    Good morning I presently have two dressers and two chest of drawers as I moved from a bigger space to a much smaller space. I can't afford to throw away the extra as I intend to add other bedrooms. I am rather confuse as to how I can deal with this situation. Can I get some suggestions please. ( not able to start addition as yet and I have given away some of my furniture already. I also have a child in my space that I use to store her stuff).

    Dear Laura, great videos, I've started on decluttering a lot yesterday and woke up feeling light and happier in my bedroom today. What is the program you're using to make room layouts and mood boards? It looks fun to play with arranging and styling ideas. I'm wanting to to refresh the whole house. Love, Anna

    Why grey is bad for bedroom?? My bed cover is stone gray, and I like it because it don't get dirty as much as white covers. My bedroom walls are white and I don't have a bedroom set yet, just 2 side tables (white) and a TV stand in black and a big TV that I enjoy watching tv from my bed. And also a full mirror, I keep our close in the closet and our room is very simple. I want to incorporate a color but don't know, my favorite combination is stone grey and bring yellow. Is that a bad color for a bedroom?

      Grey is not bad - nothing is bad :) It is about what you bring into a space if you want to achieve something specific. For me and the FS I practice is all about the intention. You can look at what you have already and see if it is supporting you. If it is, great! You should leave it. Adding yellow to the scheme you have described would add a little grounding energy. Yellow is earth. This is supportive, stable and nurturing

    Hi Laura!My bedroom in in South West corner of the room with the entrance from the north..To my left that is on my left is a solid wall and to my right as soon as I enter the bedroom is the restroom and besides it the wardrobe.I have placed the bed on the Southern wall with my leg jetting out to the door and the restroom door.On the west is the window...so in short I can see the door and the restroom door and also the window from the position I sleep.How do I correct this..can't fix any crystals there as the ceiling is too high

      Thank you for your note. First, in the feng shui I practice, we do not use the cardinal directions. Instead we set up a space using the prevailing and dominate flow of qi. First you will want to see if you can place your bed in command. This is covered in the guide book. Now if you can't be in command without being in line with door (the door distance to the bed is less then your own height) then yes I would recommend placing a feng shui crystal between the bed and the door. You can also watch this video for more info on bed placement ua-cam.com/video/pDp4Hi4JWeg/v-deo.html

    Thanks for the great video. I have a question about bed placement. I have a non-rectangular bedroom--sort of a squat L shape, and the best command position for my bed means having a sharp corner from another wall pointing at the middle of the bed. I've read that sharp corners create negative energy. Do you have suggestions about how can I alter this visually and energetically?

    • @morrisfengshui
      @morrisfengshui  7 років тому

      You can place a mirror on one side of the corner wall which pushes the wall out energetically (do this if you generally sleep well - mirrors can add movement and water element) and hang a feng shui crystal from the ceiling right in front of the corner and set the intention to soften and dissipate the chi being directed at you.

    Dear Laura, if my husband KUA is 8 and mine is 1, how can we work the elements of water and earth together in our house , especially in our bedroom so that we can balance it all off? Thank you.

    • @morrisfengshui
      @morrisfengshui  7 років тому +1

      In the school of feng Shui I practice we look at the environment and the chi of the space/individual not the compass directions (so no KUAS or best directions). I would start with the command position for both - check out my bed placement video. I would get a sense of what type of energy you both need to support you both. Ask questions: are you stuck? anxious?... Or focus on setting it up for better sleep which will give you more energy overall.

    How about if your bedroom has a lot of brown.. dark brown dresser, bed, nightstands, curtains, accents on bedding

    • @morrisfengshui
      @morrisfengshui  7 років тому +1

      Very dark brown is actually the water element. I would add metal (light coloured walls) and some wood elements (the colour green or plants/flowers).

    • @brunettesweetie21
      @brunettesweetie21 7 років тому

      that's interesting, I always assumed brown was wood element

    • @morrisfengshui
      @morrisfengshui  7 років тому

      mid tone browns, sandy browns and beiges and yellows are earth, but very dark brown, dark blue, dark grey and black are the water element. The wood element is green and is only living wood - wood furniture and floors doesn't count as it is dead wood. www.morrisfengshui.com/blog/5-elements-basics

    How come you are applying fend shui and you put your desk in front of a wall?

    • @morrisfengshui

      I am actually sitting at my desk during this recording - that is another piece of furniture behind me. I am in the command position and I can see the door. Check out my video on Feng Shui for your Office ua-cam.com/video/f78wd7wF4a8/v-deo.html

    Grey is popular in bedding now. How do you feel about using it in the bedroom?

    • @morrisfengshui
      @morrisfengshui  7 років тому

      I like grey in a bedroom. Remember it is about balancing what you need. Grey is the metal element which is about being a good communicator and clear in your decisions which is great. It can also lean toward being too rigid if you have a lot of metal in your room and in your own personal chi, so make sure you balance it with small amounts of one or two other elements.
