Hi Fran. Congratulations on Top 500. I blew top 10K. Didn't go Saka because of injury, benched Isak for Bruno (leaks on injury?), stayed loyal to Saliba/ Gabriel and played Gvardiol benching Porro. Gutted tbh finished 25K. Won my mini league by 9pts though. I had been all for signing Eze for a -4 and advised others to do so. What should I have done Fran? Obviously played Isak and Porro in hindsight. What would you have done? Is it all about EO in that situation to protect rank? Appreciate the reply and well done again. Pete
Apologies Peter. Tough situation for those who made some 50/50 calls on that final matchday. I would have just played Porro, it was an EO decision and a great fixture - no reason to bench him outright when he arguably has the same level of 'value' as a Saliba. I think the other moves would have been hindsight so no need to fret on more.
Thank you for the reply Fran. I 'kinda' knew the Porro EO but stayed loyal to Saliba/ Gabriel as I owned them for most of the season. Lesson learned the hard way. Was Bruno over Isak the same. I was selling Bruno to Saka and benching Isak (He was rumoured to be benched). People got lucky having Isak as autosub on this move with Bruno, regret it now. Three or four decisions were either not made or were wrong to be frank in hindsight. 91% rank drop on GW38 to 25K. Thanks for the advice. Well done again Fran.
That's why I didn't mention the moves with Bruno/SAka - it's all a case of hindsight. For what it's worth, I had also willingly benched Isak due to the initial bench rumours and even benched him behind Saliba but 3 mins before the deadline we got news he was starting instead so I just moved him back to 1st, very fortunate swing. Porro as I said is a case of equivalent fixture to Saliba so if you wanted to be 'safe' on the final day that would have been the play imo as per the game theory segment in this video

Hey Fran! It's been an amazing season, thanks for all your help. Currently sitting at 1.5k and 9pts of my desired top 1k finish. I was thinking of a move like Haaland-> mateta/wood and a midfielder like son/foden -> salah. I'm not too fussed about dropping, you know, go big or go home! And I'm also an Arsenal fan so I don't mind doubling down and backing against city.
I might not keep it for every video as it's not that significant but for my 50/50 dilemmas I can definitely talk EO more next season in terms of how I make my moves each week and what my considerations are.

I have the same team as you, except Raya / White as my 2 ARS def and Ödegaard instead of Saka. I'm rank 103k with goal to land top 100k. One option for me is Gordon to Olise and play: Raya - Gvard, White, Porro - Olise, Foden, Palmer, Son - Isak, Haaland, Jackson. With Ödegaard first bench. Another is to do Odegaard to Saka or Havertz and bench Gordon. Between your #1 and #2 I have no clue :)
Interesting! I actually really like just playing odegaard even over Isak. The move of Ode to Saka/Havertz is one I’m probably more fond of though since Isak is super playable

Bit of a long question, but Im 17 points behind my ML rival and it will likely be Raya, Porro, Eze, Son and Johnson for me vs Petrovic, Gabriel, Olise, Isak and Havertz from him. Do you think I should also go for a differential captain such as a Son vs his Haaland, knowing that it won't affect my overall rank too much to bother me, or do you think those 5 different players are enough to potentially catch up on their own?
Damn,so many options....a little tip; follow your gut feeling Fran. For a differential just go through the highlitghts of GW37. If there is a player that just might be on the verge of something big. I think it's Eze. L'pool defense is not as good as it used to be,Robertson is injured....just a heads up. Hope you break the 1000🤞💪🤯

Good luck, I like your tactic of playing tight to ensure a small gain rather than risking a punt. I’m doing the same but just outside 10k. If KDB injured or doubt I could bring in Salah (2 FTs) but would mean playing Gordon, or I could bring in say Saka and Havertz/Olise
You the best, after seeing your -16 hit, i got motivated and took -24 my team had only 3 doublers, miraculously i got a green arrow and Gvardiol repaid all the hits😂😂❤

Raya or Petrovic in goal? I have Ederson and Petrovic right now, but unsure whether to use two free transfers and get Gvardiol into my team and change keeper as I already have triple City or just bench ederson play Petrovic and use the 2 free subs to triple up on arsenal players. Any help is greatly appreciated!
I really don't mind either or, as in 1) Using 2fts to go Gvardiol, or 2) Using FTs to get ARS mid and defence. Both are fine, think I'd prefer going Gvardiol personally but it's up to you.
Should I -4 I’m 17 points so 21 behind in my mini league if I do it and I’m doing kdb to olise and Gordon to havertz both players I’m bringing in the leader doesn’t have and both I’m bringing out he has
I think you have to cap differential - the hit will prob set you back further. any other things you can do to change things up player wise without the hit?
Have a 21 point lead in mini league going into final gw. Also two FT in the bank. Team is template almost but Problem is I don't have gvardiol in there and need to burn two transfers to get him in (removing Enderson aswell) . Tho am thinking two transfers out means I can get Salah in and keep one of son or Fernandez. And Gordon on bench. What to do 😂 help
if you have a 21 point cushion and can get Salah easily, I'd just do that (because it feels like you have SO much security). Maintain the lead by attacking imo. At the same time, if the mini-league is all you care for, nothing wrong with being defensive.
Thinking to line up in a 4 4 2 gabriel white porro gvardiol in defense...but wondering if i should start isak over one of the defenders...what's your take on this?

My team: Ederson Petrovic Gabriel Burn Dunk Porro Romero Garnacho Foden Gordon Palmer Son Isak N.Jackson Haaland. 1 FT, 0.7 M in the bank. What should I do this week? Is there something crazy differential worth taking the risk for captaincy or -4? Anything just to get me back to 100K 😢 Thanks alot appreciate it
Brennan, Eze feel like differential this week. Tough luck with the swings lately. I assume gw34 was the brutal one? Curious question - are you tempted to play as aggressively with differentials next season?

I’m 9 points ahead in my mini league. Should I go for Olise to defend against the guy who owns him and he also has double arsenal defence with VDV, where as I have the option of double Arsenal Gvardiol and Porro. So don’t know which 3 to pick for my defence. Any thoughts?

@@FPLFran I just feel Gusto is not benchable after his performance midweek. Especially with Reece James suspended now. Gusto is nailed on too start and playing at home! It could easily be another double digit haul…… in my opinion.

I think Eze could send you over the line. I assume the Salah move involves a hit which can push you further back
Btw for someone who loves differential punts often, I'm digging the new EO section

Depends on who you have in attack. I think I'd consider playing 4 but 5 is a stretch, I assume you have better attackers to play

I have Ederson and Petrovic right now, but unsure whether to use two free transfers and get Gvardiol into my team and change keeper as I already have triple City or just bench ederson play Petrovic and use the 2 free subs to triple up on arsenal players. Any help is greatly appreciated!
I really don't mind either or, as in 1) Using 2fts to go Gvardiol, or 2) Using FTs to get ARS mid and defence. Both are fine, think I'd prefer going Gvardiol personally but it's up to you.

Should I -4 I’m 17 points so 21 behind in my mini league if I do it and I’m doing kdb to olise and Gordon to havertz both players I’m bringing in the leader doesn’t have and both I’m bringing out he has
I think you have to cap differential - the hit will prob set you back further. any other things you can do to change things up player wise without the hit?

Have a 21 point lead in mini league going into final gw. Also two FT in the bank. Team is template almost but Problem is I don't have gvardiol in there and need to burn two transfers to get him in (removing Enderson aswell) . Tho am thinking two transfers out means I can get Salah in and keep one of son or Fernandez. And Gordon on bench. What to do 😂 help
if you have a 21 point cushion and can get Salah easily, I'd just do that (because it feels like you have SO much security). Maintain the lead by attacking imo.
At the same time, if the mini-league is all you care for, nothing wrong with being defensive.

Brennan, Eze feel like differential this week. Tough luck with the swings lately. I assume gw34 was the brutal one? Curious question - are you tempted to play as aggressively with differentials next season?
I also wouldn’t captain someone else since it’s not simple for you to get Salah

Next Season I want to try to get to top 10 K. This year I was so close, so I would go aggressive differentials

I’m 9 points ahead in my mini league. Should I go for Olise to defend against the guy who owns him and he also has double arsenal defence with VDV, where as I have the option of double Arsenal Gvardiol and Porro. So don’t know which 3 to pick for my defence. Any thoughts?
just pick porro 1 ars and gvardiol imo. and go Olise to block

@@FPLFran I just feel Gusto is not benchable after his performance midweek. Especially with Reece James suspended now. Gusto is nailed on too start and playing at home! It could easily be another double digit haul…… in my opinion.
