    Your trees look great! I know it's been over a year since doing this video. What I'd like to know is have you had any shakes, and how long does the snow powder hold up?

    Thank you I really needed a review like this. I've been looking for the snoflock in the 5lb box but it has been sold out for some time now... buying the 2 lb. ends up costing a lot more that if you simply bought the 5lb... a lot more expensive... why they dont sell them by the pound just baffles me...smh. Thank you

      I'm so glad it was helpful! And this is exactly why I wanted to do this. Snoflock is really popular and I hate that it seems to sell out so often. Its' nice to know there's another really good option as well!

    Why didn't you test the staying power of the flocking?

    • @LovelyEtc
      @LovelyEtc  11 місяців тому

      I do test them out, but some flocking is bound to come off year after year, especially as you store the tree. It's an easy fix by adding a bit more to freshen it up.

    Has anyone ever mixed a non yellowing glue with the water in the spray bottle? I’m gonna try that next to see if it will stay on while I’m storage better..

    Hi! Thank you for the video. This year I flocked my 7.5 foot 15 year old artificial tree. It was my first attempt to flock anything. The tree was losing needles and needed replacing so I had nothing to lose. I watched several videos rolled the directions. I used Snoflock and added additional glitter to the powder. I brought it indoors and added my new lights. I was attempting a new look with a new type of light ( to me) . I placed them only to remove and buy additional lights 2-3 times ( imagine my frustration😂) This made a massive amount of flocking fall from the tree. Adding ornaments also caused flocking to fall. I can only imagine removing the ornaments and lights just again after the season will do this again. This is really not a permanent flocking and is so messy. Is there a better way?? Something permanent that stays put? I’ll sacrifice some fluff for less mess. I can always add a little snofock if necessary after a permanent base of faux snow. What method or product would you suggest? Thank you for your help.

      Did you see this article I shared about flocking a tree 5 years later? It may answer a few questions. There will definitely be some mess with flocking. I always recommend putting something down for easier clean-up. Hope this article helps. www.lovelyetc.com/diy-flocked-christmas-tree-one-year-later-and-a-giveaway/

    How often do you have to re flock the tree? Does it hold up well with storage

    • @LovelyEtc

      I like to reflock my tree every other year or so. You don't have to, but the tree does lose some flocking when it's moved and decorated so I like to add more flocking to keep it looking nice and snowy. Our tree has held up really well with storage. But, we have the luxury of having a huge unfinished basement so we are able to just carry the tree downstairs every year without having to actually take it apart. Depending on how your tree is made and how much you have to move it around to store it, you may lose more flocking than we do.

    Thank you for sharing! I have a question. So i did mine but its very stiff and not white like yours. What do you think is the reason for that. Could it be bc i put too much water ? Because it’s not shiny and white like yours either. Thank you !

      Hmm, did you use one of these flocking powders? A little bit of stiffness is normal but it should definitely be white.

    Will any of these flocking work on an outdoor artificial tree?

    • @LovelyEtc
      @LovelyEtc  3 роки тому +1

      They work great on artificial trees, but the flocking won't hold up well in rain and wind outdoors.
