I like how the nights in ASA are bright enough to make out what exactly you are looking at but dark enough that Dinos can still sneak up on you for a better immersion.

If I had to guess, the random slow downs/stops that the dinos do might be them running out of stamina.
That is correct. Dinos no longer have unlimited stamina when wild. When they run out they are slow for a moment. Flyers also run out of stamina and need to land before taking off again.

Syntac if you’re seeing this… you can use a torch to make troodons run away from u, if they take the fire dmg they won’t mess with you for a good bit!
Oh my god… I hate troodons… so for me this is one of the craziest changes to Ark 😂

Just a heads up, Syn. The moschops will run AT you now when scared or attacked, not away from you. Also the caves are LOADED with plants so tame a chops, head to a cave, hit right click and enjoy! (Btw Beetles automatically pick up crap now)

@@shermantripp5246 if that is implemented, whether it already is or will be, it will almost be hands down one of the best non-combat tames. Like I love dunkies, dung beetles, snails, and other such farming creatures, but an oviraptor that picks up eggs for you would be amazing
Also the second ring inside the lower south cave is smaller, don't tame a scorpion inside the cave. It won't fit coming out
oh wow i love the qol with the dung beetles, they did that in a mod called krakens better dinos and I honestly could not play without it
I like how when your tools are low durability, they get all dirty looking. Asa continues to surprise me with the most in-depth yet tiny QOL changes.

I'm guessing the bushes grow back in stages like they decay when you're harvesting them. Perhaps that's why you were only getting fibre from the ones around the hut. Maybe bushes only give berries when fully grown
No there are tiny patches of extra green grass that are hard to see and only give fiber and no berries
With 17k hours in the game in 7 years, you've devoted nearly 2 years of the past 7 years to Ark. Roughly 28% of your life over the last 7 years has been Ark. To throw into comparison, if you slept an average of 8 hours every single day, you'd spend 33% of your time sleeping. Ark and Sleeping have dominated 61% of your life over the last 7 years. Granted, a lot of that time was spent afk and also, Ark is how you make a living, you put similar time into it as most people put into their own jobs so it does add up, not including time you may have spent editing and reviewing footage over the years. I've been a fan of yours for something like 4-5 years now and greatly appreciate all the effort you've put in over the years! Even if I only get a 10th of the footage from A:SA that we did for A:SE, I'll be happy :) thank you for all the time and work you've spent and done

The tall grass drives me crazy, it’s beautiful, but I find myself feeling blind most of the time. There’s very few open spaces. Idk good for immersion maybe, might take getting used to.
I had to disable it, great for visuals but really annoying in the long term
I play first person and always random 3 times for character creation. Got a short character and the grass is unbearable. Cannot see a Dino 10 feet in front of me.
Whats the option to disable it btw?

Just turn it down in your video settings, put it to medium or even low.
It looks like all the wild dinos have a stamina cap. I noticed that the phiomia you killed in the first video ran out of stam as well.

I was so excited to buy a server to play on with my friends, until I found out that nitrado thinks $8 every 3 days is a reasonable price for a server. thats just not reasonable for the average person
Hey suntac if you right click a blueprint you can select track and it will show you a list of stuff you need to craft the item you want
The alpha creatures, At least the raptor and the carno from what I've seen, have unique models now. Love the vids!
I was wondering if it was just me. I could swear the alpha's legs, and feet were a bit chunkier. Claws looked longer, too. I thought it might be the lighting, so I'm glad to see I'm not the only person who picked up on that.
In my opinion they look fat almost, like they're too strong and eat too many dinos

The dodos sound different in ASA, the kinda remind me of the sounds my ferrets would make so I have to suggest the names Onyx and Pearl!
You need to look at NeddyTheNoodle and join him in stopping Nitrado from ruining the game. He made a video titled "I Am Utterly Disgusted By ARK: Survival Ascended"
I like how this game looks visually but the animations for the dinos still feel the same more or less.
Do you think they are going to make the animations seem more alive and realistic or do you think they will stay feeling like the current animations?
I would personally love for them to take the Monster Hunter route and make all dinos in ARK 2 have unique personalities and realistic animal like animations.
I hope they will remake some of the animations. I feel like they can keep working on it as they go!
When Syntac was fighting the alpha raptor it looked as if there was a sort of stalking animation missing, when she was going super slow. Would be great to see that type of thing coming to ark.
Well the issue with monster hunter animations is they feel to much like rubber if u get what I'm saying like there's no skeleton just fat and muscle

Unfortunately, someone else needs to buy wildcard or snail games for that to happen. They literally just ported the game into Unreal Engine 5 and barely optimized it, all the beutiful environments and textures are just some dude who made the map and UE5 magic. However, don't lose hope, Modders may pull through in a couple of months, depends on how popular the game gets.
The emotional highs and lows I experienced with that parasaur/baby parasaur/troodon part was just…wow. Annoyance, frustration, hilarity, and more while watching this freaking ADHD ass gameplay. I love it.
I cant wait to get to play this myself. It'll be so fun playing Ark again after years.

As a console player I also can’t wait, especially for mods like Ark Additions, and as for lag ASE was way worse at launch, and also had questionable server connectivity. Meanwhile ASA seems way more stable with connectivity and with time will improve with lag issues
Yeah I tried to run the game bought it I have a i7 9700k and a 2070 super 16gb ram and it crashed twice trying to load up single player fastest refund I’ve ever had

Well.. I just saw Syntac killed a mother in front of her baby, and then proceed to let the baby died an horrifying death.... QUALITY CONTENT RIGHT THERE!!
Did you notice that if you hold Q you can switch the items in the quick access (the ones on the numbers like 1, 2, 3, 4, etc.) so you can have more items without having to actually open the inventory, not sure if that made sense but try holding Q and then pressing 9 or 0, you'll understand what I mean

Mr.Magoo there, the mesopithicus, was always a challenge to tame. Being able to keep them in the East valley was a great win but a box is preferred. Sad that you lost your adopted Parasur. They go so fast sometimes.
At least you got to showcase the survivor respawn system and the death marker after your troodon fight.

Syntac you said you had 17000 hours in ASE.. over 7 years that means every year you had 2428 hours. That’s 6 hours and 39 minutes EVERY DAY you spent playing ark😂😂 crazy dedication man love your content

That alpha raptor proved to be a very formidable opponent. I honestly thought Syntac was gonna give up after dying to her twice but I guess that's when 3rd time's the charm came into play😊
I loved how he opted for trying to shoot her with 10 arrows at a time and trying to get more recourses in the process instead of farming for a bit and getting 50 or something and be fine just to make it more entertaining.
Another great video! I'll just repeat what I commented for episode one, you can right click on any crafting recipe or item and hit "track", and it'll keep track of how many items you can craft with what you currently have in your inventory. Saves you quite a bit of manually checking and calculating in your head!

The slow down I think is the new pathing ai thinking of how to get to you, they will optimize it so its thinks faster eventually. I'm not sure for servers but in single player you can pick up any undamaged/repaired structure anytime now like in S+, and water intake pipes are like tek generators for irrigation now.

It is a shame that we never got any 100 days on the other maps for ASE, but I am so happy that ASA is finally here. I can't wait to see the kind of content that you produce with ASA. Keep up with the the great videos man, you are the best.
Really appreciate you Syntac, but the exclusivity and issues with this game already, the astronomically high PC requirements and so on are pretty aggregious. A lot of fans are being left behind on this one. I think alot of folks would appreciate you using your voice to call attention to it. I know you like to keep things positive but many of us just dont get that luxury mate. Either way hope youre enjoying your fresh playthrough.
Exactly this. I have said this too, time and again with my main acc and commenting again with my mom's UA-cam account.... Ark didn't needed a graphical update rather a downgrade and smoothen out the existing bugs of the base game and it's dlcs

About the slow movement the alpha raptor had. I think it's when AI looking for path to you, so he's "scaning you", to get to you.

Wanted to add that bushes give fiber and berries but grasslands you can always harvest as they don't despawn and it only gives fiber when harvested. The area around your hut is considered grasslands.

At exactly 19:02 there's baby compys on the ground. They're so small and hard to see though! Just in the middle of the screen between the bag and the hotbar. You can see them move if you play in slowmode.
A part of their movement logic seems to be like, retreating and trying to refind the path, or slowing down likely to aid in pathing detection, which I think generally is a good thing but definitely can be a little weird sometimes

I totally agree. I did come across a video from a streamer I have never heard of, who actually said the graphics were horrible, performance was worse than ASE etc. and he didn't recommend ASA. Said it was not worth the price. I started to laugh at his comments because clearly he had no idea what he was talking about, as seen on Syntac, Evo and other well known Streamers videos. Sad thing is, there were comments from viewers believing and thanking him. Some will believe anything I guess ...
idk if u have seen water tap and intake but water is wireless now u place ur intake in the water and it has a range like a tek gen and as long as u place the tap in range it will have water
It would be better content if you would just take a few minutes and grind out resources to just make like 50 arrows. It wouldn't cost you much time and it wouldn't be a painful battle to watch.
I'm fairly certain wild dinos run out of stamina now, that's why they move so slow sometimes.

Hate to bring down the mood during this much anticipated release, but could you maybe make a video on the whole snailgames-nitrado situation with the monopoly on servers and restrictions on self hosted dedicated servers? You have enormous reach in the Ark community, and what they're doing really isn't okay if you ask me.
wdym? The entire reason this is happening is because Snail dropped the bag and needed a loan, which they took from Nitrado, who they already owed a lot of money to. If you want to give people shit, then give Snail Games shit. Nitrado is simply getting what they're owed.
It does suck that people cannot self-host a dedicated server, but I imagine that's simply the best way to ensure their agreement is met.

I tamed a Dilo parent and the baby WOULD NOT LET ME IMPRINT. Saw same thing with different dino on a different stream.
But every time I see a parent get killed, you can then tame the baby.

This episode reminds me of when Phlinger found an Alpha Megalodon trapped in shallow water on the first or second episode of a new season and got a huge level boost for killing it with a bunch of arrows. I think he got like 30 levels or something ridiculous.
