- Kicking off the Live. Achieve. Give. 2020 Interview Series with ANBERLIN's Stephen Christian! We discuss developing his passion for music, his pursuit of ambitions with excellence, his search for identity and healing, and how he is using his incredible experience to give back and connect with those around him.
700 views? are you kidding me?? been with them since day 1; they're criminally under-rated.
Glad you enjoyed it! Feel free to share!
I must have watched the Live From The Music Hall of Williamsburg video 10,000 times.
Underrated is an understatement
I remember hitting the slopes in Colorado listening to Anberlin... Never thought i'd become a Christian because of so many inklings in my life. The final straw was when I found out Stephen was the worship leader in Albuquerque (25 miles from where I live).
Quality of life is EVERYTHING. Life is too short not have it.
I’m not religious at all. I really appreciate Stephan’s music and experience. Hearing the full story is really great and humanizing.
Great interview. Long-time fan, checked in here to see how he was doing. His humility in describing his version of the band’s success after all this time is endearing. No wonder he’s pumped out so much music, can tell he loves getting his thoughts/stories out there creatively. Anberlin really defined youth for me and my siblings.
I got to see them live at Center Stage on their "farewell" tour and Stephen had a moment of explaining where the band came from (he's pretty good when it comes to crowdworking and talking to the audience) and where they are now. The A&R rep went to one of their shows but Anberlin was opening up for both Underoath and Norma Jean at that show. Even Stephen when he was explaining the story had the sorta "yeah we get why we were overlooked that night" tone to his voice.
I got to see them live when they did New Surrender in full in Atlanta and he mentioned Feel Good Drag being the big song that launched the band into mainstream scenes. He said they were on the fence about remixing that track but they decided to take the risk. They were bold. Now here they are.
Love this band. Thank you for doing this interview.
Bawled my eyes out listening to his heart and interview, this man has inspired me to write music and do what RUVCH is doing now. Thank you Stephen 🖤
He’s a legend ♥️
Anberlin has alot of talent and they should have way more fame then they do. Love them.
Man this is so rad. I was 10 when Never Take came out and remember being so pumped on that album. Anberlin's been one of my favorite artists since I was a kid and I just stumbled across this. To see Stephen in the role he's in now is seriously the coolest thing. Makes me love their music that much more 🙌🏼
Thanks for watching! Feel free to share!
One of the best bands of all time
Huge fan here. Saw them at Rekord Theater in Towson MD. I was the oldest fart in there but felt like I was 16!
Interview was pretty fun

Stephen Christian is a bossman music
Very good
Was a anberlin fan until they canceled every Houston show I attended. Back to back years they scheduled just to pull out the day of. Lost respect for the band since. Wish them all nothing but the best but from my experience they let me down.
I used to tour with Anberlin and the erra we toured in was a complete mindfuck. You would play a sell out show and sign autographs and then your bass player would go back to work at a call center. Mentally the attention is enough to fuck with anyone. Let alone the free drugs, money, and women with no name
Why got the singer a tattoo???
Hilarious how he almost talked sh!t on notoriously cheap and shady Brandon Ebel and tooth&nail records....t&n isn't any kind of christian you'd want to follow and Ebel worships $$$....just ask 75% or more of t&n bands from day one to '06ish and probably even later actually. I was always an anberlin fan....Paperthin Hymn is my favorite jam and whatever that album was...I forget about them sometimes though because of the era but Id put them in the category of best t&n bands like (stavesacre), puller, project86 NOT SCHWAject86 btw, oc supertones, ghoti hook, spoken, slick shoes, the mighty FRODUS, outer circle, luxury and mxpx...im sure i left someone out....The Dingees! Ahhh damn I did!!! I played in a christian band and we chose sex, drugs and RnR and the band flopped...but I've spent nights between the ankles l, knees and thighs, and sometimes cheeks, of some beautiful women so God has still been bountiful!!!
