- Cheers to Savage Game Design and Bohemia for giving me Early Access to S.O.G. Prairie Fire and letting us record early.
The first of two Campaign videos, covering missions 1-3 of the SOGPF Coop Campaign. We had Barden, one of the developers, along with us for these missions as our pilot, and the 12 Cadians as the ground team.
What unit/clan is this?
This is my unit, the Cadian XXth. Casual milsim, roleplay and all those weird ops that you never get to play in your normal milsim group. It can be found in the discord: / discord

What is this mod?
This is S.O.G. Prairie Fire, a Creator DLC for ArmA 3 by Savage Game Design. It's a Vietnam-era DLC.
Are you SovietWomble?
I wish. Video definitely has inspiration from the likes of Soviet and Max0r, but I try to strike a nice line for telling a story, humorous edits and actual gameplay. I try to put out a video every three days, hence why not every single video will be a Fustercluck or not as long or detailed as I'd like. Time constraints are a problem.

That mission objective is actually really cool because that's an actual thing the US did. The US spiked NV ammo to make them explode NV guns, and the scary thing is that it's still an issue with NV surplus from the Vietnam war. There are videos of people in the middle east who were filming shooting their AKs in full auto, only to have them spontaneously combust because they were using old NV surplus.
Yeah to worsen the relationship between NV and their communist suppliers, pretty cool.
You'd be amazed how far and wide that ammo has been distributed scary

The patrol objective we had a similar issue, we had to have everybody there in order to trigger it, which was like 12 people

Fun fact:tunel rats is an mobile task force unit in the scp universe they are speciliezd in securing scp subjects in tight or underground spaces

A not so fun but real fact: a tunnel rat was a term for soldiers who had to perform search and destroy missions underground during the Vietnam war
Alone, underground and usually armed with nothing but a knife and a pistol (due to having to crawl through so much dirt that could jam their firearms)
So basically what we see in the video but much more less fun xD

I love the DLC it is a great historical shooter.also it allows for an expanded arsenal for modern operation scenarios in ARMA 3.

There was a vet in my town who was a Tunnel Rat. The way he was able to cope with everything after the war, was by digging out the ground under his home and creating a basement.

The way to deactivate the mines or traps is to spot them (the red triangle) and then the point man can deactivate them
I just did the tunnel mission last night. I had one of those moments when I told two of the other players to follow me while the rest of the squad split to go down a different path and immediately walked into a punji trap.

Loved the video Rimmy - Downunder Gaming! Everyone, can we get some F's in the Chat/Comments for Rimmy's computer Blue Screening on him like that? Can't wait for the next video man! When you're done with the "Story" or Campaign Missions, you could try doing some "Free Play" or Custom Campaign Missions with ArmA 3 UA-camr's like Squiders as maybe a Joint Operation between the ANZAC's, The U.S. Army, The U.S. Marines Corps, and the ARVN (Army of the Republic of Vietnam) against the VC and PAVN (People's Army of Vietnam/Vietnam, North). Bring in the VTubers as well please as seeing them play ArmA 3 was so "Clucking" Hilarious!

I love that part when they call out prairie fire. I played the whole mission by myself, I snuck in and out of all camps because I also found that first camp and planted some ammo there but figured it was the wrong one so I walked up and down the entire trail only to find the objective in another camp. Anyway, I sneak out of that camp, run into a patrol on my way out and get into a short firefight. I feign a retreat east almost right away and then casually jog my way south to the LZ, when suddenly, after a full 3 minutes of nothing noteworthy happening, they start shouting out PRAIRE FIRE PRAIRIE FIRE THERE MUST BE A WHOLE BATALLION OUT HERE. I literally saw fucking nobody until I got to the LZ and the 2 minute defence sequence starts.

i could just hear max doing the PJ routine in the helo and that was all i could focus on
That ending got me
Bruh a few mates and myself did that second mission for about an hour just destorying trucks and any VCs nearby before we decided to bug out. The resulting extract after that became an all out war of attrition, I mean we had so many after us that we just couldn't make any progress without getting hit. Yeah we failed that mission BUT that firefight was absolutely amazing we all used up our ammo.
