OGX Shampoo Made My Hair Fall Out!

  • I used OGX Shampoo about a year ago and had adverse affects to it which included significant hair loss. I would see MANY strands of hair washing down the drain and it's very concerning! After shampooing, I would see perhaps 5-10 hairs in my hands and same on the floor washing away. Touch it again and 5-10 hairs more. You start to think, oh my gosh, am I sick? Turns out when I stopped using it, everything went back to normal and no more hair loss. Remember though, perhaps not everyone is allergic to the same substance so your experience might not be as bad as mine. Still, I would think a safe product would not cause ANYONE to lose hair when used but if you search around, this is pretty common and not just an isolated incident.
Some months later, I had a different situation happen after I ate too much gingerbread and lost some hair in the process. I cant take much more of this hair loss from products before I go bald! So I probably have to stay safe and a bit conservative in my product and food usage going forward.
Hope this helps some of you.

When I faced hairfall, I did all the following to effectively reduce it -
.. Incorporate hot oil scalp massages into your routine.
.. Don’t use very hot water when rinsing your hair.
.. Protect your hair from excessive sweat.
.. Use a wide-toothed neem wood comb to detangle wet hair.
.. Reduce your sugar and processed food consumption.
.. Use gentle hairfall control shampoo and hair oil like littleeextra cocconion.
.. Maintain a positive mindset for overall well being.

I started using this cocoonioon anti-hair fall shampoo and it's been impressive. It smells really nice and creates a rich lather, making my hair feel clean and fresh. Over time, I've noticed reduced hair fall and breakage, which is a great result. It smooths out frizz. It's now my go-to for maintaining stronger, healthier hair.

Thanks for making this video! I’ve been using this shampoo for 8 years, interchanged every once in a while with the purple type too. In the past year or two, but especially lathe last year my hair has fallen out like crazy! I have a bald patch forming and the crowns of my hair are soooo thin! I thought I had health issues but I’m so glad I found this information!

Always use silicon-free shampoo. And many brands of dark chocolate, including Godiva's and Lindt, have recently been found to contain high levels of toxic substances. After giving up on dark chocolate in the past month and a half, my mood and energy levels have improved a lot. It's never good to have too much of something, so I try to switch things up once in a while

Lead and cadmium being those toxic substances at high levels in a lot of big name dark chocolate makers. The reason those heavy metals are in the chocolate is because the cocoa plantations these companies are getting their cocoa supply from have the cocoa tress growing on volcanic soil that is abundant of those chemicals. There are few brands that reportedly do not have high levels of these heavy metals.

I have major hair loss from this product. Never before until I started using OGX. I knew Pantene had issues, but not this one. They use a certain chemical in the shampoo that when it mixes with water it turns into formaldehyde, and that what makes your hair fall out. The same with Pantene. I pray it comes back. It's all on the top and crown of my head. I never looked at how much hair was lost in the drain, but it was literally in the last month I noticed pink scalp. A lot of it. 😡😡😡

For guys, I highly recommend taking a look at Dr. Squatch's products. They're pretty much all natural, if not every ingredient, natural products. It's a little more money but I think all those chemicals on shampoos are not good for your hair. Also their soaps are really good too but keep them in the original box taped up until you're ready to use one as the smell can fade pretty quickly. The soap itself is still good regardless 👍
The soaps end up not being much more expensive as they last much longer than your average bar from Irish springs or dove

I’ve been using it only for a couple weeks and it’s dried my scalp out and made it itchy so I’d scratch and where the flakes were my skin was red and inflamed and then the flakes would reappear and it was causing thinning, I’m only 22 so that shouldn’t happen. Anyway I switched to head and shoulders tee tree shampoo for my scalp and an Aegean oil conditioner and I’ve started using rosemary oil where my scalp was inflamed and it’s starting to help.

I had a severe hairfall that lasted months this year. I wasn’t sure what was causing it. I had been diagnosed with thyroid disease, but it was treated and stable for a couple months already. My doctor told me hairloss is common with thyroid disease, and it should stop eventually. Thankfully the hairloss stopped after 4 months without doing anything different on my end!
So sometimes hairfall can be delayed months after the cause. And thyroid issues are a common culprit.

      @TheKarisean Рік тому

@@BeatTheBushMy thyroid issue is autoimmune (Graves disease). Not sure what caused it. I was 25 when diagnosed and it developed over a couple of months. My own immune system went crazy and started attacking my own thyroid. I think stress played a role, and eating too much seaweed as that can cause thyroid issues. Unfortunately it's chronic so it's something I'll be needing medication for the foreseeable future for.

@@BeatTheBush If you're 40 years or older you can likely control and avoid loss with minoxidil and finasteride if you eventually feel you're losing hair on an ongoing basis. Harder cases usually start when you're much younger around 20 something.

Perhaps due to all of your allergies, the shampoo was not working for you. That and they add (not sure on that particular one) crap (odd I know) that is unhealthy for your hair. That and you are not supposed to wash your hair too often anyway.
I was using an onion treatment (due to the sulphur among other things) every day for about three months due to my thinning hair. I was told I had baby hairs coming back, and they had said it may not start working for three to six months, but I had had enough. Messy, smelly and the smell does not go away. I had onion smell for weeks after.
They say Yao rice water treatment is good for hair as well and is less stinky. My problem is I believe it is pattern baldness and not simply thinning due to diet or health issues.
I generally use a body wash for my hair now, as the ingredients are few and more natural and cheap. I tried Mane and Tail, but it seemed to make my hair dryer and thinner. Apparently it and a lot of other "known products" have changed their ingredients over the years.
