It's amazing how talented they are. Singing, playing guitar, while banging on a drum all at once-I've yet to see another band which can do that. All while playing an unbelievably-catchy, epic song that THEY themselves wrote, and greatly. Oh, and keeping in tune and in sync, at that, making crowds stomp jovially with the beat and having listeners at home close their eyes and sway side to side, souls themselves swirling and dancing to the music. Well done, Mumford and Sons. You are music gods.
cause if thats beautiful guitar work what does make simon neil and tom ward?..gods?..and do you want me to take you through every mumford song and their tunings? i happily will..
Graham Eisenhauer open tuning isnt a disgusting desease..its just makes the guitar ten times more easier to play and write guitar riffs with..and saying that only guitar gods play in drop D is a bit of a brave thing to say
Always remember we must repent of our sins (sin is transgression The Law Of Yahuah The Father in Heaven. The Law are The Books: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, & Deuteronomy). We must repent of our sins and Have Belief On Yahusha The Messiah. HE Died and Rose three days later so that we can be forgiven of our sins! Come to HIM🙂🙂🙂
It's empty in the valley of your heart The sun, it rises slowly as you walk Away from all the fears and all the faults you've left behind The harvest left no food for you to eat You cannibal, you meat-eater, you see But I have seen the same I know the shame in your defeat I will hold on hope and I won't let you choke On the noose around your neck And I'll find strength in pain And I will change my ways I'll know my name as it's called again 'Cause I have other things to fill my time You take what is yours and I'll take mine Now let me at the truth, which will refresh my broken mind So tie me to a post and block my ears I can see widows and orphans through my tears I know my call despite my faults and despite my growing fears But I will hold on hope and I won't let you choke On the noose around your neck And I'll find strength in pain And I will change my ways I'll know my name as it's called again So come out of your cave walking on your hands And see the world hanging upside down You can understand dependence when you know the maker's heart So make your siren's call and sing all you want I will not hear what you have to say 'Cause I need freedom now and I need to know how To live my life as it's meant to be And I will hold on hope and I won't let you choke On the noose around your neck And I'll find strength in pain And I will change my ways I'll know my name as it's called again
hmm this version is what made me fall in love with M&S a few months back, now that I relisten to it, the album and other live versions are actually much better! Such a great band. Check out their crazy interview with Mark Hoppus (A Different Spin) on youtube- hilarious!
This is the video that introduced me to Mumford & Sons. Big props to Winston for doing what he feels is right. That takes balls to walk away from all that money to protect his "sense of integrity."
Marcus Mumford entrega el alma en cada interpretación.El banyo de Winston Marshall es sin lugar a dudas el alma de Mumford & Sons. Larga vida a la música Inglesa.
@TheArtistKnownAsJake I think so too That's why they're so good. natural, and straightforward. Not like all the "polished, top 40 pop stars" raw talents
@TobiWeiermann10 They don't need audio improvement or electrical sounds because they're a rock/folk based band... you can't draw a line on whos a real muscian and who isn't, it's just vibrations in the air
@doomdeco Id say one of the greatest albums of our generation, folk or not. I listen to all sorts from Pink Flotd to Black label Society, and There isnt much better than Sigh No More. Cant listen to it enough.
it's not too hard to do what the lead singer is doing. the guitar is fairly simple, the drum beat just goes to the beat of the music (most guitarists tap their foot like this anyway, but he just added a bass pedal). that being said this is still an awesome band with awesome lyrics, awesome voice, etc.
Gotta respect a band that sounds this true live. No gimmiks.

Awwww look at Marcus back then. Still adorable and even more baby faced. But just as amazing live!
T
That banjo is what makes me keep listening to this song.
its perfection!
thank you 89.3!! one of the best broadcasts in the nation.
Winston is ROCKING those bermuda shorts :D
Amazing song, I just cant stop to replay again and again!!
Love this song it has the most beautiful guitar work, and anything Marcus plays or sings is perfection.
Parker Blackwood you do know he plays in open tuning
Jack Mackenzie you do know he doesn't... and why would it matter anyway?
cause if thats beautiful guitar work what does make simon neil and tom ward?..gods?..and do you want me to take you through every mumford song and their tunings? i happily will..
Jack Mackenzie DAE OPEN TUNING IS CANCER AND ONLY LE GEETAR GODS PLEY IN DROP DEE!!?
Graham Eisenhauer open tuning isnt a disgusting desease..its just makes the guitar ten times more easier to play and write guitar riffs with..and saying that only guitar gods play in drop D is a bit of a brave thing to say
He good at singing I really love his voice
And I'm proud to be a Minnesotan.. Where at least I know there's this.. (Singing the same tune as proud to be an american)
banjo is poppin with this version, love it Wynnie
God, I love Mumford. They're one of the few bands/artists left who actually seem to love what they do and have fun onstage.
what can u say. rlly this video is amazing. i would love to see them live

I always thought that he looks like Alec Baldwin
Jose Hernandez YES he does
It's empty in the valley of your heart
The sun, it rises slowly as you walk
Away from all the fears and all the faults you've left behind
The harvest left no food for you to eat
You cannibal, you meat-eater, you see
But I have seen the same I know the shame in your defeat
I will hold on hope and I won't let you choke
On the noose around your neck
And I'll find strength in pain
And I will change my ways
I'll know my name as it's called again
'Cause I have other things to fill my time
You take what is yours and I'll take mine
Now let me at the truth, which will refresh my broken mind
So tie me to a post and block my ears
I can see widows and orphans through my tears
I know my call despite my faults and despite my growing fears
But I will hold on hope and I won't let you choke
On the noose around your neck
And I'll find strength in pain
And I will change my ways
I'll know my name as it's called again
So come out of your cave walking on your hands
And see the world hanging upside down
You can understand dependence when you know the maker's heart
So make your siren's call and sing all you want
I will not hear what you have to say
'Cause I need freedom now and I need to know how
To live my life as it's meant to be
And I will hold on hope and I won't let you choke
On the noose around your neck
And I'll find strength in pain
And I will change my ways
I'll know my name as it's called again

Missing you banjoooo
really? i cant believe he does 4 different things at once. he is so crazy! guitar singing bass drum and tamborine? thats crazy
whoever dislikes this have been listening POP for all of his miserable life.
this is called MUSIC.
Neat sound, great vocal blend. Banjo works but sounds a little jerky. Which one is the daddy? I see the sons but I don't see no daddy!
20000 likes for the song and the musicianship but 2 dislikes for the singer's high-waters and the banjoist's daisy dukes
does he have another pedal that drums and tambourines simultaneously? or both seperate pedals?
You ask your self how can this song get any better then the banjo kicks in at 1:03 then comes in full force at 2:44
Watching this band play is gorgeous... they put so much into their music it can't help but be great.
@TheBoConcept i totally agree with you the studio version is amazing and this is in another league!!!!! :L
Anyone else think that they should just remove the dislike button for this video? It's pretty useless...
The lead singer looks like a young alec baldwin. Am I the only one who sees this?
damnit that banjo rythm is so addictive, ive had it stuck in my head for the past 4 days...
not to piss anyone off or start a flame war, but I like this better than the studio version.
wow ... these guys should be bigger than all the garbage #1 hits people think are good..
@watashiwamillo
just listen to that dude shred on the banjo. how is that not awesome??
I love the fretless acoustic bass especially becuase it sounds like an upright bass :D
@watashiwamillo
just listen to that dude shred on the banjo. how is that not awesome?
doesnt anyone else feel that the pace is just a bit to fast on their live performances?
Always a great fucking show when they play at Ed's(no name bar) in Winona, Minnesota.
The guy with the banjo has on some killer jean shorts... Seems fitting somehow...
i need hope right now good luck in life figure out who is close to u and love them
@KelseaRoxOutLoud Probably because his lyrics have a proper meaning most likely.
Dude. One well placed banjo is all a song needs to make it amazing.
Thumbs up for cut off jean shorts (jorts) and sleeveless flannels! So awesome.
the band must get some serious benefits from the exercise of playing that hard
I was at their NYC Webster Hall event! AMAZING!!! AWES
OME
!!!
@lovablelovelyme he's on the right side in the back you cant really see him
'YIP!' 1:03 is the secret code for 'play an awesome banjo solo right now'
@TobiWeiermann10 You should see Tool live, they are similar in that way.
WHAT HAPPENED TO THE CRAZY BANJO DUDE THAT I SAW AT THE GRAMMY'S???? :P
@TBellizSick he also has a tambourine on another pedal for his left foot
1:04 best part of song lol
@JG129 ya its from Minnesota (MPR stands for Minnesota Public Radio)
The two people who disliked this video are deaf and belong in a cave
kimball....you should have told me and gotten me tickets to the show
2:51 = some of the best musicality on UA-cam 8D
has anyone any informations about a new album of mumford and sons ?
Four if you count him singing. I consider the voice an instrument.
The one person who disliked this video must be a prize bell end!
@watashiwamillo
Because I believe them, and you probably do too.
I am a metaler from a young age, but nothing is more intense than these guys! I love them so much and they define what music is!!!!
Now, I’m just figuring out how to use internet lol
this band made me fall in love with the banjo
Just realized he was playing the bass drum too...fucking awesome
The one person who disliked this video must be a prize bell end!
@bmpsound4 There's enough good modern day music so stop whining.
A bunch of brits that play Americana folk music. So refreshing!
@TobiWeiermann10 Millions of bands fall under that discription.
if jesus were alive he would be listening to mumford and sons
I like the way the guy in the front move his shoulders at 1:10.
it's not too hard to do what the lead singer is doing. the guitar is fairly simple, the drum beat just goes to the beat of the music (most guitarists tap their foot like this anyway, but he just added a bass pedal).
that being said this is still an awesome band with awesome lyrics, awesome voice, etc.
@foosballer123 i didnt know alec baldwin was only 25 years old
@TheTwollocks THIER? What language are you speaking? American?
wish they would do a song with anthony green or dallas green
Mumford & Sons, Death Cab, and William Fitzsimmons. That's it
Everyone in the room bouncing slightly. It is unstoppable.
God, guitar+awesome voice+drum bass pedal=f*cking ownage.
The 17 people that dislike this are probably Scottish.
@robbybass11 This make me proud to be from Minnesota! :D
@watashiwamillo Because the rest of us aren't.
That accordion's mistake..
Ok, you've already said that..
