Hello Paula, it poked my heart watching Ian looking behind the picture for Doug, as if he felt that Doug was up there or something. I'm not sure if that's what he was doing but it felt like it was. Pink & red shawl will be stunning not made a shawl since lockdown when I knit 6 ( gift knits ) & I won’t be gift knitting again 😤
When you get oh that’s NICE 😤 I dislike ( nice ) it’s like they don’t know a better word I’m tempted to try colour work
So all knitting is for me 😳😂🤣 except I’m knitting 3 emotional chickens 1 mine 👍 & one each for granddaughters ( grown up girls )

A week is nothing in terms of holidays and my head is always buzzing with ideas and not enough hours for the creativity 😂

Ian is beautiful and he is probably missing Doug 🐾 We lost our Trixie after 18 years and I still look for her coming into the room.
I have never tried knitting socks but my Mum always said her brother was the best at turning a heel so this amused me as he never seemed like a person that could knit! I suppose in the 20’s and 30’s you needed something to do on the long winter nights when farming was done for the day!
Anyway great to find you Paula and I look forward to your next project and family chat x

I’m also from Norwich 👋 if you enjoyed knitting the baby cardigen you could sell them at craft fairs (along with your project bags), babies wear cardigans all year round 😄 I love going into Hobbycraft, but there’s a shop just outside of Norwich called sew simple (you’ve probably heard of it), they have yarn and loads of fabric..

Lovely to see a new video from you , I so enjoy all of them, it’s like such a nice visit with a sweet lady. The baby sweater turned out very pretty, “George’s “ too. No reason you can’t start baby knitting to put away for grand babies🥰, before you know it your kids and their friends will be having babies and you will be ready with sweet little gifts for them.

Mrs D,I never say a word, I sit here in the very corner of the corner watching, you keep me inspired and I’m about to at the age of 60 try knitting some socks! I just learned to knit properly and learned crochet a year ago. I’m a sewist, self taught when there was nothing but old 70s books from the library. They tell me those books are very fashionable theses days😂. Please do vlogs, please❤❤❤

I love knitting for charity, it’s very fulfilling ❤️ Right now I’m on a roll knitting fingerless mittens for a local charity. I know they also need socks, but I’ll leave the socks for some one else to knit 😂

Hi Paula, lovely to see you again. I made the Cosy Stripe blanket using the same yarns as you. Also, before i saw your last podcast, i started the Battenburg blanket using the Pixie Yarn leftovers from the cosy stripe blanket. BTW my favourite needles are Knitpro Symfonie, love the colours in the wood, and they are so smooth. Cant wait for your next podcast.

I'm making the MKAL circular shawl. There's lace almost from the beginning. I started mine with my lightest shade and the popping colour is the darkest shade I chose. All yarns from Blue Fern yarns
