I cant get to bed there are too many rare ace dirt bikes not seen for years, decades even. What a great event, thank you for taking the time to ask folks about their bikes KK👍
That play-by-play you do before the gate when you get up close to all the different bikes kicks ass.. So nice to see these bikes ripping.., and not sitting around as trailer queens or rusting away in a dingy shed somewhere... 👍🇺🇸👍
There are A LOT of custom paint jobs on a lot of those bikes. At first I felt like they were desecrating something hallowed and special but... They're actually kind of cool. Thank you for showing us all of this basically live coverage of Daytona that we probably wouldn't get from anybody else Ken. Keep'em coming dude!
That is kickass history. I've started at around 8 honda trail 70 , had a few Indian 100's 79 yz 125 250, 79 suzuki pe 175, kx 125 86 cr 500 sold 5 years ago. Still have 72 suzuki tm 400 widow maker bike is near mint all factory parts original. It's a experience and great memories of my childhood.
Amazing vid, brings back the glory days of the early 80's up here in Ontario Canada. Thanks for bringing us, the viewer along for the Daytona experience.
Man thanks for the trip back in time brother 👌🏼 this is where it’s at man these vintage bikes are just something special ( S/S ) talking about flashback ‼️
Remember the expansion chamber stingers, with silencers for town , and I used a silencer all the time, need just a little bit back pressure, ,ok have wat to much fun watching, kool thanks you are on top of the year models, kool thanks BigAl California.
So cool to see all those bad to the bone bikes! And how awesome is it that Doug Henry is out there?!?! Very cool he is able to race again, that's quite the setup He's got
That sound - that's our old bikes! I had a '74 TM125 with the lay-down shock mod, then the RM125 made it obsolete in '75. CR125 Elsinores handled great and Honda ruled with Marty Smith.
Those are some nice bikes, I'm usually a Honda guy but some of those old Yamaha MX models, are impressive ,one of the MX 125'S sounded really hot , Other than that ELSINORE'S RULE!!!!!!! THANK'S from NOR-CAL!!!!!
“YZ 100, that things beautiful. What year is that?” 🦗🦗🦗 The guy with the ‘74 Honda that said he watches your videos REALLY wanted to tell you about his bikes! 😂 Lovin the content, man! Keep ‘em comin.
Thanks for snagging this footage, Ken! Man, I can almost smell the Castrol oil burning in these 2-strokes! I was hoping to see a Penton, Sachs, CanAm, Hodaka, Bultaco, Montessa, Ossa, or AJS in this vid. I'm going to check out your part 2 to see if I can find one! Thanks, Ken!
Thanks Kap for the video, love these bikes, great footage dont get better then this.Congrats to Jr pulling out a 3rd that track looked brutal i can imagine the arm pump.I got to see the 1987 kx125 i use to race at raceway-park mx track in NJ there, made my day .
I think my Husqvarna was a 1974, 175 , the last year they made a 175 , I believe, kool love it I’m not totally sure, but I think so , thanks brother , BigAl California.
Oh yes I see a couple of 250 Honda esanors, oh yes , nice love it , one of my buddy’s, had a big ol Yamaha 500, that bike was a beastly sounding bike, love these vlogs, thanks BigAl California.
I had an82 CR 480, a 79 CR 250, a RM125, and an 83 YZ 490. Seeing that pristine 82 480 made my heart race, the only bike I’ve ever really loved with a passion. We were one. Still have the 490 and also have a 83 CR 480 that I’ve owned since 86. Just somethin bout the old CR Hondas I love. By far the best looking bikes ever made. Those big bore air cooled 82,83,84 models just made arm dislocating power low n mid range, the 84 more top end. They all handled and they all cornered like they were on rails. Oh shit, i just rubbed my eyes and they had onion juice on them. Gotta go 😥😥😥
@@stevenowen4150 After riding couple of my buddies 490/ 500 , I knew quick I'd better stick with 125/250 , seeing how I could hardly even control the smaller bikes that well. My better judgement went out the window and I bought a 4 stroke. A big fat CR 450. Things didn't go so well, I kept waiting on the power band to kick in lol.
Great vid as always sr. 2 smoker's rule. First Doug Henry and the guy at 9 11 of the vid looks to be missing his lower leg. Just goes to show can't take the love of moto out of a guy keep up the great work guy's. Shout out to Jr on the vid for Todd he was a hell of a racer hopefully 🙏 he is doing well.
Seriously love those old YZ's, with Yamaha Classic Graphics on their gas tanks..that 82 RM 125 towards the end, and that White and Black Yamaha in the end . It looked like one of those Noguchi High Performance Factory Racing YZ's??
What is the rarest bike you saw there? What is your fav vintage bike you saw there? What was the best "all time" bike you saw raced there? Thanks if you see this & answer Captain. God Bless!
I cant get to bed there are too many rare ace dirt bikes not seen for years, decades even. What a great event, thank you for taking the time to ask folks about their bikes KK👍

That sound - that's our old bikes! I had a '74 TM125 with the lay-down shock mod, then the RM125 made it obsolete in '75. CR125 Elsinores handled great and Honda ruled with Marty Smith.

I miss the powerband of a crisp 2stroke....last one I owned was a 1986 Husqvarna 250CR that I sold in ‘04 (been in a wheelchair since 2003).
