Rossi is a brazilian compani that's made good revolvers and carbines. Yesterday I dispend a couple hours shoot with one Puma Rossi in .38. I love this carbine.
Great video guy's thanks. I have a Marlin camp carbine for more than 25 years . It's in .45acp. Everyone laughed at me for getting a pistol called carbine back then. I purchased a Henry Big Boy in .357/ 38 special more than a year ago. They are both great I reload for 7 calibers mostly large bore rifle rounds two being the 45 and 357. I have a good selection of rifles and shotguns. Some sidearms only two. If I would have known I would have got more pistol caliber lever rifles they are fun in to shoot and wont break the bank. Well all ammo is crazy now. I've been saving ammo for a long time and reloading save a lot of money too. Before all this nonsense started I made two big buyer ammo so I'm in a good spot. Hope all is well in Australia nice video well done!!!
Thanks very much for watching. You have a very good selection of firearms. We have almost got our pistols, it is a bit harder here in Australia. We have a nice horde of ammo as well. Thanks for the comment. Be safe!
Thanks for the review. I am a new shooter and am looking into these and so far leaning towards 357 mag/38 special because of ammo being cheaper than 44 mag/44 special.
If I noticed correctly in the video, the weakest 158 gr Sellier Bellot's 357 magnum bullet was used - it is the LFN that gives the lowest velocity of 1125 fps and the weakest energy of 444 ft lb from a 6'' revolver. Sellier Bellot's strongest 357 magnum bullet is a 158 gr SJHP that produces a velocity of 1329 fps and 619 ft lb of energy from a 6'' revolver. I believe that with that strongest SJHP bullet, the penetration result when shooting bags of flour would be noticeably better and closer to the result of the 44 magnum.
Nice job boys. I'm looking for a 92 here in the states. Most everybody has to search for guns, ammo and components to buy. Primers...very difficult to find. Price gouging is rampant.
Hey mate thanks for watching!!! Lucky for us there is actually plenty of ammo supplies here in Australia!! Ofcourse it's a bit different here than the states. I would love .357 carbine!!!
Love the rifles fellas . those blued versions they do an amazing job on the blues and stainless as well I want a blued version in 44 I have the 24” octagon barrel stainless in 44 magnum/44special . It’s a damn fine rifle for hunting and with a total 13 in the magazine one in the pipe it’s a precise powerhouse I hand load as well and rabbit sized steel targets freehand at 100 yards no problem so I can definitely see 200 plus yards from a bench with ease amazingly beautiful Gun with Brazilian wood I certainly hope we continue to have these come into the country .
Hey mate we appreciate your comment!! Yes we love the lever guns!! We debate all the time what our bug out guns would be and it's always down to the lever guns and Josh's straight pull 12g!! We are still practicing the 200 yard mark with them!!! We appreciate them as much as you do!! Thanks for watching man!! No hand loading yet so you got is on that one!! Thanks for watching bro!!!
@@aussiegunners01 thank you. Watched all the vids and keep’em coming! . my first gun was a shotgun at 11 and a rifle at 14 yrs old learning to squeeze instead of pull was difficult . The Rossi octagon barrels hold a lot of potential for long range shooting . I’m glad you fellas enjoy these rifles as much as I do !! .
Hey Sherrell! Love the comment! We were both gun owners at a young age before 1996!! 22's and shotguns!! Thanks for watching the videos!! Filming a new one tomorrow actually with 22's! Playing some poker!! Hope you like it!!
Cleavers have these in special right now. Same price you state in this video. Im in 2 minds whether to go a 16" or 20" barrel. Ive got a couple of levers. A 16.5" henry in 44. A 357 would be cool in another shorty.
Hey big fella I’ve got a Marlin 357 mag lever action. Its a beautiful little jewel with a 3-9x40 Leupold on top and it came standard with a 50 kg trigger and unfortunately it’s shit, honestly it’s heavy 😂. Beautiful little gun but....not real accurate...I like those Rossi’s but I struggle a little with open sights... 44mags a good hitter . Enjoy the vids 🇦🇺👍
Hey Boys, Thanks for the Review, That's a Nice Range your at, Very Scenic, I'm up @ Armidale NSW, What Neck of the Woods do you hail from? Looking @ getting the Rossi Citadel Probably will go with .357 - Good Prices Cleaver has them for $899 -Cheers Paul🇦🇺⚔️🍻👍
Hey mate thanks for the comment!! We hail from country QLD!! We are very lucky to be able to use that range! It's deer hunting country! Go for the puma citadel! That looks fun as hell!!! Thanks for watching! Stay safe!
I load 2 rounds it and it won't let me load anymore if the gate shuts!! That's annoying!! I was expecting it to be like the 30-30 just keep feeding it!
Hey mate thanks for the comment!! We sure can own guns! Between the 2 of us we have a bit of an arsenal!!! Just got our first handguns also!!! But we can only on 1 for the first 12 months!! Thanks for watching! Cheers!!
FWIW Its basically the same for 44 mag. 44 Special comes in a wide array of power and grain weights (especially if you reload your own) so it can be softer than a 45acp and loaded to very stout and then of course you have standard 44 mag, to a full house 44 mag. Its a pretty huge range of power and bullet weights and FPS
I also have a Marlin 444 it's a 44 Magnum on steroids. It's also a lever rifle the most popular rounds are 240gr. , 265gr. I can load from 200 gr. Thru 300gr. 265 is the best load in my opinion. Not a fun rifle to shoot the kick is awful.
Haha sounds like a whole lot of fun though. The 44 tops out at 240gr factory ammo as we not into reloading yet. Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching.
No guns are not banned. We have heavy restrictions though. In a nut shell no one but farmers and dealers can poses semi automatics. They banned all the fun stuff basically. Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment.
Hey thanks for watching! Love the comment! Between Josh and I we have a few rifles and now our handguns!! Our laws are just very strict and regulated!! But own as many rifles you want just nothing semiautomatic. Bit of a buzz kill but we make do!! Cheers mate!
No mate! Just very restricted! We can own rifles, shotguns and hand guns. Hand guns are highly monitored and you have to complete 6 competition shoots per year for each Calibre or you loose them. You can own as many rifles and shotguns just no pump actions or anything semi automatic. We take the good with bad. Thanks for watching mate!!
@@aussiegunners01 yes my son filled me in last night. at least u can enjoy a good ol lever action and protect your property and life ,if it comes to that. cheers from B.C. canada!!

Puma 357, awesome rifle. Buttery action, light, versatile. Perfect even with 38.
Thankyou for the comment and your not wrong!!

I’m in QLD in the Scenic Rim. Your area looks like where I live 🇦🇺👍
Nice one fellas another good video. 357 do perform better than most when it comes to pistol calibres in a long rifle barrels. Cheers
I've had a Puma .44 since 2008. Super fun gun.
Totally agree! Always a great gun. Also not too heavy.
Look for stainless metal followers for the magazine tube, it should help with feeding problems. Great video gents. 🇺🇸

Hi, at 8:05, it 's not an issue, it's the normal way of loading a lever action carabine, even with Winchester Marlin, you have do this way.
I load 2 rounds it and it won't let me load anymore if the gate shuts!! That's annoying!! I was expecting it to be like the 30-30 just keep feeding it!
@@aussiegunners01 Ok, that's not normal, maybe cause it's new rifle...
357 is just like a real bullet only smaller.
What brand of ammo do you use for 357magnum?
Hey mate. It's usually Sellier & Bellot. Plus a mix of unknowns that were hand me downs! Thanks for watching and the question! Have a good one!
Do you gentlemen still own firearms in 🇦🇺 Australia?
