I'm doing this after one month of training at work! I'm super excited. I'm glad I'm extremely nearsighted. It helps a lot with these ridiculously tiny components.
This video gives me hope. I always thought I couldn't solder cause I have slightly shaky hands. But it's just bad technic with no flux. I've learned so much with these videos.
The BC2 chisel tip is a designator only for the TS series. If this was a T12 style type from hakko BC2 would be a hoof tip and not a chisel tip. Aren't standards great! Both are far superior to conical tips IMHO. I'd never leave no-clean flux on a board. That name is largely discombobulated. If you don't have the part at reflow time it might be best to remove solder paste from one side of those positions or wick one side off before you hand solder the parts. Otherwise, your components do not sit flat.
I just keep my ts100 iron at the default 300C for almost all soldering. If the pcb is large and I'm soldering the side of a part that touches the ground plane, the iron may loose heat, so I will use the hot air to warm the board.
Hello! Nice video!! For 0402 component, soldering by hand is really hard. BTW, is it an ferrite bead? From its color. Looks like ferrite material. And if you are interesting about challenging 0201 component hand soldering, please contact me. I can arrange some component for you.

Yes, that helps and the microscope is even better!
True.

Excellent quality video with clear instructions. Close-up camera really helps!
Thanks!
I bought an SMD soldering practice kit. It has 12 of these. WOW they are SMALL!!
big thank you
I usually reheat the first side after i properly solder the other side.

Thank you! Could you show a vid of soldering an 0402 led to 2 wires? 30awg 'ish?
Creative video, like it, thanks :)
Thank you! Cheers!
do you focus on looking at the enlarged version thru the microscope or do you look at the board
I always look thru the microscope, you need to be able to see if the solder is making a good connection.
You can use a magnifying glass instead. Easier too see and be able to see the field of depth.. you don't have that with microscopes.
Wish my hands were that steady; I can't even get a clean grip on the component (and have had 7 pieces go flying).
Very nice...
What was the temp of your iron to solder the 0402 parts?

Please mention the name of this soldering iron. I did not find this one.
Hi, that is the TS100
@@solderingironguide i dont know why my soldering iron got black and did not work after that.
А потолще жала у вас нет?

Easier said than done...
why do americans say solder like saw-der instead of like soul-der?
Some of the vowels are silenced.
For god sake, get your self something smaller, even a t245 would be better. Ideally for this size you should work with t210 or even t115
