? For u. High high of a microfarads reading do u go til the cap is toast ? On start caps I thought u look to keep the range in the middle somewhere between the ratings on cap. Ex 165uf - 269 uf . I'm a sponge 🧽 for learning. Thanks for sharing your videos 📹!
I would have checked for a leak due to possible oil loss caused compressor to lock up then decide on whether or not to fix it because after the compressor is installed to find out the evaporator is leaking also would leave a bad taste in the customers mouth this is because it has had a sealed system repair already ie.. the aftermarket filter drier
Nice video man! Do you leave the 3 in 1 on if it works or go back with original start components? I know this varies by the person, just curious your thoughts I always lean towards installing new start components.
I have a three and one 1/3 to 1/4 hp On a cheep extension cord six foot just to see if it will start, and i have a 1/2 hp for the bigger comp. Don't want to go through all the work of installing it if it doesn't start.
if its not working unplug it before the service co shows up...this way if you have the click of death and try to put on a 3n1 the compressor will be cooled down
What do I think I think you should have to check to see if it had gas in it compressor, door gasket, possibly flat =trashman..or quote if they prefer to fix
Good vid. I Would have Liked to see the unit actually drawing LRA current. Kit might not have been working ( I’ve never had a bad Kit ) but still like to see LRA on meter. I carry a stubby guage in my QSC bag & I would like to know if it had gas in it. Only 6 yrs old like u say. Prob has gas in it , but I can’t take any chances , if I do , I get bit in the axx. I would have also recovered any gas in it & snipped cap tube at drier & thrown some nitro in it to see if cap tube is pluggo or not if I’m going to bid a compressor job. Probably a good candidate for a compressor being it’s only 6 yrs old , but I still need to see if it has a full charge of gas in it. If not , time for the scrap pile.
many of us could open that van in a few seconds tops anyway ;) but luckily the majority of us that can do so, wouldn't anyway. unless it was to save a "Dave" from having locked himself out :)))
Hey Dave do you use the go pro or the phone. I tried using the go pro but I set it up and the customer is like what are you doing , I said I tape it just in case so I can go back a see what I did , one asked me to turn it off 😂
Nice job Dave 👍👍👍 New video of a compressor install 👍👍
For sure.
Uncle Dave lookin' 20 years younger holy crap!
Smash the compressor terminal cover, then gently click in place 🤣🤣🤣
Epic stuff. I do.
Good one Dave, yeah put in compressor and door gasket
When you first looked down at your shoes, I thought you were wearing UGG bedroom slippers. LOL
Lol. Carhartt with composite toe. 🤘⚡️🤘
LOL
Hey Super Dave , I watched your vid and NASCAR at the same time ... Yeah , I'd replace the compressor ...

There is usually a % on the cap that you can by.
@@NorCal-refrigeration yes but if the microfarads is higher then the % rating can u still use it
@@shine-cg9uf I was taught they need to be within rated % or replace them.
Cool thanks !
Surprise you didn't bring out the old faithful start cord .GURU
I had was rolling the dice and decided to try the 3n1 since some have made a test cord with the 3in 1.
I'm glad they think you are cool, but calling you broke was a little rude IMO.
you so experience it looks butter getting this done

I’ve had good luck with them. The shop I used to work for went oem
You can check your compressor without fixing compressor terminal cover and tie with Cable ties 😃😃😃
I thought you'd pull a compressor out of the vangina
😂😂that would’ve been epic.
It’s finally playing
Hi how much is your monthly salary
Dave, I knew you were "that guy." 😉
I had my fingers crossed for you Dave. 🤞
Oh ya.
I use an amp probe to see if capacitor is drawing current and run winding after I check the mfd

I have a start cord I use. But had nothing going on after this call so I thought I’d try the 3 in 1.
When getting door gaskets do you measure the door or can you use the model # on the unit
Model and serial. If you have the RHS catalog you can take it in and find it also.

Correct. In the video I ohm out the compressor and the internal thermostat is reset. 🤘⚡️🤘✨

You can drive up and put your amp probe and gauge on anytime you like Phill 🤘⚡️🤘✨
Fix it, the inside looks good.
Sure, fix it right up...seems to be in decent shape otherwise.
Impressive banana eating technique 🤔
I was shaking it like a dong too. 🤘⚡️🤘
Click Of Deatharooski!
Good one.
@@NorCal-refrigeration I knew you would like that one! 🤣
below what year you would not fix a cooler like that? 10 years?
You can rebuild as old as you like. But at some point it’s less expensive to buy a new one.
@@NorCal-refrigeration thank you i thought there is a rule of thumb or something :D
I’m the 300 like.
I got to get a hobby. I knew witch draw the 3 in 1 is kept 🤣😂
👍🤣🤣
Careful showing your keys on camera! I learned the other day there are locksmithing apps that can copy/cut keys based on simple pictures of the key.
