If you have watched my series this is taken from you will not be seeing anything new. Its a condensed version and will benefit those who don't have the time to watch an entire series. Thanks to all for tuning in!
This is a great condensed version of the series. I watched both and they are both great to watch! The views are amazing and the riding is exceptional! Cheers Joe!!
@@jrdepew Thank you for sharing. You inspire me to get out and ride. I’m a little lost on the video editing, but waiting to learn to make videos like you are doing. Great commentary
I don't plan for that evening any earlier than mid day. I have a few options in mind but no reservations any earlier than that. Ties up options. I prefer to wing it.
Your videos are great. I'm about your age but haven't retired yet. Any comments on your son's tires? Looks like the rear is Trailmax Mission, and I'm trying to decide whether to go with that or something more aggressive on 2023 KTM 890 Adventure "S". Idaho BDR is my ultimate goal, but I'd have to haul the bike or ride over 2000 miles of pavement each way from North Carolina. The Mission is probably the only tire that would make the whole trip. Thanks.
He likes the Mission and has had a couple sets of them. They wear well and he had no issues doing WYBDR, then COBDR riding from Georgia and back each time. If you will do more on road than off they are a really good choice yet can handle most of BDR trails. I have been over the IDBDR and the Mission will do fine.
@@jrdepew Thanks Jr,I just bought a 2018 dr 650 witk 3400mi really like it Have a kawasaki super sherpa also,,I bought a new dr 350 back in 96 and traded it for a bmw funduro bad trade wish I had kept!

I love it. Good to see a Father/Son team... Nothing like seeing what's around the next bend... Great Job...
Credit to both of you for showing a family unit
my most valued asset. Thanks.

Hello from Fort Collins Colorado, will be trying out this ride sometime this summer. Thanks for taking us along!
Have fun!
You are truly an inspiration. Thank you for sharing your adventures!
Really like your handle name!
What a wonderful ride, adventure, and presentation, as usual!
Thank you very much! This video is a condensed version of my WYBDR series of videos on my channel. Appreciate your comment.
I think I would be standing up on some of that stuff.
Enjoyed the video.
Great video! I live in Georgia and love to ride remote roads. It’s great to see guys willing to take an adventure!
Awesome! Thank you! I’ve got a video of a ride up through Georgia, and Tennessee to March Moto Madness Rally 2022 on my channel. Some good back roads.

Great video JR what a ride with your son.

Hello JR. How much time do you plan ahead for your stays in hotels, cabins, an camp sites. Thanks for sharing. 😊

Thanks for getting back. 😊
This was great JR ! Sure does make me want to see Wyoming.
It's a tricky route due to short season but worth it.
Great show.
Thanks. Sorry for delayed response. I'm on another adventure!
yep did that last year on my t7 it was harde work at 26:00 we did idbrd and wybdr part of cobdr and part of utbdr in july was hot as f but fun
That sounds like an epic ride. I will be out west again this year. Thanks much for watching and commenting.
This is awesome
Thank you🤜🏻
Really enjoy your videos. I am interested in what seat you have on your DR.
A shame the venerable old steed let you down. I’ll be interested in hearing what the fix will be
The seat over time with the luggage strapped partially over it compressed onto the CDI plug and female terminals were broken.
@@jrdepewThank you. I’ll have to keep an eye out for that on my DR

it's 38, raining, and windy a few hours north of you right now lol
winter is over, my ass :P
Essentially, nearly, somewhere according to the calendar! Just pretend!
Ride on
Right on 👍🏻
JR. At time stamp 15:13 is that an Arai helmet ??
The helmet I am wearing through out this video is Bell MX-9 (white with blue) Mike is wearing a modular type. Not Arai.
Enjoyed the video! What mapping app did you use on the ride?
Gaia GPS
@@jrdepew Thanks! Watching your TAT across America videos right now. Great videos!
Those were my first attempt at Moto videography. Kinda rough! Thanks for watching.
@@jrdepew Great series! Watching and making notes
So, you never mentioned anything about his bike. Looks like a GS850?
I’m riding a Suzuki DR650 with aftermarket Acerbi fuel tank. Mike is on a GS800 Adventure.
Not crazy about that smoked windshield. Harder to see obstacles.
Hey Jr what chain sprocket teeth count are you running? thanks
14/42 on this trip and worked fine. Usually stock. Did the TAT with stock 15/42.

This DR650 is 2013 bought 2018 with 4000 miles. Has been a trooper with 20,000 now.
@@jrdepew 👍
