9:10 it's how you ride a two stroke on a track or in the twisties, the point is to avoid coasting on it, when braking at the track like that it really isnt that bad. Also when you break in a 2 stroke, if it's a single ring piston just do 1 or 2 gas tanks (quite slow) and you're good
@@TwoStrokeJ If you built your engine correctly just bring it up to temp before you shread on it, no need for long break in periods. Remember that a 2 stroke is lubricated via gas so long and hard engine braking is not good for 2 strokes since it starves much of the lubrication.
Bro watching your videos encouraged me to pull the trigger on my ktm 125 2stroke build! Just finished the bike and I’m super excited to start practicing wheelies!
Clappers Only! lol, I'm already in the club and didn't know it. I've 4 bikes that were $400 each and came broken, missing parts, or toasted. The most recent is an '98 RM 125 missing the top end parts. It's oh so gross and grimey but seems pretty tight and plush otherwise. Yours looks great! I've never had a 2 stroke. I kind of want to make it a big bore, but I'm missing the entire top end.
Still sticking to Michelin 2 CT? When hitting race track sometimes I'd choose much modern tires like Dunlop TT, Bridgestone S 22 or S 23, Pirelli Diablo Rosso 3.
@@Rongdongg Im actually looking at DRZs right now.. I decided I didnt want that big of a note buying a new husq.. I am looking for a good sumo converted DRZ for around 5k.. I just rode one for the first time a couple of weeks ago and fell in love... she was an older one too. It changed my mind all together.
You didn’t do any engine work / transmission work so what do you mean by the super moto rides different? It’s the same dirt bike you had before except different wheels ? Am I missing something
@@TwoStrokeJ Front sprockets are cheap so mess with that one first. I have a similar problem with my RM250 and noticed it has a 13 tooth front sprocket. I bought a 14 and a 15 but haven't had a chance to fit them up yet. Yours looks pretty good with the gold wheels, may go down that path myself.
how long did it take for you to learn to wheelie that good? i have put 120h on my bike and i can wheeile decent i can dropback almost scrape and i can do a little bit one hand, and i feel like kneeknock is trycky and uncomfortable. and coasting is hard im on my brake all the time and its gets hot and i have to put it down.
I would say about a year to get them down and then another year to get really comfortable. It's a good sign that you know how to use your rear brake at least. Now over time you will just get better and better if you keep practicing!
@@TwoStrokeJ wow a year, it would take double for me since it’s winter and a blizzard here for 9 months lol. But also I forgot to add I learned the rear brake in 20h. I practice 20h straight 😅 but I bought my bike 2 moths ago so it’s been really fast that I learned. Thanks for the answer
I wonder what kind of power she’s making? The KTM/Husqvarna 125s make 40 hp at the back tire. Highest specific output out of any production MX bike at any displacement.
Hey J, great video! I’ve been following you for a while dude glad you are still making lit videos 🔥 I want to ask what is your mic setup for motovlogging? I’ve just set mine up (in my most recent video) with a lavalier mic and gopro adapter but it sounds aweful :(
when you ride on the track you are better of not using the clutch just quick shift cause the way you use the clutch realy only makes you shift slower and lose time (just a little tip) :)
I always wanted to try supermoto wheels on my 125 exc cuz they always looked cool, and finally when I've bought bike with these wheels and first time drove they felt really smooth but with the same time disgustingly heavy, after couple more rides, I came to the conclusion these supermoto wheels sucks for me atleast, only usage I see in them are at track, look and really fun to do stoppies cuz of 120size front tyre. Overall I sold them and bought normal street tyres for my enduro wheels, best option imo
yea man they are definitely different. I have had both sumo wheels and street tires on enduro wheels, and I think overall Sumo wheels are better for what I do. They give you so much more confidence around turns in the street. But they definitely are heavier. I love both setups tbh
heres my tip that might be helpfull... keep your elbows as far out as possible and grip the grips "like a icecream cone". you can be so much faster. channel fortnine made an entire video on the topic.
@@TwoStrokeJ we wheelie to get over logs or jump rock not goof off tryin to flex in front everyone it’s like buying a Rolex spending all ur money n still being broke, its like getting a sick car but still live at ur parents or a baby trying to walk before you have learned to crawl now days everyone wants the shinny with out the elbow grease of polishing But u go boi ✊🏾

The hype is infectious I can’t list all my machines but I can wheelie my rm250 all day my ds650 not so much 😂

Big shout out to Toxic! Those guys are great. Always good to see a 'berg in the mix
for real man! Toxic Moto is actually great company I really respect them. And yea, those berg guys are hardcore sumo enthusiasts haha
Every time you ride the RM I remember the old quarantine days when I started watching you. So much improvement over the years ❤️👌🔥
yes sir time has flown!
Loved the editing style and intro! Way to get out there and make it happen, nice work all around!

Appreciate the love man ❤️
You have the best graphics I've ever seen, stunningly beautiful.👍
thanks so much man! They are from Bold Designz
Yesss!! It was so good to see you at the track that day. Next time jump on one of the 150r's and let it rip
Those 150’s did look really fun I can’t lie
I built a mini supermoto and I’ve been going to the local kart track a lot. Sooooo much fun. I’m getting pretty fast on it!
The 100’s and 150r’s that they were ripping did look super fun

Hell yeah brother, this upload made my day!
Glad to hear it man! Thanks for showing love
bike looks AMAZING!!! And nothing compares to a 2 stroke sumo on hte track. It is litarly the most fun you can have.
Thanks man! It definitely is incredible just flying through the gears
I’ve always wanted to try the track. I’ll have to do it. And that dudes look at the end hahahah
bro was straight up disrespectful
Bro the Sound🔥🔥🔥🔥
right!?!? It's tuned so much better now, it sounds so crisp at the top of the power band

Buddy. New tires, completely overhauled suspension, new steering head bearing, new brakes, new seat cover, new handlebar, grips and controls...
Love to see it 🙌
appreciate it my guy
A tip on riding super moto when you take a corner trust your tires and keep loos and lean with your shoulders and look where you want to go on track
Thanks man! I think I have the looking part down for the most part but I definitely am scared to trust the tires too much haha
Two stroke Jay made me spend all my money on mopeds i love you
bro I've been trying to justify spending even more money on mopeds recently haha it's a trap! But so fun
you need to change the sporoket on it i had 2018 honda cre 125 and that went 160kmh stock still not as fast as the sport bike 125s but still quick
yea I could mess with the sprocket sizes for sure

Do you think if the bike was geared super long that it could reach speeds over 120ish mph?
There is just something fun about building a proper junkyard dog up. I end up mix and matching suspensions when i do!
yes bro I totally agree! Sounds like you are building some Frankenstein bikes haha that's awesome!
RM looks minty fresh
thanks man!
A gold gas cap would be sick!
stay tuned haha I may have already gotten one

12/49! I am changing to a 13/47 to hopefully make it more cruiseable in the street

It’s real ridding doing wheelies is not real ridding - real talk
A lot of "real riders" can't do wheelies because it takes just as much practice as any other form of riding. Therefore it is real riding
