I've gotten to where I weigh my ingredients in grams. So if I have a traditional recipe that gives it in cups and teaspoons, etc....i weigh those ingredients and write the amounts in the recipe. If the recipe turns out great...then I know those weights are good and I can make it exactly the same each time by weighing the ingredients
