Just got my first microscope (JttMicrocosmos) today and of course immediately pricked my finger! Thanks for helping me better understand what I was looking at. I came back after ~4hrs and couldn't find any remnant of my RBCs. Either I was doing something wrong or they all popped and went homogenous. Still learning the very basics, like noticing I can focus on at least 3 planes. (Cover slip top, sample, back of slide?) Anyway, just the beginning, next up creek water, and playing with stains. Lots of slide prep technique to master.

It would be great to show a blood sample taken prior to your experiment then test the pH of the water you plan to use, for example; distilled water (does not contain minerals) is supposed to be alkaline but I tested one from the store and to my surprise it was very acidic, then drink a glass of water or so and after 30-45 minutes afterwards check another blood sample for comparison.

    • @Microbehunter

Take a blood sample and look at it then photograph the slide. Then take your shoes off and walk around on the grass or dirt and take another sample and photograph that slide. Most people will have clumping of the red blood cells, after 30-40 minutes walking or sitting with your feet connected to the earth without shoes on. You will notice the blood cells are no longer clumping but are separate.

Rookie mistake. As any T2D person knows you should wipe away the first drop and squeeze again to get a better sample that more truly reflects what the circulating blood is like.

Hi .. i might of missed it, but do we know the concentration of salt? and is it just saline or does it contain things like calcium or other constituents other than salt...asking for a friend

So what’s the conclusion regarding distilled water ? .. I’ve been drinking distilled water on a daily basis for 6-7 years now, sometimes with a touch of salt or lemon juice & I have a fruit/veg based diet, so I’m pretty sure that I consume enough minerals/electrolytes. I feel great but am I slowly killing myself ? 🤷‍♂️

Silly...just FEEL your body and see what it tells you it wants ;)

@@0Eliza0 - Oh my, do we have a spiritual hippie type here..lol ?! .. what about if my body is telling me to have a few lines of cocaine, because it will make me feel great ? .. the body can tell us big, fat porkies on occasion .. but I do hear you & I’m also very spiritually minded & like to think that I’m very in tune with my body’s requirements. I just think the water thing could be a bit of a problem. I have no doubt that distilled is the best option currently available to me, here in my location (no melting glaciers around here unfortunately..shame, cos I love penguins 😁) .. but it is essentially dead water..it can’t have any life force energy left in it, after travelling through miles of sh#tty pipes & then being boiled. I do place various crystals in the glass decanter & leave it on the window sill to absorb both sun & moonlight..I even stir it into a vortex & bless it before drinking .. but my intuition is telling me that it’s still dead water 🤷‍♂️😢

@@0Eliza0 - and for that, you have my thanks..the sheeple wouldn’t know an intelligent or factual comment if it slapped em in the chops..all too preoccupied with Will Smith slapping Chris Rocks dish..which was by no means anything other than acting..since they’re “actors” & all..so well done you, for not being one of those sheeple 👏👏👍😂😂
