Thank you. Ford dealer wanted $250.00 to cut and program a new key and fob. I got both on Amazon for $15.00 plus $1.00 to cut the key at ace hardware. I programmed both in less than 10 mintues and saved $234.00.
Just did this on a 2005 F150 with manual windows and locks, worked like a charm. Done in less than a minute. Obviously didn't get the unlock door feedback on the doors since I don't have power locks, but I waited for the chimes to stop and turned the key off then back on to start and the truck started right up. My two other keys both still worked afterward as well. Great video tutorial.
If my buttons stop working on a key fob but I have both the keys present and the brand new one present will this work I keep hearing to program the new one you have to have the two original keys to the truck with you together other wise it won’t work and you have to take the one key you have to the Ford dealership and have them do the key for you
So would I just go to eBay or amazon and buy a key that is blank (without the remote) and then get it cut by a locksmith? Do I have to go to Ford for it??
In my experience, I bought a new key SA letter on the key because my old key got SA letter. And you have to have 2 programmed keys for duplicate the 3rd key. Make sure you have 2 programmed key.

Hello Mine is Ford Fusion 2012 se While programming two new key fobs, something went wrong probably I pressed other keys than the lock key. Anyway, now the original key works fine. but the problem is : the the light that indicates pairing mode is flashing every 2.5 seconds, if the original key is entered it stops flashing and can be turned on. BUT if the misprogrammed key is entered its flashing pace increases to ~ 3 times every second. The newly misprogrammed keys can lock/unlock doors but they will not open the trunk or turn the car on. I tried the following but neither worked 1- Discount the battery overnight 2- switching the original key on/off and Entering programming mode and let the car exit pairing mode by itself. Please help, is there a way that let me exit the pairing mode and/or reprogram the new misprogrammed keys?
GUYS/GALS you must have original master keys to program a new key. If you only have 1 key then you can't do this, it will need to be reprogrammed by a locksmith or a dealer.
Jch No, you can’t programing it, in my experience, You have to go Ford dealer and make a new program key, when you got 2 programmed keys you can following me to make the third or forth key as you want.

I tried this method and went through the complete procedure twice using two separate keys and a third key to program, but it did not work not sure why

Tried this on a 2005 Taurus, we had 2 programmed keys, the method actually Unprogrammed the 2nd key so we only have 1 now that works.

Wrong! The correct year to year is 2009 2014
To program the key fob is the same steps for the 04 he's good.
