Rich, I saw that same DW kit finish at Ken Stanton music in Marietta,Ga a few years back. It was so cool looking that I had to get it on video on my phone. It was like staring into space.
That is so awesome. I have two kits I swap between. I have a TAMA swingstar and a PDP by DW concept maple. I actually went out and bought myself an AAX X-plosion crash because of Rich's high praise of the cymbal. I LOVE IT!
Rich this might be stupid question or questions , were you into Ian paice? Cozy Powell? You're a bad man , without a doubt my favorite new drummer , been onto you for years now, amazing drummer, much respect my son .....much...thank you for inspiring me..
You are one of my most favorite drummers for not only style, but personality! ( very marketable ). I went right out and changed a lot of my stuff after seeing this video. However, I think if I moved to Nashville, they would ask me to leave! Dennis Stone drumming to Before You Kill us All by Randy Travis. ( home made drum cover )
Cool Rich! Kit is awesome! Hey you were with my friend Gary a couple of weeks ago and ya'll did a selfie and sent to me :) keep groovin' dude! Love your stuff, DC
Hey @richredmond any chance you can give me a rundown or some pointers on how to get to where you are..??? I've been on tours nationally and internationally with groups freelance, as well as stage shows in Vegas and award shows... but I'm curious what the studio drummer side is like and if you've ever done that? And if that's how you landed with Andean or is it all basically word of mouth?? Much appreciated brotha.
Really cool, subscribed!! I only played a very big venue (for me) with over 5000 people once many years back, maybe couple times but I remember that was the time that I played more relaxed because I was miked and the SE loved drums so my mix was perfect and I was loud enough that I did not need to play hard at al; year playing like a maniac hard hitting in clubs and small venues not miked destroyed my hands as today at 54 got carpal tunnel in both hands and of course can not stand a regular set length anymore (have not played bands in almost 15 years) don't know, must be the adrenaline the crowd injects but if I am miked I tend to play smooth, so I can last...Don't the miking situation help you in this regards or it does not matter? Some drummers will play hard as hell no matter what but I think the more relaxed the easy the job?
Can't believe he went from Sonor to DW. His Sonor's had so much personality. These DW'S don't sound nearly as good. I would never switch from Sonor. Best sounding drums ever made.
Is there anything this guy doesn't endorse? Those cympads are a joke. You don't need them because the DW hardware allows you to adjust how much the cymbal is able to vibrate.
Doesn't matter if it free. It's not needed with the style of hardware he is using. There is a thing called integrity rather than just endorsing any product thrown your way.
take it up with him man. send him an email and see what happens. btw, companies use artists like rich to promote their products which is where a large portion of their revenue comes from. if anything, he's doing them a favor by giving exposure while he's on the road, which i guess a company like them needs, especially if their product isn't necessary... yah know... like you said... earlier... kinda makes sense... a little. I'm rambling now to be funny. haha, subscribe and have a nice day!
If that's the case then I do understand somewhat however, I could never endorse a product that I don't either like or feel is needed. That's just me though. I do realize it can be tough through when you are on this level and everyone is throwing gear your way. Still, have to be honest, he seems kind of like a tool. His whole attitude just seems arrogant.
Best rig rundown ever! Thanks for sharing!
Rich! How about a 2019 rundown 🥁👍👍
Rich is the real deal folks! Hell of a human being
Great Looking Kit Rich! Looking forward to seeing you in Jacksonville, FL.
Why don’t you use Your second hi hat on 2017 tour?

Rich, when getting cymbals, do you make any special requests?
Like do you ask for heavier AAXplosion crashes, or a particularly crashable Bash ride?
Dexter W. not usually! Usually right off the shelf
@@richredmond When you have a cowbell, Guess what? The song Need more cowbell
That was cool, thanks :)
Rich that rack tom looks a lot more like a 8x13 am I wrong?

H. I. McDunnough ....LoL believe that Rich could go from Sonor to Walmart drums and still own it!
You have two of the same crash?
Nice bro : )
2:07, when you get roasted by your own drum tech. 😂😂
5:26 did he just sing the guitar to mississippi queen, before referencing don't fear the reaper?..
What about the seat?
1:28 watch out for the reaction of the roadies

its all free stuff dog. welcome to touring musician's lifestyle
