The Chainsmokers - Hope ft. Winona Oak (Lyric Video) = COPY CAT FRIDAY
HATS OFF FOR YOU GUYS
Please make a video about audio effect when we're editing the video in prema pro
Do more of these videos showcasing cheap but good products please!
I agree. I knew little about tungsten because my idea is that hot lights are just bad. But cool to learn that super high cri rating 👍🏼
I'm Italian and I spent one week to look for a film shop, but nothing. YES, I'm only 17 and I'm doing scientific high scool and I and I don't know anything about filmaking But, when I found your channel I fall in love with filmmaking. YOU ARE THE BAST GUYS!!!!!!
Also something that wasn't noted but should be is that these tungsten lights draw far more power than LEDs. Make sure to measure out how much energy you're drawing and check that its appropriate for the circuit breakers.
Amazing video as always. You guys aren't just filming and editing good but also teach us, thanks a lot for this kind of videos as well
I was literally just looking for a light. Super glad that you always impress. Ty Cinecom ❤
Can you guys make a lighting tutorial. The lighting always looks awesome in your videos.
They do have a Skillshare course on that one, just grab the link from their website Cinecom.net and you will be good to go for 2 months (you need a Credit card to register though, and they don't take prepaid ones)
that was so much awesome and the DIY part was fantastic
I did the exact same thing two years ago, works like a charm still!
That set up to camera is awesome! Cinematography on point 🙌🏼🔥
i have a exam next week but IT DOESN'T MATTER BECAUSE THERE IS A NEW VIDEO FROM CINECOM
I know just how you are feeling! Best wishes on your exam, too. Best of both worlds...

again with the banger video as a new filmmaker, I will for sure use this
Also make sure you insulate your electrical wires (unlike cinecom) lol as the aluminium try is conductive and 240v will hurt
When you post something that I saw you were working on from Instagram. I get that feeling of "I knew theyd post this (sips drink)
This is a fabulous video with such practical info. Thanks.
Meanwhile the room is filling with a burning light smoke lol.
I was thinking the same thing!
Someone else noticed lol.

You are awesome guys ! I really love your passion about cinema effects so could you please make a tutorial for the visual effects in Black Mirror: Bandersnatch when Stefan started to touch the artistic wall and immediately it turns into kind of liquified movement ?! That would be great if you did it guys . Thanks again
Great video Jordy, although with the amount of smoke around at the end I was getting a bit worried one of your fresnels was on fire!
please more about cheap lighting!!!
Please you guys should keep up with such videos!
I have been building Gui10 arrays with fresnel fittings and loading them with LED spotlights. You can fit about 12 bulbs into a big fresnel unit.
Again an amazing hit video for us😃😃

Bedankt ik heb nog eens goed gelachen.
Love you guys!
Wow very informative thanks
Strands are great tungsten lights, I've used them on all levels of Hollywood features and TV frequently. A Ton of indy shoots as well. It'll take LED lighting a lot more fine tuning to get me away from tungsten hot lights. The quality is just better, more reliable, and easier to control.
That's definitely true. Tungsten is just amazing. Everyone's trying to go to LED since they're getting cheaper and are hell of a lot more efficient than tungsten, but we're going to have to wait another 5-10 years or even more for them to have great color rendering without being so expensive. Maybe that won't change, who knows?
It’s true, that is the reason i bought a Leonardo desisti 2k fresnel last year, the thing is it’s so big and heavy that it requires a big car for me to take it on location (because i have a fair amount of gear to take and 1 light isn’t nearly enough) and it’s heavy it also makes the place extremely hot etc,
Basically, i am now looking to invest 800€ in a aputure cob 120 markII, way more usable i think ( even if it’s just for the fact that i can actually a softbox without burning the place down on that thing...amazing
Great video! When I saw your picture on Instagram, I thought the lights was fake and Photoshoped in 😂 100 Dollar is so cheap for lights. The only problem is that I don't have the space to store the lights and it gets real hot so I don't think it's ideal for my house. It sounds very scary that they can explode aswell. The lights would be perfect for a studio like your's because you have space to use and store them.
I will not say that the LED lights to 200 Dollar is that bad as on 1:51 tho. I got a light kit of three for just 500 Dollar and the CRI and TLCI are 97+. Backing paper works great for diffusion, I have used it myself for years. I also use aluminum (for baking) to shape the light. Don''t you have something similar? Is it called cinefoil and it is black and stiffer?
I have made a LED light that I use for everything. It's just a work lamp (LED) so THAT is super green. I use aluminum foil around and baking paper in front and use gaffers tape to connect it all together. I use GELs in fornt of that so it works great and are super cheap. The only problem is that it's a pain to build and if someone craches into it, it will be destroyed and you will have to start all over again (my cat has destroyed it many times 😂)
Thanks bro 🙏🙏
Thats awesome jordy go on
This video just saved me $600. I swear to Rick and Morty if you're ever in Portland, Oregon I'll buy you the best beer you'll ever drink.
Siento que llegue temprano, me encanto su vídeo una vez mas :)
OMG... I've been putting my BAND-AID wrong my entire life... Thank you for letting me know how to finally put them on the right way. HAHAHAHAHA. PS. I own the same cheap lights :) LOVE THEM!!!!
My best video about lights ever!
you basically taught me everything i learned in my first year of college in 9 minutes
Great job! Now do a video where you buy one of these things and replace the tungsten with an LED light!
Thanks 🙏

Hey Guys
Maybe make a video on the cheapest practical gear?
Specifically video cams, accessories, mics etc
It would really help film makers just starting out

What ever happened to "Ask an adult before attempting electrical engineering", Jordy?
ورده
Can you do a tutorial on how to animate the logos/titles in your videos?
I love you guys
Question is, can you replace the tungsten lights for LED?
Other good brands for these kind of lights include CCT and selecon. Also make sure you use proper heat resistant gels for these or they can lose their colour very quickly. Also a lot of the plugs that come with these are designed for dimmer packs so they may need replacing. These are still really good lights and great video showcasing them
cool video keep going
Nice video
Cool!
the best channel on youtube
Finally iv’e got my first reflex camera !! Im only 13 xD
All those lights you have. May I have one please and thank you lol
Which one system is best for video editing a window or mac .
I love my cheap neewer LED set 😅
TIL Dane Cook knows a lot about lighting.
Hey, how would a bunch of monochromatic Sodium(Na) vapour lamp lights look??? 🤔🤔🤔
I’ve got a lamp you can controle with a remote controle. It has all the colors of the rainbow!
I died at "het tjoepke"
Have you PAT tested that baking tray mate
Hi, I bought two of these but the yokes didn’t come with any adaptors for stands, do you know what kind I need to get them to adapt to a 2.8mm standhead?
The monster arrived 0:07
Luv your videos
How refreshing. Im a big fan of Fresnel incandescent lights. I bought 5x 2K Ex BBC Lee Strand £250 and 2x 5K Ex BBC Lee Strand ten years ago and many others since. Also purchased yesterday second hand Lowel 3 point lighting kit complete with Tota and 2x Omni-Lights, stands etc etc £100.
Shockingly Ive had second camera ops make sarcastic comments about the Lee Strand lights. What he failed to realise that a couple of the 2K were deliberately in shot for a Dragons Den type shoot for Sony BMG, the Strands were perfect as a practical being all black, rather than say Arri or LED lights. Using these as practicals, music videos, is perfect and popular at one time.
All the lights are so well made and have and will last for years and have tremendous scope.
I know directors that bought cheap Chinese lights, and the just fail. They are a fire and electrical hazard and most went up in smoke. Bin the Chinese bulbs too.
In addition I adapted 4 photography soft boxes from 2m to 40cm various shapes with Bowens speed rings that fit over some of the lights above.
Ive used LED lights for many productions over the years, but the throw just seems short, multiple shadows, lack of control from spot to wide etc. weird strobing on CMOS cameras. It can be risky and we've been caught out before, so we stuck with Incandescent lamps, they JUST WORK, so essential on a shoot.
Just think photometries, if you're a Cinematographer, you'll know what I mean. Also the colour balance on LED lights vary, when they start to fail they are expensive or disposable, not always very robust, still evolving and can become obsolete (out of fashion) as the technology evolves. LEDs have their place.
Think of it as WATTS per buck or pound, and ease maintenance.
Good spot Jordy
To me I like to view everything as a tool at my disposal. I do not understand this replacement mindset that many have with replacing tungsten with LED. Why not just welcome LED into the family and allow them to do what they're good at and allow tungsten to do what they're good at. Artistically it's freeing to look at all the tools rather than just limiting myself to only one type of course. All have a place within the family of lighting.
6:38 - Next level DIY... :DDDD
The power requirements are pretty high for these!
I know it's just the light hitting the smoke machine smoke, but at the end it looks like Jordy's going to burn the studio down 🤣
i spend all my money on lights and my girlfriend hates me now, can i get a heart? :D
lol
just do some photo shoot for her once in a while so she can post to her social stuff, hahaha i.e. bribe her
Can you light up her life?
More diy videos pls😍
My first time here, glad I stayed
Jordy u look dope in beard😘
