gosh dang it Joe, I really didn't hear it until you notched it in and out. Then I went back to the beginning and you're right...I cannot unhear it!

Joe, I found that the ceiling heat register in my studio was producing a very annoying metallic sound. Removing the register diffuser fixed the problem.

OMG I had this same problem for most of my mixes for the longest time!! Joe Gilder's Mastering course helped me identify this issue!! Thanks Joe

You're absolutely right! When you soloed that frequency, both my dogs looked up simultaneously at me a bit worried! Then they turned to the TV screen and gave you a mean look!
Merry Christmas from Jemma and Hoss dogs! 😂

😂Who needs EQ when you have man's best friends to give a mean look at your resonant audio?

Pro EQ3 is another awesome S-1 stock plug in. I wonder if that particular pair of hi-hat cymbals was the common denominator in your recordings with that ring. Thanks Joe!

Hi Joe, played solo it sounds to me like Santa is well early on his sleigh over your way. Obviously him being magic, you wouldn't have heard them at the time of recording. Hope this make sense.
Seriously always great to watch your videos and anything to do with studio one. 🤟

I think Joe Gilder alone is the best advertising of the entire presonus narrative

"Don't go boosting... all those frequencies..." sounds like there's a song lyric is in there somewhere.

Don't go boosting... all those frequencies
Please stick to the rivers and the lakes that you're used to
I know that you're gonna have it your way or nothing at all
But I think you're moving too fast
      😂

You can also use the same technique to remove unwanted, excessive audible pitch from snares as well.

It's crazy how I couldn't initially hear the whistle at the beginning of the video. After watching the video and going back to the beginning, it's so obvious.

It´s funny how i could not hear the ringing sound in start but after you made it obvious i could actually start hearing it when EQ was off lol

In my situation it was the mic boom resonating harmonics at certain high frequencies. I changed it out for a Rode boom that comes with pads covering the arms. Problem solved.

Maybe there's an object in the room that's resonating at that frequency. Maybe it's something you had with you in both rooms.

Actually I'm more bothered with the the boom in the low end. for sure easely taken care of in a recording situation but in a live sound scenario you will have serious problems!

Overheads are a battle for me. Those were some trashy sounding cymbals tho I must say, I would guess Sabian....just a guess.

Constructive interference? Any odd sources of sound can create a freaky peak like that.

TALK ABOUT HEARING FREQUENCIES, DEFINITELY SOUNDS LIKE YOUR VOICE IS PITCHED. IS THE VIDEO SLIGHLY SPED UP? IF SO, IS IT CRAZY THAT I KNOW WHAT YOUR ACTUAL VOICE TONE IS SUPPOSED TO SOUND LIKE LOL
