As I was walking out of Scream VI, I was eavesdropping on two brothers walking out of the theatre. The younger one looked at the older one and wholeheartedly said, “that was the best movie ever.” I remember thinking the same thing about the original movie. So nice to see.

We are so invested in these movies after all these years that we will nitpick and over analyze but you’re 100% right about it being glorious. I didn’t expect to be on the edge of my seat and gasping. Specially not with a 6th film in a franchise and i Just loved that for us. “Don’t tell me you didn’t know this day would come”.
I was absolutely terrified for Gale, I was really scared for her life! That attack was so brutal and visceral it felt like there was no hope for her. I don't think another Scream movie has ever made me feel like that about a character. I really thought she was dead when the paramedic felt for a pulse.
By far one of the most suspenseful & thrilling chapters in this amazing horror franchise. The original 4 hold a special place in my love for horror & this may be my favorite behind 1 & 2. 9/10 for me. Loved the opening, the brutality throughout and these new core characters have really grown on me
We just got out...and we were not disappointed. Sadly a portion of this was spoiled for me but it wasn't spoiled entirely. It was incredibly tense. Scream gives us again another solid entry.
I’ve been waiting all night and morning for this review! I went to the 3D fan event showing for it yesterday! Walked into a theater filled with people in full ghostface gear and hyped up. Looked around and thought to myself “I know how this plays out!” 😅 the movie was fantastic and the experience was awesome. Going to see it a few more times this weekend at least.

I'm really glad and really appreciate that they stuck to their guns with Sam as the new Sidney. I was worried after all the criticism of her character in 5 that they were gonna shove her character to the background but she really improved in this one and I'm so on board with the "core 4" leading the franchise

Watched it twice in one day! 3D and then 2D right after. 3D was a little distracting because of the visual distortion but thought it was cool seeing a scream film in 3D lol Chad and Mindy definitely had better writing here and I loved them for it. Especially Chad, definitely the heart of the film
I really enjoyed it. I did guess who the killer and/or killers were and their motive very early on which was a first for me. Otherwise I left everything I thought was missing from Scream 5 was here. Like character development, real chase scenes, and some actual scream score themes from the past. Probably my 3rd favorite behind 1 and 2. IT'S A SCREAM BABY!!!
VI is #2 on my List now. I love it! It had me on the edge of my seat and throughout the movie I had the butterflies going off in my stomach, I don't jump to movies but my heart was racing! Definitely gonna go see it again!
TBH, I thought the opening was a gag. Then it kept going and I started smiling and getting excited. I was pleasantly surprised they went in that direction.
I enjoyed this one a lot. As of right now I think I enjoyed part 5 a *bit* more, but I feel like that could easily change with a second viewing. (It could also have a great deal to do with the 10+ years we had to wait between parts 4 and 5) Got a very specific gripe involving the tone of the GF reveal, which could also easily change with another watch. And credit where credit is due, this is easily the most dangerous the series has felt in a very long time. (For as much as I enjoyed 5, it didn't take a lot of big swings. That's certainly not the case here.) Don't usually go with numerical scores, but in the spirit of Mike I'll give this one an 8.5 outta 10. Quite eager to hear the spoiler review, thanks as always for the content!
I saw it once earlier today with my channel partner and we both loved it. I'm actually walking back to the theater in the cold to go see it again so I can be more thorough when we talk about it lol
Thanks for hyping me up for this movie. At first I was reluctant after, Neve Campbell as Sidney Prescott chose not to return. However, watching your review, I am excited! Can’t wait to see it.
I saw it last night. It was awesome, super different style from the opening to the transitions to the dialogue and obviously atmosphere. It was a great sequel i put it maybe before 5&3 which are some of my favorites and way before 4. I cant even imagine what theyll do next for S7 🤓 and also i said it before i watched and will say it now even with more reason: Neve Campbell not being present is completely fine with me if she doesnt return again.
GET IT UP!! GET IT UP BABY!!!! I loved it! I’m still unsure about how I feel about parts of the movie, but overall it was AWESOME! The kills were so brutal, gory and creative, the movie was great! Also great review Mike!
Scream Vi is such an awesome addition to the franchise, from the opening scene till the very end. For me the movie explores the remaining survivors after 5 in a nice way. The New York setting created for some fun sequences and adds for me to the scariness of the movie. Ghostface didn’t disappoint.
I loved this movie, I caught myself giggling during the kills & super excited every time a really good scene was on. I haven’t been this excited while watching a movie in so long. & Ghostface was scary to me this time! I think it’s one of the best sequels. The only thing is I was hoping the reveal would be different but I’m hoping we’ll get that reveal in another movie 😆 I won’t give up on my hope hahah I’m glad you liked it!! The old Ghostface mask is my new favorite too 😬 I didn’t watch the trailer & I’m glad I didn’t because I went in blind & it exceeded my expectations! Also the Gale apartment scene was one of my favs, I’m glad they brought her back for that. I honestly didn’t even find myself missing Neve (sorry friend💀) lol
Saw it in 4D in the UK was amazing!! Like so so much fun with the entire seat moving with every stab or jump-scare, one of the best cinema experiences ever

Hi Mike! Super glad you enjoyed it so much! I’ve seen a lot of divisive reactions for it and I have to admit I don’t really get the backlash. Sure the movie has flaws but the highs are so highs that it completely overshadows and nitpicks I have in my opinion. Ghostface was the scariest they’ve ever been and the new legacy characters really got a chance to shine in this one while also incorporating fan favorites in such a great way, so I personally loved it!
I loved the kills, I really liked the movie, characters were great, not so high on rhe reveal...I guess I was expecting.....nit picking but...something better. But all in all...really good
Looking at Rotten tomatoes, IMDB, Letterboxd overall, the movie is getting great reviews. On letterboxd it's 2nd highest score in franchise currently. IMDB it's highest.
I basically agree with you on EVERY level!! Your excitement has been me all week. I’m a super scream fan and it didn’t disappoint, I was fucking tense at times! And yeah it was a ride!!

Saw it this afternoon and I loved it!!! It was so different from all of the other sequels. The first will always be the best in my opinion but this is the first time that a Scream sequel lived up to the original. At least it did for me.

Mike I’ll say this too, I liked Scream 6. But I also was very hoping they would be doing the original Scream 3 Stu untold story so I’ll be watching The Following season 1 at least to check out what was intended for Stu. Tara 👍🏻, Sam and Chad were both redeemed for the better. Gale’s apartment scene vibed so well with her character from the first two. But the writers doubling down on their “reveal” but just adding more lore to their original character. Was super weak sauce. I won’t pander to say I love it for their sake. I’ll just reminiscence on The Following season 1. And think of the story we never got. Hopefully you could do a review. Keep it up Gents!

I just got home from the movies and it was great in my opinion. Even if you didn’t find it scary, this movie was amazing at building up tension! I think the build up to the scares were great! 🎉
The movie wasn’t as good as it’s hyped up to be. Kills weren’t creative. GF was brutal but he/she just did a couple of stabbings. The body count should of been higher it’s NYC for crying out loud. Speaking of NYC , the city wasn’t used at all except for the subway scenes. Moments of tension were ruined by lame jokes ( Mindy ). The reveal was mid. A solid 6/10. Great effort but something was missing

As being someone who was initially disappointed with no Sidney, I’m inclined to agree with you here. The writers did her character a solid when explaining her absence. With Gale, they could have just shown her on the TV as a background thing. It would have been a cool cameo. There was another part (I think you’ll know what I’m talking about) where Sam was looking at the shrine. Little something something seen in the reflection that made me giddy like when I saw it in 5. 🤩
I was so excited about how it played out that I had to sit in my car a minute and process. Then I called a friend who is equally excited about the franchise because I had to release the valve a bit. I was ready to pop. 😂 This is in my #2 ranking.
Totally agree Mike I posted my review last night and I feel essentially the same way. Great movie really enjoyed it definitely some zigs instead of zags where I wanted it to and I know what you’re talking about when you refer to what you were hoping for and I was hoping for the same so kind of a bummer a little bit but I went 8/10 top 3 in the franchise.
The movie was shot in Montreal and I live there and I went in a theatre at 1 pm. It was so fkg good man. I'm a massive Scream fan and this one is by far the best since scream 2 in my opinion. I dont want to get into spoilers so I'll just say that I had such a good time
Really good movie, I'll wait till tomorrow for my full opinion but considering Scream 7 is a go, it gave me that Halloween vibe where the middle movie has its own "set" and I wouldn't know where it goes for the next film. I enjoyed it but can't say it was WAYY better than 5. Some downs, but for sure lots of ups!

I loved it - though the end bit when the culprit is all "YES I DID IT AND I'M GOING TO TALK ABOUT WHY I DID IT FOR THE NEXT TEN MINUTES!" was slightly annoying.
I gotta say it...Melissa Barrera was SO HOT in this movie...that long black hair, and perfect skin...overall i had a lot of fun with Scream 6, and can't wait for 7!!!
The scene with the ladder was ridiculous and so was the subway scene. They had something but decided to make it so unrealistic that all I could do is roll my eyes. Decent movie...6/10 Maybe. I'll watch a couple more times tho before my final decision

Saw it last night with my fiancé, and my dad wanted to join us sort of last minute! All 3 of us loved it!! I totally don't understand the few people who hate it, lol...I don't understand, lol. It was SO FUN! My fiancé and I went dressed as Billy and Sidney too, total blast!
@@steroe7965 Wow. Well to each his own. I was 14 when I saw the first Scream in the theater in 96 (it's my favorite film, of all films, tied only with Jurassic Park). Sidney and Billy are my favorite characters, I hate woke garbage and feminism, but I absolutely loved Scream 6 and didn't get a girl power or cringe vibe at all. How can you call Chad, or the others unlikable? I don't care much for Mindy, but I loved Chad, the sisters, and Sam's boyfriend, and Gale has always been a great character. There were strong male characters, so I didn't get a feminazi vibe. I'm with you on bringing back the 90's (I preach that on a regular basis), but I loved this movie. Can't please everyone though! Haters gonna hate, lol.

Sorry you didn't like it, that sucks you couldn't have fun with it! None of us found anyone cringe or lame. My only real beef is I thought the reveal was super weak/lame, but still found it entertaining. I understand how some people found Sam's character flat in Scream 5, but I thought she was great in this one. I'm an older sister (my little sister is much younger and smaller/weaker than me too, lol), I'm fiercely protective, so I was able to relate to Sam a lot in that sense. The first one will always be the best, but in my opinion Scream has done a pretty good job at keeping the quality over the course of 6 films, just look at other horror franchises and how craptastic THOSE sequels are.
@@steroe7965 Scream is my favorite of every genre too, tied ONLY with Jurassic Park, as that's the film that made me decide to be a professional artist (which I am to this day). I went into Scream 6 with very low expectations, so I was able to fully enjoy it. I have found even really solid movies will disappoint if you go in expecting them to do everything you want them to. Hereditary I actually hate with all of my heart, it was extremely well made and acted, but it showed way too much (I don't like seeing stuff with kids hurt/killed and families destroyed), and I hate films where evil wins. I'm a Christian and found it way too demonic, which is saying a lot as I am extremely open minded and almost nothing scares me (it didn't scare me, it offended me). I am a big horror movie fan and can handle anything (I have even worked in special FX, and was around life cast dead bodies every day for 6 months), but the entire film just feels completely evil/depraved. For newer horror films I loved Ready Or Not, Hush, It Follows, Smile was good but I hated the ending, Drag Me to Hell was good, I love The Ring...but my top 3 favorite horror movies are Scream, The Lost Boys, and Poltergeist. There's also a semi-recent movie that's not as well known called Splinter that was very good.

My two cents/opinion, is that you're drawn to it and also scared of it because we all have a soul/spirit, and this stuff is 100% REAL, so you're going to feel something whether you believe it's real or not. That demon picture you got, I remember hearing an interview where they stated Paimon is a real demon. You do you, not going to judge you or tell you how to live, but I wouldn't have that picture in my home if I were you. I'm not saying something WILL happen as a result, but it's opening a door for something to potentially come along and screw with you, or harm you or your family. My main question for atheists is, out of the millions/billions of people who have claimed to see or have a paranormal experience, are we ALL lying or delusional? I have had paranormal experiences since I was 3 years old, when I was a teenager, I saw what I believe to be a demon while wide awake brushing my teeth in the restroom, first in the mirror over my shoulder, and then still there when I turned around. I was not hallucinating, I was not even really sleepy, and I was not under the influence of any substances. Millions of people claim the same types of stories, and many even have multiple witnesses. Physicists are even becoming more and more convinced that other dimensions exist, I think it's only a matter of time before all of the atheists in the world will at least become agnostic. The paranormal and spiritual sides of our reality are just REALITY science hasn't caught up to, in my opinion. I understand why people turn away from Christianity, churches are often terrible and they aren't even studying deeply enough to explain or understand why inconsistencies exist in the bible (it has to do with gnostic scribes putting their gnostic views into the book)...for example hell is not "forever and ever", it's for an age, which you can deduce means it's a different amount of time depending on who goes/why they're there. That's only scratching the surface (I love Jesus and scripture, but I do not currently attend church...have yet to find a solid one!). That said, I would probably agree with most of the issues atheists have with scripture, where I would disagree is there is truth still there, you just have to identify where Gnosticism got in, and also carefully study the historical context. Anyways, back to movies, The Exorcist was okay, I wasn't blown away by it and it didn't really scare me (it actually made me laugh in a couple places where it wasn't meant to, LOL). I oddly find Poltergeist more scary, but I think it's because of the atmosphere, and just the idea of your own home not being safe, and something knowing what scares you. Sorry this was long, the paranormal is a topic I'm passionate about, haha! Have you seen The Rite? That's my favorite possession film.
As a casual scream fan I didn’t know what to expect and I thought this was the best one since the original. Gf was like Michael myers from Halloween kills, just brutal and really well done. Great movie
As one of very few who really hates Scream V, Scream VI blew me away! Top three in the franchise, for me-and I'm a longtime fan! Absolutely amazing in every conceivable way

I loved it. I wasn't a huge fan of ghost face motive. Some of the reveal could have been handled better. But overall it was great and top 3 in franchise for me.
LOVED IT MIKE !!! Im torn between this one and 5 being my second favorite Scream movie, behind the OG from 96 !! Small nit picks, here and there but a damn a good movie overall !!
Here are some things they missed putting in the movie. Making it a cult, and not a family of Ghostfaces. Not having the aged mask Ghostface be Stu and escape in the end. Not killing off Gale. Not killing one of the core four (Sam, Tara, Chad, and Mindy). Not having a cliffhanger (would of worked well with Gale's death). The movie should have been revenge for Vince's death. This would of made it his death at least meaningful in a way. Sam would be accused of all the murders in Scream 5, even Vince's. Stu infuriated, thinking that a Loomis could kill a Macher (technically Vince last name was Schnieder but he is still a Macher on his mothers side), travels to New York to personally kill Sam himself. Is the motive good enough? Well, Gale is also in New York, and Stu still has an unsettled score with her. That's 2 motives for Stu to go to New York. It also would of been symbolic with Scream 2's motive, revenge for Billy Loomis. Revenge for Loomis, and revenge for Macher/Schnieder.

And credit where credit is due, this is easily the most dangerous the series has felt in a very long time. (For as much as I enjoyed 5, it didn't take a lot of big swings. That's certainly not the case here.) Don't usually go with numerical scores, but in the spirit of Mike I'll give this one an 8.5 outta 10. I saw it last night. It was awesome, super different style from the opening to the transitions to the dialogue and obviously atmosphere. It was a great sequel i put it maybe before 5&3 which are some of my favorites and way before 4. I cant even imagine what theyll do next for S7 🤓 and also i said it before i watched and will say it now even with more reason: Neve Campbell not being present is completely fine with me if she doesnt return again.

Scream Vi is such an awesome addition to the franchise, from the opening scene till the very end.
For me the movie explores the remaining survivors after 5 in a nice way.
The New York setting created for some fun sequences and adds for me to the scariness of the movie.
Ghostface didn’t disappoint.
I loved this movie, I caught myself giggling during the kills & super excited every time a really good scene was on. I haven’t been this excited while watching a movie in so long. & Ghostface was scary to me this time! I think it’s one of the best sequels. The only thing is I was hoping the reveal would be different but I’m hoping we’ll get that reveal in another movie 😆 I won’t give up on my hope hahah I’m glad you liked it!! The old Ghostface mask is my new favorite too 😬 I didn’t watch the trailer & I’m glad I didn’t because I went in blind & it exceeded my expectations! Also the Gale apartment scene was one of my favs, I’m glad they brought her back for that. I honestly didn’t even find myself missing Neve (sorry friend💀) lol

I saw it in 5D. Just like 4D except the seats have knives in them and stab you each time someone on screen is stabbed.

Hi Mike! Super glad you enjoyed it so much! I’ve seen a lot of divisive reactions for it and I have to admit I don’t really get the backlash. Sure the movie has flaws but the highs are so highs that it completely overshadows and nitpicks I have in my opinion. Ghostface was the scariest they’ve ever been and the new legacy characters really got a chance to shine in this one while also incorporating fan favorites in such a great way, so I personally loved it!
I loved the kills, I really liked the movie, characters were great, not so high on rhe reveal...I guess I was expecting.....nit picking but...something better. But all in all...really good
Looking at Rotten tomatoes, IMDB, Letterboxd overall, the movie is getting great reviews. On letterboxd it's 2nd highest score in franchise currently. IMDB it's highest.

Saw it this afternoon and I loved it!!! It was so different from all of the other sequels. The first will always be the best in my opinion but this is the first time that a Scream sequel lived up to the original. At least it did for me.

Mike I’ll say this too, I liked Scream 6. But I also was very hoping they would be doing the original Scream 3 Stu untold story so I’ll be watching The Following season 1 at least to check out what was intended for Stu. Tara 👍🏻, Sam and Chad were both redeemed for the better. Gale’s apartment scene vibed so well with her character from the first two. But the writers doubling down on their “reveal” but just adding more lore to their original character. Was super weak sauce. I won’t pander to say I love it for their sake. I’ll just reminiscence on The Following season 1. And think of the story we never got. Hopefully you could do a review. Keep it up Gents!

I just got home from the movies and it was great in my opinion. Even if you didn’t find it scary, this movie was amazing at building up tension! I think the build up to the scares were great! 🎉
The movie wasn’t as good as it’s hyped up to be. Kills weren’t creative. GF was brutal but he/she just did a couple of stabbings. The body count should of been higher it’s NYC for crying out loud. Speaking of NYC , the city wasn’t used at all except for the subway scenes. Moments of tension were ruined by lame jokes ( Mindy ). The reveal was mid. A solid 6/10. Great effort but something was missing

As being someone who was initially disappointed with no Sidney, I’m inclined to agree with you here. The writers did her character a solid when explaining her absence. With Gale, they could have just shown her on the TV as a background thing. It would have been a cool cameo. There was another part (I think you’ll know what I’m talking about) where Sam was looking at the shrine. Little something something seen in the reflection that made me giddy like when I saw it in 5. 🤩
I was so excited about how it played out that I had to sit in my car a minute and process. Then I called a friend who is equally excited about the franchise because I had to release the valve a bit. I was ready to pop. 😂 This is in my #2 ranking.
Another Easter egg I noticed was in the reveal, Ethan pulls off Stu’s mask and then proceeds to “die” just like Stu.
Totally agree Mike I posted my review last night and I feel essentially the same way. Great movie really enjoyed it definitely some zigs instead of zags where I wanted it to and I know what you’re talking about when you refer to what you were hoping for and I was hoping for the same so kind of a bummer a little bit but I went 8/10 top 3 in the franchise.

The movie was shot in Montreal and I live there and I went in a theatre at 1 pm. It was so fkg good man. I'm a massive Scream fan and this one is by far the best since scream 2 in my opinion. I dont want to get into spoilers so I'll just say that I had such a good time

Really good movie, I'll wait till tomorrow for my full opinion but considering Scream 7 is a go, it gave me that Halloween vibe where the middle movie has its own "set" and I wouldn't know where it goes for the next film. I enjoyed it but can't say it was WAYY better than 5. Some downs, but for sure lots of ups!

I loved it - though the end bit when the culprit is all "YES I DID IT AND I'M GOING TO TALK ABOUT WHY I DID IT FOR THE NEXT TEN MINUTES!" was slightly annoying.

The scene with the ladder was ridiculous and so was the subway scene. They had something but decided to make it so unrealistic that all I could do is roll my eyes. Decent movie...6/10 Maybe. I'll watch a couple more times tho before my final decision

Saw it last night with my fiancé, and my dad wanted to join us sort of last minute! All 3 of us loved it!! I totally don't understand the few people who hate it, lol...I don't understand, lol. It was SO FUN! My fiancé and I went dressed as Billy and Sidney too, total blast!
@@steroe7965 Wow. Well to each his own. I was 14 when I saw the first Scream in the theater in 96 (it's my favorite film, of all films, tied only with Jurassic Park). Sidney and Billy are my favorite characters, I hate woke garbage and feminism, but I absolutely loved Scream 6 and didn't get a girl power or cringe vibe at all. How can you call Chad, or the others unlikable? I don't care much for Mindy, but I loved Chad, the sisters, and Sam's boyfriend, and Gale has always been a great character. There were strong male characters, so I didn't get a feminazi vibe. I'm with you on bringing back the 90's (I preach that on a regular basis), but I loved this movie. Can't please everyone though! Haters gonna hate, lol.

Sorry you didn't like it, that sucks you couldn't have fun with it! None of us found anyone cringe or lame. My only real beef is I thought the reveal was super weak/lame, but still found it entertaining. I understand how some people found Sam's character flat in Scream 5, but I thought she was great in this one. I'm an older sister (my little sister is much younger and smaller/weaker than me too, lol), I'm fiercely protective, so I was able to relate to Sam a lot in that sense. The first one will always be the best, but in my opinion Scream has done a pretty good job at keeping the quality over the course of 6 films, just look at other horror franchises and how craptastic THOSE sequels are.
@@steroe7965 Scream is my favorite of every genre too, tied ONLY with Jurassic Park, as that's the film that made me decide to be a professional artist (which I am to this day). I went into Scream 6 with very low expectations, so I was able to fully enjoy it. I have found even really solid movies will disappoint if you go in expecting them to do everything you want them to. Hereditary I actually hate with all of my heart, it was extremely well made and acted, but it showed way too much (I don't like seeing stuff with kids hurt/killed and families destroyed), and I hate films where evil wins. I'm a Christian and found it way too demonic, which is saying a lot as I am extremely open minded and almost nothing scares me (it didn't scare me, it offended me). I am a big horror movie fan and can handle anything (I have even worked in special FX, and was around life cast dead bodies every day for 6 months), but the entire film just feels completely evil/depraved. For newer horror films I loved Ready Or Not, Hush, It Follows, Smile was good but I hated the ending, Drag Me to Hell was good, I love The Ring...but my top 3 favorite horror movies are Scream, The Lost Boys, and Poltergeist. There's also a semi-recent movie that's not as well known called Splinter that was very good.

My two cents/opinion, is that you're drawn to it and also scared of it because we all have a soul/spirit, and this stuff is 100% REAL, so you're going to feel something whether you believe it's real or not. That demon picture you got, I remember hearing an interview where they stated Paimon is a real demon. You do you, not going to judge you or tell you how to live, but I wouldn't have that picture in my home if I were you. I'm not saying something WILL happen as a result, but it's opening a door for something to potentially come along and screw with you, or harm you or your family. My main question for atheists is, out of the millions/billions of people who have claimed to see or have a paranormal experience, are we ALL lying or delusional? I have had paranormal experiences since I was 3 years old, when I was a teenager, I saw what I believe to be a demon while wide awake brushing my teeth in the restroom, first in the mirror over my shoulder, and then still there when I turned around. I was not hallucinating, I was not even really sleepy, and I was not under the influence of any substances.
Millions of people claim the same types of stories, and many even have multiple witnesses. Physicists are even becoming more and more convinced that other dimensions exist, I think it's only a matter of time before all of the atheists in the world will at least become agnostic. The paranormal and spiritual sides of our reality are just REALITY science hasn't caught up to, in my opinion. I understand why people turn away from Christianity, churches are often terrible and they aren't even studying deeply enough to explain or understand why inconsistencies exist in the bible (it has to do with gnostic scribes putting their gnostic views into the book)...for example hell is not "forever and ever", it's for an age, which you can deduce means it's a different amount of time depending on who goes/why they're there. That's only scratching the surface (I love Jesus and scripture, but I do not currently attend church...have yet to find a solid one!).
That said, I would probably agree with most of the issues atheists have with scripture, where I would disagree is there is truth still there, you just have to identify where Gnosticism got in, and also carefully study the historical context. Anyways, back to movies, The Exorcist was okay, I wasn't blown away by it and it didn't really scare me (it actually made me laugh in a couple places where it wasn't meant to, LOL). I oddly find Poltergeist more scary, but I think it's because of the atmosphere, and just the idea of your own home not being safe, and something knowing what scares you. Sorry this was long, the paranormal is a topic I'm passionate about, haha! Have you seen The Rite? That's my favorite possession film.
Just got back from theater and yes it was enjoyable, love the way this one started it was so different and nicely done.
As a casual scream fan I didn’t know what to expect and I thought this was the best one since the original. Gf was like Michael myers from Halloween kills, just brutal and really well done. Great movie

I loved it. I wasn't a huge fan of ghost face motive. Some of the reveal could have been handled better. But overall it was great and top 3 in franchise for me.

Here are some things they missed putting in the movie.
Making it a cult, and not a family of Ghostfaces.
Not having the aged mask Ghostface be Stu and escape in the end.
Not killing off Gale.
Not killing one of the core four (Sam, Tara, Chad, and Mindy).
Not having a cliffhanger (would of worked well with Gale's death).
The movie should have been revenge for Vince's death. This would of made it his death at least meaningful in a way.
Sam would be accused of all the murders in Scream 5, even Vince's.
Stu infuriated, thinking that a Loomis could kill a Macher (technically Vince last name was Schnieder but he is still a Macher on his mothers side), travels to New York to personally kill Sam himself.
Is the motive good enough? Well, Gale is also in New York, and Stu still has an unsettled score with her. That's 2 motives for Stu to go to New York.
It also would of been symbolic with Scream 2's motive, revenge for Billy Loomis.
Revenge for Loomis, and revenge for Macher/Schnieder.
I've seen it three times already and none of them were today.. love it so much
