Extreme Trucker #1 - Massive Road trains trucks crossing flooded river in the Australian outback
Вставка
- Опубліковано 5 жов 2024
- The highway from Darwin to Perth in the Kimberley region in Western Australia was closed for 24 hours when the road flooded in January 2017. This compilation is of some of those big rigs that were waiting to cross when the river dropped (as well as some other footage of earlier in the wet season).

As an American Trucker at 60, I am getting to see what you have to do to try to take care of the needs of the people in the cities that are not connected by trains.
3 full trailers as the normal are unique all unto itself. Congrats to all that you do. Job well done. You don't see Swift type of nonsense down under. Real truckers that mean what they do.
Drove trucks for 25 years y'all are some hell of a truck drivers are in Australia keep up the good work and be safe
Fuel tanks are approximately 400 to 450 litres each. 4 of them gives a range of Brisbane to Melbourne return with half fuel left or approximately 3800 kms
Great job. Praise and wishes for safety from a retired long haul trucker in the US!
Total Respect for you Aussie Truckies
Tats the main reason Australia is Australia from this Truckies driving from one side to the other
always been fascinated with Road Trains. Would love to see one in person.
yes they are huge I could watch them all day!
Just so long as you're not stuck behind one with a swaying third trailer on a narrow, winding country road with lots of double yellow lines.
no matter how many times I watch, these trains always amaze me...... awesome
They are amazing mate cheers for watching.
Thank heavens for truckies. Rail lines are limited.
Thinking of some small town in the Outback waiting on their beer, smokes and Vegemite! Keep ‘em rolling boys.

more like fresh food and vegetables. Beer smokes and vegemite and added to the pantry.
greetings from Brazil. I love to see these Road Trains in action. Hope to visit the real Australia one day. Congrats.
Charles Sannas do it mate.
Now I see the likely reason to have mud/rock flaps in front of the front tires.
Awesome, Awesome. Thank you for being so prompt in my request. I love the footage and the image you present of Australias outback. Keep those cameras rolling and stay safe guys. Again well done. Robert.
Thanks Robert appreciate the feed back mate. This was pretty cool to see i must admit!

Doesn't uneven heights of dolly with weights affect the driveablility?
Missing from this video is thsee professional truckies testing the water depth beforehand - which is done on foot or knowing that stretch of road and knowing first hand the depth of the flood. If I had my time again, I'd progress to being a road train driver.
Not sure where you are from, but you know the depth by the road markers. Some areas have depth markers too.
And floods mean (mean !) crocs....
It wouldn't have been fast flowing water, so there'd be no washaways.
It gets wet up there! Can't hold up the beer!!!
That toll 9oh at the start 🥵
simply the best!!! Keep on Trucking! ;-) Greetings from Germany :-)
Great video but what ended up happened to the truck that had stopped in the flood water?
Tom Newham that ain't no truck it's just a Toyota. Probably stripped bare by now.
@@stephanburgess654 🤣😂🤣
Schöne Aufnahmen, wie der Road Train durch einen Billabong fährt
Drive in flood...fuhhyyooo best aussie trucks....
Excelente Video.
O Brasil agradece pelo vídeo
We're truckies in Australia, NOT truckers.
And us men are 'blokes', not 'guys'. Redheaded males are called Blue or Bluey.
aussiefirie truckers truckers truckers truckers truckers truckers truckers truckers
What!? How that make any sense?
aussiefirie you misspelled British convicts
Good on ya mate.
I am sick and tired of all the yankeeisms (if that's a word) that have found their way into the Australian way of life. 4WD's being called trucks really gets my blood running also. Then a delivery driver called me "bro".
I drive a car and it happens to be a 4wd Toyota.
FYI @aussiefirie One nephew was a firie in CBR and then in Wagga was an ambo then paramedic. Passed on now. Rob (nee Bob) was as good as they come.
Sorry about the rant.
Hardly flood water- its basically just a long puddle.
I love the road trains
It used to be that you'd caulk the wagon and attempt to ford the river. Now you install a snorkel and put 100 tonnes on your axles.
Awesome Great video god bless you
Iae
Great upload! awesome movers.
0:45 - turns out Australia was too much for that white Toyota, then again off-road does not mean submersible 🤣
Badass Aussies
So a foot of water over paved road is extreme trucking ?? If you say so......
If u have any truck drive jobs
hot damn, yall got CB's. Im trying to talk skip to Australia with my uniden 980 ssb
We got CB but Use a UHF which is a ultrahigh frequency but use repeaters base And can use it without repeaters but only good for about 5 km
Some people still use the old school one
dammm that toyota, so sad man! fully kitted out with all the accessories and roof top tent = all gone
how do the trucks go through these crossings? do they have some sort of 6WD transmission?
DeepBlackice its a 140 tones keeping em on the groung dahr
Water was pretty shallow as well.
DeepBlackice
Well first of all they're fucking massive
Definitely gonna subscribe to your channel
Awesome trucks !
Yes they are! I never tire watching them!
For sure!
Parabéns Adoro Ver Esses Caminhões Lindos Fantásticos Motoristas De Fé Já Tive Caminhão Pequeno 👏👏👏
Without trucks, Australia stops....
Witch assembler is the trucks are in australia?
Gears!do you know the right one?
That's Optimus Prime's big brother.
Wicked stuff!!!
Who else noticed the sunken Toyota in the right of the video
Yep he got himself in a bit of trouble that guy!
whats the story with the fj cruiser stuck in the water off to the right
They tried to cross when it was flooded (and the road was closed) and got swept away! It was a right off. This is a video of the recovery. ua-cam.com/video/z8BO-Jbj_A8/v-deo.html
Ungovernable Yankee Outdoors it’s stuck.....
Amazing video
How much horsepower?
Normally 700 up to 1000 on the very biggest I think.

Is he driving on the road or in a river
looks like volvo daf and scania took the scenic route
naaa they where already 5 miles up the road
It’s a bit hard to take a scenic route in the middle of Australia.
Peter Freeman yeah, hooked up to a tow truck because they can't handle the outback.
that tow truck must have been a scania then to haul that kinda weight
Volvo scania daf can totally handle the outback, let me tell ya that! Just as tough reliable etc as Kenworth, w.star blah blah blah.. plus they have better comfort factor & lighter bodies - better fuel economy der
woow vert nice
are the bugs that loud?
Loud? They are that big we have to shoot them. Aerosol sprays don't work on them at all, just make's 'em cranky...........
Wo...nice videos 😗
Nice !
Cheers!

100%! Cheers for watching mate.
top video
Second driver going a lot slower!
Gosto muito desses vídeos de caminhões semelhantes a trens da Austrália;por acaso essas rodovias passam em lugares pantanosos ou são alagadas em períodos chuvosos?👏👍
Just flooded roads out west those ones.
@@brendaeulenstein3559 Probably more like the top end, anywhere from the Kimberley in Western Australia to Northern Territory to the gulf country in Queensland.
DONDE CONSIO LOS DVD
Kenworth the best in the world and american trucks :)
These are Australian made Kenworth, American ones just don't cut it down here..
Why don't they use trains again?
votez89 to hard in the middle of no where.
We do have trains that cross our lucky country,we have some of the longest trains in the world so just lookup them on youtube.north to south, and east to west.
Coz we are stupid and lazy, more fun doing it the hard way 💪😯

I watch the road trains
I wonder if any of them said (fu*k this sh*t).
I think i spotted 6 gas tanks on that thing. 2:50

Where Road trains came from Australia and Africa:Brazil copied
Christ those semis have so many fuel tanks
Multi1Joshua better trucks than in america
Jake D wrong actually, Bet youve never seen any of those kenworths in australia T909 T908 T904 etc
Alex Hartley you never in America see the kenworth t908 and the others so
Jake D you never see the 1908 and others in america accept you see them in austrilla
Jake D nope! those trucks are specially made of Australia with stronger chasis , more drive axels, more engine horsepower , better water proofing , better gears, right hand drive and the most important thing they have huge fuel tanks because they won't sea a fuel station in few thousand km so it is better to have more!
Estou. No. Brasil
Don't run over any Blackfella's now, Centrelink will love you!
👍👍😎
c'est le même problème qu'on Algérie au moment des pluies tout les rivières passe sur les routes et ces dangereux
Sweet Jesus I hope they repacked their wheel bearings with fresh grease after an escapade like that. Friggin' cool though.
😂😂😂😂
If the water had been much deeper they would have waited for all the axles to cool before going through. You're right it's no fun packing that many bearings.
That's why all the owner op trucks went slow enough to keep the wake down, and the toll driver just floored it through lol. He didn't care about the wheel bearings or diffs.
Somebody rescue that FJ Cruiser
Like it
The second driver just got out of a truck wash and didnt want to muddy up the truck
Fj cruiser was stuck in there

Never go near these kind water place I heard mosquito noise that should be maleria.
