My 13 yr old Golf mk5, has washers that are weak so after trying to clean the nozzles (no better), I will now try to replace the motor. Many thanks.
Would add, 06 golf sdi, i got the car without washer fluid, apparently a hose was disconnected, and second, the washer pump (looks unoriginal junk) only has 1 outlet so they did a T intersection for both front and rear washers. Little to no water pressure. Rear gets better pressure than front but no water from nozzle, it just leaks all around the rear hatch trim. Front has water dribbles from both nozzles but its too small. Ordered something from AliEx has two output lines and seems promising.
The nozzles on my golf mk5 are under the bonnet/hood. You can just pull them out with a bit of leverage and then remove the clips as in this video. Tip: Tie some string onto the clips in case they disappear inside the bonnet. Wash the nozzles in soapy water, you can use a cotton bud in the entrance to the nozzle and an interdental type brush to clean the tiny outlet. Then leave to dry and refit. You can adjust the nozzles using the screw to the side of the nozzle outlet!
Wait... Theres a fucking screw and access hatch from the front of the vehicle!!!!!! What!!!!!!!! I worked from below like a dumbass!!!! (The mud guard on my golf is long gone thx prev owners) and i complain and curse every time i needed to access from there! And then you just remove one philips and access it like a 1st world country citizen would 😲

Easy to change. They have to be as the original ones are rubbish.
