- A 25 minute video explaining some techniques you can use to read, take notes, and write more effectively. It's not about speed reading and cutting corners, but being smart in what you read, how closely you read, how you read, what notes you take, and how you prepare for and plan your writing
10 years later, still very useful!
Thank you very much for this advice! It is really helpful!
Yay thanks Rachel I'm so glad you found it useful!
thank you! it's inspiring. I think I'll be strategic when I do another writing or reading
Thank you Sir.I got all the answers i have been seeking for, from your presentation.
Great tips. I am a current college student at a different school. I found these tips to be helpful. I often think that if I don't read everything in the text that I will miss something that the professor thinks is important for me to know. Like you said it is about working smarter and that is why I am here. I feel that I spend too much time reading an assigned chapter in a textbook that is a problem when you 2 or 3 more classes to do the same for. As a result of that I will rarely make notes of what I just read. Thank you for the video and hopefully more people get a chance to check it out.
Thanks JulV! Yes the FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) when reading is very real and common... but in some ways there is more risk of missing out (because you can cover fewer texts) if you read everything... and being a more strategic/active reader doesn't mean never reading everything, but being smart about when to do so!
This was such a useful video! Thank you very much!!
How awesome is this advice!! Pure genius. Cheers Nick
Sanity, at last... This is by far the most relevant video on productive note-taking.
