timothy bottoms as sonny crawford in the last picture was the heart and the soul of that film. his performance in that film effected me more than even james dean in east of eden and rebel.
Timothy was great in The Paper Chase. Off screen, my understanding is he was deeply into nature. Love his brothers, too. I thought James Dean was 24 when he died. His son Buckeye looks so much like him.
I just watched after years, the Paper Chase. He was so good in it. I think that he was just too much humble to be one of the "gang" to be nominated for his work. And i think that he is hurt because of that.
