- The LX570 is here to prove that you can have a luxury SUV and major off road capability. Lexus has put under the hood the tried and true 5.7L V8 that is pumping out 383HP & is mated to an 8-speed automatic. Its exterior features a unique front fascia, optional wheels and a suspension lift system. On the inside you will find comfortable seats and 3-row capability. Is the 2020 Lexus LX570 a luxury SUV that's worth it?

They keep it “ dated “ for a reason. LX 570/ Landcruisers are built for a minimum of 25 yrs of service according to Toyota and many owners have proven that over the decades.
Very good point my friend!
Exactly .. reliability
but even then its not that dated lmao
I bought a 2013 LX and I will always own one from now on. Just a wonderful truck and it's built like a tank!!
Oh this is worth it alright! WAYYYY more reliable than a Range Rover, and it has just about the same MSRP as a full size Range Rover. More solid, more durable, won't die for 25 years, and gets you anywhere in the world. Range rover will only get you across but not back to base.
You can say that again!
Doug DeMuro disagreed
A Lexus LX570 is just a fancy Landcruiser. Buy the top of the range as it’s WAAAAY cheaper than the Lexus.
@@apt62 I would rather take the word of Joe(Raiti's Rides) than Doug deMuro
Saanidh Sarathy Under the skin, the Toyota Land Cruiser and Lexus LX 570 are virtually identical.
Land cruiser in a suit and tie!
Great vid joe
Could not have said it better!
Pretty much
@@RaitisRides someone like an oncologist will drive something like this..

This car is so sadly UNDERRATED, after watching many reviews like this one I see how many details are left out and focus on basic stuff! There is so many advance tech included in this car that bmw, RR or MBnz wouldn't be able to match for the same price.
I think this and the Infiniti QX80 are in harmony with each other... but obviously the Infiniti is a more popular vehicle where I live
It may be not popular in america , but here in the middle east love this car more than mercedes , bmw. Here it is called pride of land. Here you will sell mercedes, bmw at a scrap value but lexus lx 570 and land cruiser has a very good recycle value. It's crazy suv here
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this one!
It's the other way around: BMW, RR, Mercedes has far better features than this Land Cruiser rip off. For starters, Lexus doesn't even have a touch screen.
@@saanidhsarathy9903 that's not the tech I'm talking about, before buying my Lx the Mb Gls580 was on my mind, once you add driver assistance, off road, towing, active body packages to match whats included on the Lx brings the Msrp to over $125k
Still driving a 2006 Lexus lx470 with 200k miles, and it still drives brand new. Of course this thing is worth it 👍
Nicely Done Sean! I appreciate you sharing that!
My 2013 Land Cruiser is as perfect and solid with 140k as it was the day we brought it home
New or used it is totally worth it. Compare it to the MSRP of a Range Rover, Mercedes-Benz GLS, BMW X7, Lincoln Navigator, Cadillac Escalade, INFINITI QX80, etc. It’s either more reasonable/competitive. Standard it’s well equipped and extremely capable for the size. While the styling is controversial, and could use a redesign, no other vehicle can come close with reliability. I’d take a car that can get to 250k miles with regular maintenance, often with the ORIGINAL air suspension, over something with arguably better design. My Lincoln Navigator at 60k miles started air suspension issues and the engine was shot at 120k miles. If I bought the LX 8 years ago, it would still be running like a dream.
Only the QX80 is the better value with Japanese reliability and the V-8 power and 4*4 capability.
I just bought a 2020 LX in nightfall mica a few days ago. 54k miles. I love it.
I love that Blue with a Hue of purple
She really sparkles nicely!
Oh how funny I was just thinking I don’t like it as I opened up these comments. I like blue on inexpensive vehicles tho.
Entertaining review...but make sure the deets are accurate: the third row is manual to pull the back of the seat up (the only part aside from headrest that is manual), but the button you were pushing in the the folded position with no response is the automatic fold the back down onto seat, next button will automatically fold them back to storage position. Also the active height control is automatic when you reach 18 mph, the speed at which it becomes smarter than most of its drivers. After 18 mph, it automatically adjusts for aerodynamics and speed. The only reason(s) to manually raise/lower is for entering low clearance garages, off roading, exiting/entering the vehicle (which there’s also a button to set for automatic lowering when the engine is turned off), and lowering to hitch up trailers. The other big miss which is a great feature, is the reclining and forward/back movement of the second row...for when you remove the leather condoms to watch a movie while snacking on a cold Twinkie. 2 years ago I bought an ‘08 with 70k miles to pull my 2 horse trailer, best purchase I’ve ever made.
This is basically the king of suvs
Oh yeah!
Without any doubt
Thanks Joe for showing us always the space in the third row! I really appreciate that
Over $100,000 and with ventilated seats for the mid row. Other cars at price range doesn't even offer ventilated seats.

dude! It's a Lexus! It's the most reliable car in the history of mankind! It doesn't even need a review! It's the mighty Lx570 which has been a legend since I was a kid!
You are so very right about that!

12:02 'leather condoms' nice one there joe🤣 great review as always 🤙
7:33 That's what she said.
All of your videos have a great cameraman and editing. 👍 Professional presentation every time.
Any Lexus IS worth it in my book... 50% reliability, 40% luxury, and 10% sporty!
That is a great way to put it!
more like 100% reliability lmao
These SUVs used to hold value because of reliability but there's nothing done to improve fuel economy. Got rid of a gx470 for that reason alone. Don't get me wrong, very luxurious ride and pleasant interior, but Toyota definitely compromises on technology and efficiency for the sake of reliability.
Wait till next year
Before watching the video, yes.
I’m glad you approve.
I love this LX570, but one zonk is that grille. (It's way too big tbh), the rest of the car is pretty fine. :-) Also, I love the 3UR-FE V8 with 383 HP and 403 lb-ft (546 nm). The 1UR-FE V8 in the GX460 with 301 HP and 329 lb-ft (446 nm) is also my favorite too. And last but not least, the 1GR-FE V6 found in the 2005-2014 Tacoma and 2007-2015 FJ Cruiser is also my favorite. Well done with this video, Joe!
That would be the perfect ride to take on a Rocky Mountain Ski Trip, Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, New Mexico, Montana and Idaho with a couple of lunatic ski brothers. Great review!
I like the way that you think!
♥️ my 21, low mileage price was under 70. Got the last of the proven reliable V8. What a dream to drive.
I don't believe they'll ever make a panoramic roof. This vehicle specifically sells in GCC four times the numbers of US ( 17,000 vs 4500 ) and It's pretty much cosy and sunny all year from where I live. I can't imagine Lexus risking their customers in GCC.
My uncle had a 3rd gen LX once. No bueno IMO. Compact on the inside, not much leg room in back, and cargo practically was virtually none.
This is an incredible SUV. Worth every penny!
hahaah!!!!! if you are blind
I think you can buy this car in used like 2016 or 2017 it's much much cheaper ($58,000 - $63,000) and it looks almost identical with 2020 model.
A lot of people don't consider Lexus as an offroad capable, overlanding rig, but they are fantastic.
I had a 13 year old LX 470 with 140K miles and not one rubber strip, chrome trim, leather surface, button, switch or stalk was broken or inoperable or showed any sign of wear. It honestly was so reliable it was boring, and life is too short to spend 20 years driving the same car. I now drive a Jag F-Pace S and I don't care if it only lasts 10 years; ONE day carving through life in this thing is more fun than a MONTH of driving a LX. If you are 75 or older, the LX 570 is for you.
Thanks for sharing that great input from your ownership!
I don't understand why anyone would get a land cruiser when they're almost same in price. They're about 10-15k difference but when you're buying something this expensive, you might as well go all the way and get the full package
Thanks for sharing those thoughts on this one.
Big, Heavy , Very powerful engine can haul lot of load at low RPM, excellent build quality. No wonder Land Cruiser and Lexus GX, LX last so long.
do NOT expect fuel economy. they are thirsty but compensate that for little to no repairs
Agree
That Lexus reliability tho
Pretty bulletproof!
horses are also reliable
My door handle is also reliable.
And also dull like a LX570.
Due to insufficient funds I bought 2019 RX350 and can vouch for the Lexus built quality and refinement! However my heart always belong to the V8 when it comes to SUV of decent size so grab one of these if you can afford because big SUVs of late, especially the Germans are all Turbocharged v6. Thanks for a great review of my favorite SUV!
I have all 3 Lexus SUVs: RX, GX & LX. I can only say the LX always the chosen one to haul my kids around. I have peace with it

I’ll buy this any day and not the German unreliable junks like Mercedes , BMW and Audi . They keep their value so well and do not depreciate like popcorns as Mercedes does
That is some great input! Thanks for sharing it!
Beautiful paintjob. Interior looks very neat and gorgeous.
I am so glad that you like this one.
This might be the most reliable suv on the planet lasting 25yrs. But consider this, in the US at least, is the average person going to be driving gasoline engine vehichle in the next 10 15 or 20yrs. Electric trucks and suvs are on their way folks! These made total sense until may be 10yrs ago, not anymore.
You are so very right about that!
Wow. That third row space is reasonable. Niiceeee

@@HeIaI Trust me neither can I!
The fact that not any of the screens are touch screen is disappointing. That alone made me change my mind about getting it.
I will take this Lexus LX570 at any time any day....it has that legendary Toyota Landcruiser characteristic that makes it the king of offroading....this is an SUV for real men with nice strong legs... it's not a cross-over for crossdresser men with short chunky girly legs..... the Lexus LX470 from 1998-2007 are still running strong and still command a hefty price whereas 99.99% of Land Rover Range Rover or Mercedes ML or BMW X5 of the same era are now most at the junkyard....or already bankrupted their owners a long time ago
I love that beast😍😍 Land Cruiser is my all time Favorite and LX570 is my dream❤️❤️
Reliability with a luxury price tag - worth the money!
An expansive door handle also shares those qualities. If you view your car like a white good appliance devoid of passion and excitement go ahead.
It’s the best and it will never let you down like the Europeans. The reliability also gifts you with a high resale even when milage up there . It’s a keeper 😀
I totally agree with you!
Great review Joe as always ! As you know i have a 2013 ES350 and its also bulletproof... Quality and craftsmanship are unparalleled! My ES only has 36 k miles and feels new, not one Creak or rattle any where ... Just Solid and quiet !! Yeah my ES is a Straight Line Cruiser , but thats ok, I’m saving up for 2016 C7 Stingray 1LT, 7 speed Manual !!
the LX570 looks amazing! LOVe the 12 in. Screen and how it’s integrated into the dash looks like the dashboard was designed AROUND the screen and not Vice Versa like so many cars today... its sunken into the dash with the leather wrapped around it. Just beautiful.. Those 3rd row seats are ingenious...
36k are (should be) nothing for a car. my car is a cheap mitsubishi carisma build in 2000. no rattles or creaks in the cabin. though front right suspension is making noises after 20 years and the rubber of the roof is getting hard.
What a beast .
Probably one of the best quality SUV.....
That color is phenomenal!!! This machine is a beast offroad too... honestly not sold on that grille but it's certainly in your face. Lexus got a ton of stuff right with this LX570! Awesome review Joe!!! 👍🚗💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨

This thing has lots of old tech and it's lack of powertrain. However, really RELIABLE tho but Lexus needs to upgrade these especially the infotainment and engine/trans
Could you mention what new tech is the Lx missing?
You are so very right!
@@marcopaz1964 Don't get me wrong the LX does has great tech such as the off-road and driving safety features. What I really mean is the design, info system and powertrain.
@@marcopaz1964 This thing has most of the features that those German competitors have but the whole thing's design is just outdated, not saying it's bad but OLD as hell.
Shengyuan Liu people Say that the info screen is outdated because it's not touch screen. Funny, it was touch screen in the previous LX model and people said it was outdated then. Most cars went back to touch screen for its ease f use . I have a 2014 LX which has this same body style and has touch screen which I do prefer. In 2014 it supposedly was outdated...now it's high tech.
Hi there , remember when you are at this level no large suv is economic , don’t criticize just because is not have an emblem of eco boost or turbocharged or any other nicknames; thanks for you review and. yours knowledge 👍

Excellent bit of introduction Joe.Really great Review. And I love this one

My zonk is the mpg. Small amount of HP and torque but 16 mpg is really small

‘Small amount’ of HP? Really?

@@RaitisRides yeet!!!
Thank you for making this review. This is my favorite SUV right now. I prefer it with the black sport grill that's found in the middle east markets though.
I am so glad that I could share this one with you!
What do you mean no technology?? This beast is loaded with the state of the art off road technology. It'll go places where no range rover or Mercedes will ever go and bring you back home all while sitting in a cocoon of the highest quality luxury interior.
If more technology to you means sticking a fugly iPad on the dashboard like a Tesla or the new Mercedes S class then fuck new technology. It's all ugly cheap trash that normies think are cool.
This thing is 100% worth what you pay for and you can put your life on the line while driving this or any of its siblings in the Land Cruiser family.
And about the design. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. It's MAJESTIC and MASCULINE like a KING. While all its competitors look like a fat, ugly feminist whore.
“She is thirsty” 😄😂
I wouldn't say Lexus is luxury anymore. They are premium, but no luxury.
by the way, those are really tiny brakes for such large vehicle.
How 😂😂😂
well at least Lexus is still keeping the engine placement naming 👍💯
This is so very true!

15:01 I was about to say, they don’t have the lever that just completely flips the seat forward? I mean what’s with just sliding the seat forward for like two inches of space to get in the third row. This is obviously better.
That is a great point Tiffany!
For sure lx 570 is one of the best luxury SUVs thanks to its great off road capabilities but when it comes to the technologies and safety German SUVs win the competition

Thanks for the feedback! I like to spend my money on my car.
Reliability is a luxury all luxury cars this expensive should have.
Awesome and informative video as always Joe! Personally I couldn’t see myself picking this family hauler over a Mercedes GLS. For over $100,000 fully loaded it’s not much of a looker inside or out. The styling doesn’t do it for me, and although it’s pretty well equipped it’s nothing game changing. Also when you factor in the AMG GLS models, you can have all of the bleeding edge technology, comfort, style, and features along with the speed to back it up. The reliability of the Lexus could never be matched by the Mercedes but still, my money is on the Benz. And honestly since I’m a Dodge boy, I’d take a Durango SRT over this vehicle any day and save about 30 grand in the process.
Oh yes and it's also fun to watch how fast that Mercedes GLS depreciates in value and to count on the amount of repair problems.. people LEASE Mercedes, not BUY..... that's why Mercedes has horrendous resale value and depreciates in value faster than the titanic can sink... Scotty Kilmer will disagree with you.... Mercedes, BMW, Land Rover are on the BLACK list of car brands to never buy.....
Solid SUV, I just can’t get my mind pass the mpg that’s way too many gas stop for me.
Lexus need to learn and to fix central control unit connectivity and looks , because its sucks , touch screen must be on reach and no mouse , also this very small windshield .. Lexus need to change lx , gx and to fix , and to fix engine mpg ..
Thanks for getting in the third row!
