David Attenborough one of the biggest hypocrites out there. Banging on about climate while jetting all over with private jets and multable HUGE propertys. DISGUSTING!!!!
Oh bugger!! You stole my thunder, although he's not the only one, of course. Much as he is fast becoming a national treasure Prof. Brian Cox has been around the world a few times sometimes, it seems, for only a few seconds of screen time.
"Multable", lol. You shouldn't use big words you've never seen written down before, otherwise you again prove the stereotype about right wing people being plank, hence why you fall for those ideas.
Attenborough has also said for 4 years now that he's not flying anywhere, because he hates flying, he also does not fly in private jets, you're just mixing in what you heard about Taylor Swift. You should get upset at real things, and not things you make up in your head. Maybe if you read books more in the past, you wouldn't be so angry and be able to spell words like multiple properly.

Watched his programmes back in the day and have to admit the photography was second to none but now Attenborough has lost my respect and the BBC lost my respect after the J.S. revelations. I still to this day can’t watch old clips of Top of the Pops in case he’s on it.😡

Has he ever been employed by anyone not called the BBC or BBC Studios? He probably did 2 years of National Service in the late 1940s or early '50s, but that was compulsory for healthy adult males.
Also I bet he has a bigger carbon footprint than anyone on the comments by a million miles.

Not only that, but the world gets to watch it for free. I recently got back Singapore and BBC programming is free there via the world service.

@Bazgren8843 It is a disgrace. I do not pay for a licence. I'm not being smug here, but I simply do not watch TV. I left home three years ago and have never had one. They turned up at my address and asked why. I told them I only watch UA-cam, Netflix and Amazon. They asked if they could come in. I said yes, if you come back with the police and a warrant. Not heard anything since then.

Saw some of his work when I had a TV, mainly for the kids, but as soon as the kids had flew the nest, gave up the tele and saved a small fortune in fees, then invested that money into my hobby. Best thing I've ever done. So for 40 years the bbc has been wanting of my hard earned cash, had loads of letters of them begging me to buy a licence, burnout thanks bbc i have much better things to spend my hard earned cash on.

David Attenborough has spent 70 years drawing money from the licence fee. Of course he likes the arrangement. However the world is now very different and the fee is an anachronism
The BBC, like the NHS, is stuck in the 1950s.
From the BBC Studios' website - "As the principal commercial arm of the BBC Group, BBC Studios - led by CEO Tom Fussell - is responsible for generating revenue and profits which are returned to the BBC to support the licence fee.". The same website also claims "The business [BBC Studios] receives no public funds.", so they obviously don't count licence fee payer's money from the licence fee, paid to them from the BBC, as 'public funds'.
So the BBC take licence fee revenue and then pay themselves (or the commercial branch of themselves) to produce the content. BBC Studios then returns revenue and profits to the BBC to support the licence fee.
Baring in mind that, because BBC Studios is a separate entity, they don't need to reveal their finances or what they charge the BBC for their services, doesn't this amount to some form of money laundering?
I've suspected for a few years that there's money laundering going on there. Although BBC Studios is a private corporation, its connection to a publicly-funded corporation should require it to make its accounts available for public scrutiny.

Back in the day, the license fee was actually of some value.
Back when it was quality over quantity. 24 hour and multiple, separate channels for so-called, 'lifestyle', choices, was the beginning of the end for TV. Now, the TV schedules are a vast wasteland of mediocrity, with more repeats of day-time TV quality shows on endless loops, interspersed with soaps and _totally_ impartial and unbiased, 'current affairs', programmes that _don't_ push a narrative at all.
Remember,at the end of those Sir David "look at me,going to places around the world so you don't have to"Attenborough,those "we had to overcome so much" ten minute segments at the end of each programme?....those special pieces of equipment that had to be designed and made especially for each programme because it was all "never been seen before"?...who paid for that? 🤔

How many of the old school BBC employees actually know the licence fee pays for virtually nothing these days? It's almost all BBC Studio's. Did Studio's actually pay a going rate for these shows they are selling back to the BBC or is it just swapping funds between peter and paul until the trail runs cold or people forget?

However David Attenborough and Clarkson are the only real great legends that have come out of the BBC and I can still watch their current shows without the BBC. Rowan Atkinson is mostly out there but their best show is OFAH. I am gutted I cannot access it. I don't care about Holly and am happy I don't hear from her much.

Surely Britbox could be easily repurposed for adverts or a tenner a month subscription with live BBC TV. They say they can't make a massive change of funding. It's already in situ, such a massive scam. Surely this money back and forth amongst BBC entities and charging the licence violates some sort of anti trust rules
Holly who? Never heard of her. We stopped Netflix a while back and just recently stopped Amazon Prime. Not missed at all. We just watch DVDs mainly, although husband likes the nauseating Bake off rubbish. Ahhh Willo the Wisp with Kenneth Williams. Nope. Lots of Ytube Watch With Mother programmes out there for nostalgia - FOC.

The BBC never made Button Moon, it was a Thames Television produced show, they more than likely have paid a licence fee to have it on Britbox (kinda ironic).

Don't let the truth get in the way of his rants. Britbox UK (now ITVX premium) is owned by ITV. Also, when repeats are run they are not free because residuals(royalties) have to be paid.
