I found a similar beat in the song "Av Vinterkald" aka "To a Frigid Luminary of the Night" by Branikald. However it's a traditional triplet blast beat, so it's a different touch. Very good stuff.
Yeah I think this beat was used on the second riff in Under a Funeral Moon... maybe not with opening the hi-hat, because cymbals on that album sound a bit distorted so you cant really make that out, but it sounds really simmilar... you can definitely hear the kick and snare following the ´´werewolf´´ blast beat... so maybe it should be called the Fenriz blast beat but whatever... it was probably used even sometimes before UaFM so doesn´t really matter but it´s nice that someone like Sablast noticed it...
Yeah, you're right. Sablast vide never went ridiculous or annoying even with the tutorial about crispy corn flakes...rather I believe that one was the nicest and funniest above all! Haul Zimorog from Sila mountains in Calabria, even if I go working in Tuscany between wine, meat and Appennini -sometimes I visit the Alps too. Amazing.
Yeah I noticed this beat also when listened debut album of SW several time. And if I remeber correctly there is no other black metal band which used this beat (maybe such bands exist but they are exceptions).
I mean its not complicated, some people do variations around blastbeats, propably you too during drum workout. Nice video tho and I'm looking forward to next black metal drums content, maybe some beats from war metal?
The most expensive part of your drum set are your pedals lol! That"s commitment right there. I have a pair of those pedals and i Fucking love them, Too bad i had to get them second hand from an ebay seller. I live in California so buying and getting them shipped here is almost impossible from the manufacturing company. Other than that those pedals in my opinion feel way better than axis or trick.
Your blastbeats look really stiff. You should try to get a proper technique going on, play more from the wrist and use the rebound of the snare and ride etc. There are plenty of good tutorials up on youtube considering that. Good progress anyhow!
Well, then educate him. He probably never heard a guitar being played live and thinks a keyboard's "electric guitar sound" can sound like a guitar. You clearly can hear the pick striking the strings so it can't be a keyboard. Take him to a live concert (of any band, doesn't have to be Warmaster), so he can clearly hear, what a guitar sounds like. You know, with the pick attack, different pickups and everything. Cheers buddy. :)
"Werewolf blast beat" has a nice ring to it!
Looks complicated!!
it's not complicated that much :p

Nice! Haven't seen or heard it before I think.
I remember first hearing it on under a funeral moon. its somehow more sinister than a straight blastbeat. horna like to add double bass to it.
Alot of powerviolence/Hardcore drummers do this while doing blast beats,
It reminds something from Under a funeral Moon...

Hey Zimorog ! Can you do a full cover of "Burning eyes of the werewolf" ? :DD

My brother thinks satanic warmwater does his riffs on a keyboard, can you imagine

Satanic Warmwater FTW
yyyyyyyyyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
So in compare with traditional blast beat, you just hit bass drum 2 times less frequent.
and don't forget the accent on hi-hat/ride
satanic warmaster is called werwolf lmao
Werewolf blast beat? Haha...ok. The band name sure is brutal but sadly not the song
