The seller who sold me a four-family house in Weehawken had to spend $298,000 to remove the oil tank and remove the contamination. The whole process took close to two years and had to dig 9' X 30' feet in length trench to remove the contamination. And to stabilize the building, the contractor had to underpin the structure and lay a new foundation. The sad thing is, she did not have insurance, and the State only paid a fraction.
Thanks so much. One of the houses I am thinking about buying has an underground Oil Tank. Thats hasn't been used in years. Im definitely gonna pass on this house!
@@SilvioLav I'm now under contract with another house. Guess what? After getting a Tank sweep, It turns out that this house also has an underground oil tank. Whats the company that removes it for $2000 ?
So that's great info on an in ground oil tank but how about an updated video on a removal of in basement one...like cost to remove company to remove how hard or easy it is...
