Well, my KoT was modded so that each side of the pedal has its own in and out. So I can put each side in a separate loop on the Mastermind, and then can program whichever side I want to come on (or both) in any preset. Is that what you're asking? So like any looper, both sides of the pedal stay on all the time and you tell the looper if you want them on or not.
@@kiesshauer Was this a factory mod? I've already got a KoT, but I'm on the waitlist for another and will certainly get this mod on my next if it is a factory option.
How do you program your RJM to be able to have ON and OFF LED for your presets in a song (ex.: 5:10) ? When I do it I only see the active preset LED, all the other presets for the song are black.
There’s should be an on and off color led dropdown in the editor - I just set the off color to purple for all and the on color to white! (I think I’ve since changed to blue for off)
@@kiesshauer Thanks for your quick answer. The dropdown to select off and on led colour is just in the preset page. When I create/edit a preset I only have the option to select a led colour for ON no option for Off.
@@kiesshauer I have a Mastermind PBC 10 like yours. I have the latest version of the editor 4.5.0. I have the 2 dropdown menus in the preset page when I edit a button but when I create a preset with the "preset tab" I only have 1 dropdown to select a color.
Have you ever compared how your pedals sound going straight in and out of a pedal versus into a pedal by way of a loop on the Mastermind PBC and through the Masterminds ins and outs and circuitry etc? Curious if you've noticed any tonal difference or drop in power or how the pedal "feels" playing through it when using the Mastermind vs without it. I've tried a couple of other switchers in the past and this was an issue on both that I previously owned. But I've never tried the Mastermind. Thanks in advance for any info/opinion on that question.
Very much so yes. Way steeper learning curve, and more complicated initial programming with new songs and stuff, but incredibly easy execution for songs you've already got down.
@@kiesshauer Hi Ryan, I dont suppose you can elaborate on what its called and what other options there are out there like it. I do love its bare basic approach.
Will you be able to control the gain stages of kot even w/o pressing the buttons of the pedal itself? How?

It’s the four jack option. See the options on analog man website

Strange...which unit do you have? PBC? LT? Do you have the latest version of the editor and the latest firmware from the RJM site?

If you want to email me your file or a couple screenshots I’ll take a look if you want!

They feel and sound totally normal to me - I feel like RJM did a great job making a product that didn’t lose anything tonally!
What’s your pedalboard looking like now ?!?!
Doing an updated run-through soon! Late reply, sorry, haha.
Do you find the work flow and weekly setup much easier with the rjm over the dpc?
Very much so yes. Way steeper learning curve, and more complicated initial programming with new songs and stuff, but incredibly easy execution for songs you've already got down.
What type of patch cables are you running. Trying to figure out the best ones to grab for spacing and quality to run mine on my board.
I mainly use the GH solderless ends; I think they’re still the smallest ones overall
do all your pedals have to be MIDI capable, so you can you the looper?
Nope -- the MIDI features are separate. The looper can be used with any pedals; you can keep MIDI pedals in loops or outside of them.
What external switch are you using?
It's one from Dan at this1smyne.
I'm curious how this switched your amps channels. Does it take your amps Footswitch cable?

I’m trying to remember…I’ve seen some others but can’t remember specific names!
@@kiesshauer I assume it just needs an ABY with a TRS output with momentary triggers yeh?
