- • Mortal Kombat 1 - Towe... Mortal Kombat 1 is a fighting game developed by NetherRealm Studios and published by Warner Bros. Games. It is the twelfth main installment in the Mortal Kombat series, serving as both a sequel to Mortal Kombat 11 (2019) and the series' second reboot, following Mortal Kombat (2011). The game is set to be released for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S on September 19, 2023, with the premium edition having released on September 14.
Mortal Kombat 1 has been confirmed to feature a story mode, online multiplayer with rollback netcode, and offline gameplay. The game will introduce a feature called Kameo Fighters, which will provide assistance to the player during fights. These characters will be separate from the main roster, and chosen before each fight. Additionally, the Air Kombat combo system which was featured in both Mortal Kombat: Armageddon and the action spin-off Shaolin Monks returns, and is being refined for this game.
The base roster of Mortal Kombat 1 features 22 playable characters in the form of reimagined versions of past Mortal Kombat characters, including several who have not appeared since Mortal Kombat: Armageddon (2006). An additional character, Shang Tsung, was offered as a pre-order bonus. Six additional characters for post-launch release via the "Kombat Pack" downloadable content, which also includes a skin for Johnny Cage featuring the likeness and voice of Jean-Claude Van Damme.
Kameo Fighters are a unique roster of partner characters to assist during matches, creating expanded gameplay possibilities for players. The base game includes 15 kameo fighters, with an additional five planned as downloadable content. These characters are chosen separately from the main roster of fighters. Some characters can serve as both kameo fighters and main roster fighters. Guest characters can even serve as kameo fighters.

Quan Chi's ending is literally overestimating himself with finding power to defeat Liu Kang. And I don't like it.
At least Shang Tsung is following his own path by using resources that his previous self used, but more uniquely to his new character.
It's actually not impossible. Liu kang is not Invincible by any measure. Kronika was beaten by LITERALLY everyone. Liu kang won't be any different.
Also I don’t see how Quan Chi is overestimating himself, he himself says that he’s going to spend a lifetime practicing his dark arts, and go on a realm-searching journey to find the Hourglass.

These are very good endings, the creator put lots of work.

And characters may have reconstructed origins once again, like Hanzo Hasashi back to his adult form, and more, in a third reboot.
So, is Ermac back to being a villain, or is he going the anti-hero route?
For what I understood, he's going to be neutral since he didn't attack Kitana and Mileena, got betrayed by Quan Chi and Sindel helped Ermac.

Ermac isn’t a villain per se, he was created to serve, unfortunately those he serves are evil.

A lot of the souls in that body are pretty bad mofos
Jerrod and Sindel possibly a small amount some other unnamed souls seem to be the only ones who are actually good people
I predict about a third reboot of Mortal Kombat, the new and third way the universe restarts once again, is when the hourglass⌛⏳ shatters, which spells doom for the realms of the latest timeline, and Liu Kang have to do everything in his power to save it, and creates a new big bang, resetting everything again.
The last thing we need is another timeline reset for a good while
It like a ruler for example MKX and MK1 are the -1 & 1 of the ruler, MK11 is in the center, MK9 and Possibly MK2 being -2 & 2 of the reboot side of the rulers, and finally MKD to Original Mortal Kombat are the ones at the end of the ruler (Before the reboots) are originals timelines so possibly their reboot counterparts would be reverted back to the original timeline but the new original timeline

Well, all the endings in this game connects with each other, so maybe Ermacs ending comes after Sindels ending. Then Quan chi could be the final ending which could lead to a new arc or alliance with Titan Havik
