What great bikes…I owned a couple of early 70’s Husky’s a CR250 and a CR400, they were awesome…when they ran 😂😂, I finally gave in a bought a new Kawasaki KX420 in 1981, why I thought I needed a 420 I don’t know because I wish I would have gotten the 250..
Reminds me of back in the 70's racing my '73 Husqvarna 250. This man is hauling on his Husky. Great riding. The clutch dragged so bad on mine once you put it into gear, you could not get it back out of gear without killing the engine first. You didn't have long once in gear before the dragging clutch heated up and you could no longer hold the bike back. It really was awful when the starter gave the signal you were about to go, you put it into gear and then he changes his mind and expects you to wait.
I absolutely LOVE those vintage class... it remember me my younger days when these bikes where the sh*t.... Now tell me that a 250cc air cooled club class woudn't be a blast for w-e warriors.... with modern suspensions and disc brakes... keeping the hobby affordable for everyone.... like it was in these days...
@@eloiseharbeson2483 I know... but I also know that I could rebuild a 2 stroke for 4-500$ back then... now it's that for a KTM 350F piston alone.... We need cheaper bikes to maintain...for the working man... we are not all sponsored full blown racers with a semi and 2 mechanics
@@cornemuse61 I'm 70 and I know what "it was cheaper back in the day" sounds like to most people. Sure bikes cost more to buy and maintain. So does everything else if you haven't noticed. Those bikes cost every dollar I could beg or borrow to keep running and were junk anyway. When I was in HS my best bud bought a 5 year old Corvette for $3K that had the 350 hp 327ci motor. Does that mean that I have any expectation of finding such today? There are things you need to be concerned about today MUCH more than having a motorcycle that you can operate for what you pay for coffee at Starbucks.
@@eloiseharbeson2483 You don't get my point I think.... 62 and getting older each year here too... I'm just saying that there's could be a market for simple/cheaper mx club class... I don't agree that bikes where all "junk" back then.... My old yz's and red rocket's where very reliable and fun bikes in the 80's... Bringing back something similar with modern materials/suspender/brakes COULD bring back many more riders (old and new) to the sport... Maybe I'm dreaming awake... just saying.... actual vintage classes seems pretty popular and growing if I'm right... Have a good day

What great old bikes! I raced enduros and MX on machines of this vintage.
1976 Kawasaki KX 400. The low pipe beast from the far east.
Elsinore the best 125 ever made, plug n play 190 kit turned into a 250 beater
What great bikes…I owned a couple of early 70’s Husky’s a CR250 and a CR400, they were awesome…when they ran 😂😂, I finally gave in a bought a new Kawasaki KX420 in 1981, why I thought I needed a 420 I don’t know because I wish I would have gotten the 250..
I could listen to that sound all day long
My weapon of choice was a 1976 Honda MR175. I was 15 years old and trail riding in Oregon. Good times.
I remember when those bikes first came out!! Ride a few of them too👍👍👍
I had a '74 yz when I was 8 yrs old. Grey tank with big red Nike style stripe. I loved it
Le migliori 🎉
Those guys were so nice and grateful.
Very cool bikes !
I dig the Evil Knevel riding gear. I would ride with it. Nostalgia.
That CR #22 is sweet! Love the metal tanks!
Ever swung your leg over a modern KTM? Better than a "works" (factory) bike from the '80's.
