- Anberlin performing the full Cities album live from the a Twenty Year Celebration Tour at The Observatory in Santa Ana, CA on October 24, 2022. This was shot with a Sony Cyber-shot RX100 VII, on-camera audio mixed with externally recorded audio. I don't know why the lights were red the entire time, but I hated it.

I was at this show!! I'm 2 people back from the front middle. It was SOOO sick seeing Acceptance play Phantoms back to back, then Anberlin play Never Take Friendship Personal and Cities front to back, seriously a lifelong dream come true since I had all 3 of those albums memorized for 15 years!! The only hard part of the night was keeping a voice singing along to EVERY SINGLE SONG of the night of those 2 bands haha especially after flying in from WWWY 2022 the morning of! I saw them in Vegas the day before haha
It sure is about to get real!
This is really cool. Must’ve listened to this album nearly every day the year it came out, walking home from school.
Thank you for posting this!!
Amazing singer.
Any chance that you could do New Surrender album, please? Especially 11 & 12!
They didn't play it. So no.
@@TheRealConcertKing I mean, when they do the album. 😀
If they do another show in Socal and play New Surrender, I will definitely be there.
@@TheRealConcertKing They did some livestream shows during the pandemic. They did it with all their albums
I saw them last night and couldn't hear vocals for 90% of the show. I tried with and without earplugs. I love their music so much I was heartbroken the live show was so disappointing. My husband went the night before and he said it was the same. He almost doesn't want to go tonight. It's just not enjoyable.
That's such a bummer, I'm sorry about that. I hate when bad sound at a show ruins what should be a special experience, especially these shows they're doing. Hopefully tonight is better.
Darn, I came to reply to the sound engineer who commented. I guess he deleted it. If you see this, Robert, for context, my husband was right near the stage the first night, and we were in the back by the bar the second night and he said it sounded the same. I had no trouble hearing the opening act, so I wasn't sure what the issue was with tech after they flipped the stage. Looking at some old reviews from way back, it sounds like Stephen holds back when he's tired/not feeling well. Maybe this was the case. I hope a solution can be found. I'd like to give them another chance.
Sorry but just sounds immature you know these bands have off nights or the sound people may be off. If you really like the music it won't matter
@@Fullcollapse1 It does matter though, when you invest money in seeing a live show and the lead singer isn't singing. I mean, if there was a vocal track he was lipsyncing too, we probably wouldn't have noticed as much, but there wasn't one. We skipped the third night since 1 & 2 were basically the same.
I have heard that alot. They overdub so much on their albums that seeing them live is going to be a disappoint sad to say
