wise, don't find this phone worth it compared to the nothing 2a. Too much cutback (both performance and other phone functions) for too little cost savings.
What do you think about the CMF Phone 1 and what would you want to see in the future by Nothing?
I dig it! I would love if these manufacturers did handhelds.
You never know! 🔥🔥

It’s so true! The Razer Edge just as a pure gaming device provides a lot of power for the price 🔥
But will it get any updates? Razer phones have had no recent updates ...... For donkey years

Great video! This thing is a tidy little powerhouse 💪
Thank you, I appreciate it! It's got a great balance for performance to price.

The dolphin emulation really shocked me here how good it ran. I would still be impressed if it only ran psp but for $200? Can't beat that! Good work!
$289 idk where $200 came from
That’s a nice screen for the price. Also I picked up the gamesir pro 8 from your link in the other video. It’s such a good controller!

This is the exact video I was looking for! Appreciate the hard work you put into these videos
Aww, thank you. I really appreciate the comment! 🤗🤗
good that ur trying wuthering waves since its more demanding than genshin but we will see what genshin 5.0 will bring since they will upgrade graphics
Yea, Wuthering Waves is a nice test for mobile hardware! 🔥
@@gockartzz8272 an nothing much happened other than the resolution increase they added in like 4.8.

Oooo, I've had my eyes on those! If the CMF Phone 1 is any indication, those buds should be pretty solid. 🔥🔥
Nobody made a atleast a joycon attachment 3d print?

The design is sleek and modern. It feels great in the hand and looks amazing. Mediatek chipset seems very promising one in terms of the performance.
Yes, Mediatek chips always punch above their weight for value!

Can it run resident evil 4 with good fps in emulation?
Hi @retrotechdad, im a little torn between snapdragon 6 gen 1 and this phone. Which one would be better?
X2 PRO GAMESIR is compatible with CMF Phone 1 ?
What is the functionality like when docked to a monitor?
Nothing.
Unfortunately, no video out when I tested.
sorry to ask but u can charge the phone with the passtrough on the controller?
Can you still charge phone with the controller on
Do you play fornite on cloud or you can downlad this app on epic game stor ?
How to play ps2/psp games on amdroid???
Does it handle Efootball well, please?
they shouldve atleast put in a Snap Gen 1. the phone wouldve been beast. $250 price tag.
This or Retroid Pocket 4 Pro?

goes to show how pathetic the tensor 4 in the pixel 9 really is

Is the effect OK if I use 2x the PS2 emulator?
It definitely depends on the game, but for lighter ones I'd say yes.
Eh! More OnePlus adjacent devices. You're the best Rob!
I've been wanting to check out some of Nothing's products for a while. The CMF Phone 1 pushed me over the edge, I love me some budget devices. 🔥🔥
No headphone jack
Unfortunately, no 😭
But one can always use Type C headphones, with the tradeoff being that we can't plug in the charger at the same time.
