@AlbertBoris You wanna know something I find strange yet curious? If you take the upper path during Laps 1 and 3 of Bangkok Rush where the Sky Train Station is, if you look to your right (left in Mirror Mode), you can see cameos of 2 karts that either have yet to be in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, or may not be added into MK8DX at all. I'm talking about the Flame Flyer from Mario Kart Wii, and the Royale from Mario Kart DS. These 2 karts, along with the P-Wing, cameo'd in Bangkok Rush as part of advertistments for the "Mario Kart Motor Show"; and they are seen in huge posters located on the right side of the upper track where the Sky Train Station is (left side in mirror mode). With Flame Flyer and Royale having their cameos retained in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's version of Bangkok Rush, it makes me wish that additional vehicles could also get implemented in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. I would love to see Wild Wing, from Mario Kart Wii & my Favorite Mario Kart vehicle overall (tied with P-Wing), useable in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Maybe you & others like SwiftJar can touch upon such a topic in videos one day.
I think Singapore is good precisely because of its simplicity. I find London loop and Berlin byways to be so complex to the point that they're confusing and unfun to play on; I think they hit the perfect balance of complexity and simplicity with new york minute and sydney sprint, and I think this course is a return to that, which I'm thankful for.
Yeah, I still feel like Sydney Sprint is still the best of the tour cities, and London and berlin are by far the worst. I am still working through my thoughts on the new tour tracks, but I feel like Amsterdam is the weakest (to much stuff in the road segments), then Singapore then Bangkok (THE VIBES ARE ON POINT)
@@Roxleton I mostly mean how the layout is a bunch of intersecting streets with the actual route only being presented by the red arrows you can drive through. It doesn’t convey where you need to go that well at all, and makes it way more confusing than it needs to be.
Another fun fact about the Yoshi’s Island track is that the piranha plant that hangs from the tree branch before the water sections has the same sound effects as the original SNES game
I apologize if this video isn't quite on the same quality as my previous ones! I've been feeling a little ill the past few days so it was a bit harder to write a good script for these tracks! That said, what do you guys think of my ideas for the routes of Wave 4's City courses? Let me know down below!

@@TheOmniverse1 That's pretty interesting. I wonder if it means something for the future or if its just a fun Easter egg like Koopa Beach in the back of Sunshine Airport.
Apologise** Great video either way! And to be honest, I feel like your prediction was only superior on Amsterdam, the other tracks are pretty good as they are imho But I hope you feel better soon! God bless you :))
Hey buddy, for the record, Rock Rock Mountain is called Rock Rock Mountain. That is its rightful name and will be forever. Start using it or the entire state of Rhode Island might blow up. I don't have any reason for that. Just use the REAL name of the dang track!
I was playing Yoshi's Island for the first time, I hadn't even finished the race, and I thought "ok, this one is my favorite". Now Yoshi's Island is my favorite Mario Kart 8 track lol c'mon, it's a Yoshi track on a megalomaniac level never seen before, it's an ENTIRE ISLAND about Yoshi
I am so shocked. Singapore was my favorite from the wave and honestly one of my new favorite tracks. The music, the aesthetic, and the final lap! It all really sold me. I was actually really disappointed with Bangkok. I had such high hopes for it, but the graphics look plain to me and the routes don’t flow nicely into each other. Amsterdam was the dark horse. I didn’t expect to like it, but I found it so fun and charming.
I’d honestly rank Mario Circuit pretty highly on my own ranking of wave 4, and I have no clue why. Something about this track just really clicks with me, and I can’t put my finger on it. I think I’m just a fan of the more niche DS tracks, because I feel the exact same way about Shroom Ridge, my favourite track of wave 1
Nah I feel you as well, DS Mario Circuit works really well in MK8DX is probably because of it’s fairness of it being a fun frontrunning type track, while also being a great off-road shortcut like track mashed together?
Yes! Someone who loves Bangkok Rush as much as me! This track is so much fun, and an incredible time. The split paths, bustling Market vibe, the sky train, the light sunset, the awesome gliding section with fireworks in the sky, the boat section where it gets your adrenaline pumping for a fast race, the tricky turns, bouncing off the market stalls, the car park - I could go on and on for reasons I love this track. It was a favorite for me in tour, and it definetly did not disappoint. Also, Bangkok Rush is the best music in mariokart period.
I think what makes Yoshi’s island so special is that all previous yoshi themed courses are pretty mediocre at best and now we have this beautifully well made course that utilises fan service to an amazing degree
Great ranking Albert! I love your hot take on Singapore Speedway in particular. It's kind of a bummer that they didn't use the Peach Gardens method of opening up a hidden route on lap 3 and go in reverse, as that would've made the track more engaging :( Also the Inky Piranha Plants in Bangkok Rush would've been amazing
Here's my ranking for the 8 tracks in this wave: 8th: DS Mario Circuit 7th: GBA Riverside Park 6th: Tour Amsterdam Drift 5th: GCN Waluigi Stadium 4th: Tour Bangkok Rush 3rd: Yoshi's Island 2nd: Tour Singapore Speedway 1st: Wii DK Summit!!!
I agree with most of your opinions but I can't say I agree with you saying Singapore speedways towards the bottom of the list. Even though you do bring up some good points, I still think it might be one of the best city tracks behind Bangkok rush.
Literally agree with everything except Singapore Speedway it looks wayyy too cool, very great ranking video tho! All tracks look very great, I'll be able to play them soon hopefully! Can't wait to be able to rank them myself :]
I miss the Tuk Tuks and Inky Piranha Plants from Bangkok Rush and the sheep from Amsterdam drift, in my opinion those aspects would fix these tracks and make them probably the best cities in the Booster Course Pass But man they're so good alerady that I'd say they already are the best cities we have in the Booster Course Pass so far
Lap 2 for Singapore should've been been Singapore Speedway 2 + 3 (sharp left to the glider at the start, then after the 2 bridges, go left towards the soccer field glider, then the chinatown section to the final lap. Then Lap 3 should be Singapore Speedway 1R with the chinatown section for the end). Then it would've been top tier and also have a long lap 2, like Sydney.
I find this Wave quite nice, and definitely the best so far. Here's my ranking. 8. DS Mario Circuit It's nice, but I don't feel like I'm having much fun when I play this track online (on VS mode though, it's a bit better). 7. Yoshi's Island OKAY OKAY!!!! I like this track, it's nice, but like, I feel like it doesn't do enough, it looks stunning and has some nice gameplay elements but once you leave the underwater section the only good thing left is the second glider section with the alternate path, the rest is kinda eh... it's a great track though and may grow on me! 6. GBA Riverside Park I love this track so much despite its simplicity, the only reason is ranks here is its simplicity and just how great the wave is in general. 5. Tour Bangkok Rush I love this track, and typically it would rank higher, it's simply great, but it's only here simply because of some removals, like the inky piranha plants and stuff like that. 4. DK Snowboard Cross Great track, I love that they kept the gap cuts and all that, it's very nice and easy to play. Very janky track and I love that. 3. Tour Amsterdam Drift This one is just better than I could have predicted. I always have fun with this track and I think it's just simple but very deservingly praised. 2. Tour Singapore Speedway I don't care that Lap 2 is a little simple, I still love driving through the Chinatown and the hectic nature of Lap 3, it's all fantastic, add on with great visuals and music and it's a very solid city track, the best so far in 8 Deluxe (although I do prefer Bangkok, it had some removals that made it rank lower here, but would be higher or similar to Singapore on a typical ranking). 1. GCN Waluigi Stadium No Wario Colosseum? That makes me upset, but atleast this track is as fun as ever, extremely fresh, has anti-gravity, good music, and is just beautiful to look at! My favourite of Wave 4 but not the one I was most hyped for since I really wanted to play the cities.
They can't really incorporate driving through Peach's Castle in DS Mario Circuit considering Mario Kart 7's Mario Circuit already does that and makes going to the castle a significant part of the stage.
Hey Albert!! Love your vídeos so much, I was pretty excited to see your rankings on this wave! And I wanted to leave here my ranking too! As a person who never played any mario kart gane outside MK8, my ranking is a lot different, because any track that Nintendo bring back is a new and fresh experience to me! A here it go: 8. Riverside Park 7. Amsterdam Drift 6. Bangokok Rush 5. Mario Circuit 4. DK summit 3. Waluigi Stadium 2. Singapore Speedway 1. Yoshis Island The top 2 especially are so special for me, I had a smile side to side in my face when playing this courses! Keep up with the good videos! Love your content, and Im excited for whats next❤❤
Nintendo are starting to make these tracks feel awesome to play on. Wave 1 had a few weird tracks here and there, but now even simple tracks like GBA Riverside Park with not much decoration feels awesome in terms of gameplay. Not a single bad or mediocre track in this wave :)
@AlbertBoris Los Angeles Speedway & Vancouver Velocity now remain as the last City tracks in Mario Kart Tour yet to be added into Mario Kart 8 Deluxe via the Booster Course Pass. But I look forward to more City tracks coming in the future; taking place in new locations, mainly continents yet to have Mario Kart representation such as... - Africa (Either in Cairo, Egypt; or a savanna-centric area like Zimbabwe feature landmarks like Mt. Kilimanjaro & Victoria Falls) - Mexico (Cancun, with Mayan Temples; fan of "Legends of the Hidden Temple) - Central America and Latin America And most of all... - Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, South America; hopefully taking at nighttime during Carnaval, with memorable locations such as the city itself, Copacabana Beach, Corcovado, and the city's famous monuments. Why Rio de Janeiro, you may ask? 2 reasons regarding other franchises (with one reason involving the Mario franchise itself). 1.) The Rio Franchise by Blue Sky Studios, including the defunct Angry Birds Rio with Rovio. And 2.) Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games (enough said 😉).
okay great video but I could not disagree with you more. Singapore speedway at number 6? The track offers tons of fun and variety, with the glider into a shallow water section with goombas on floats, the chinatown having its own music, or those conveyor belts that are really fun to drift on. Not to mention its music, which might be one of my favourite remixes so far! Riverside park too is strange at number 8, since not only the track is one of the best-looking ones yet and doesn't have that plastic look, it also has so many things to like about it. The drift into a cave behind a waterfall, then going through the waterfall! Or the cool mechanic with the piranha plants walking around. This track also has really fun gameplay. But I do agree with you on mario circuit a bit. I love the sun rays coming through the trees, but I was very dissappointed about peach's castle too.
I totally agree, Yoshi's Island is by far my favorite track in this wave, I was really underwhelmed with Waluigi Stadium though, I was really excited to finally get a GCN track and the music just sounded very weird/different for me, especially the intro. The song is growing on me so hopefully I'll get used to it. Also the item boxes are in very weird spots and not enough boost panels on the ramps
Some people might feel the same as me but I get annoyed with tracks where it’s hard to collect coins and Waluigi Stadium is one of those tracks, but even worse is DK’s Snowboard Cross. I’m just a coin hater in general cause I’d rather focus on clean lines than having to collect something while I’m racing.
@AlbertBoris Hey, whenever you do a Character Predictions video for what could be the 5 Mystery Characters being implemented into Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, or at least plan on doing one, I have a piece of advice for everyone, especially video creators & character predictors, to keep in mind. Keep in mind that with Mario Kart Tour tracks being added over to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe... Mario Kart Tour technically does count as a "Past Mario Game". So Tour characters, such as Pauline, would also technically do count as "Characters from Past Mario Kart games" and "Returning Characters from the Mario Kart series". So in my opinion, Tour characters have just as much of a chance to be added into Mario Kart 8 Deluxe as characters from other Mario Kart games. And as GameXplain said it best during their New York Minute comparison video, "We really wish Pauline were here..." And so do I.
Our are almost polar opposites lmao. This is how I rank them. 1. Yoshis Island 2. Wii DK Summit 3. Tour Singapore Speedway 4. DS Mario Circuit 5. GCN Waluigi Stadium 6. Tour Amsterdam Drift 7. GBA Riverside Park 8. Tour Bangkok Rush Goes to show how great this wave is. I didn’t think any track was terrible. Bangkok for me is still a little iffy but it’ll probably grow on me
8: Riverside Park 7: Mario Circuit 6: Amsterdam Drift 5: Waluigi Stadium 4: Bangkok Rush 3: DK's Snowboard Cross 2: Singapore Speedway 1: Yoshi's Island Here is my ranking of all city tracks. 9: Paris Promenade 8: Tokyo Blur 7: New York Minute 6: Amsterdam Drift 5: London Loop 4: Bangkok Rush 3: Sydney Sprint 2: Berlin Byways 1: Singapore Speedway
I played the new wave with my sister she said she didn’t like Bangkok rush and Singapore speedway as she says they are not fitting music for the setting. I disagree honestly.
Before I share my ranking, I'd like to mention how I rank those tracks. I don't really care how much missed potential there is, how good these tracks are in comparison to their original (almost all of the Booster Course Pass tracks are new to me anyways), the graphics or the soundtrack (I mostly play without actually listening to the music). I base how good or bad a track is almost completly of of how much fun I have driving them. But I won't get into more detail about why the tracks are ranked like this. Would take to long. My ranking for Wave 4 for is 1. Singapore Speedway 2. Yoshi’s Island 3. Bangkok Rush 4. Mario Curcuit 5. DK Summit 6. Waluigi Stadium 7. Amsterdam Drift 8. Riverside Park
I personally think this is the best wave so far exactly because it's the most consistent one, other ones (even Wave 3 which is still my favorite because of certain tracks in it, too) had more notable lows while having big highs that this one still has (Yoshi's Island in particular, undoubtedly my favorite track of this wave, one of the best ones of the Booster Course Pass and even of 8 Deluxe as a whole)!
I swear if he calls dk summit dk snowboard cross. Edit: 8:33 Omg he did call it that hideous name and he also put it in fifth place omg this dude is a terrible ranker. We must declare war.
Would Lakeside Park have been the better choice for Tour/8 Deluxe? Yes, but I highly doubt they’d be willing to ever add it because it would be “too hard for Tour”
My only downside of this wave is that, even if every course is incredible, they did Bangkok Rush dirty. This course used to be my favorite tour city track. Until the BCP drained all the color and made the music worse. The missed potential of the only piranha plants went away and I dislike the changes. My rankings are: 1: Riverside Park 2: Yoshi’s Island 3: Singapore Speedway 4: Amsterdam Drift 5: Waluigi Stadium 6: DK Summit 7: Mario Circuit 8: Bangkok Rush
Honestly, playing all of the 8 tracks in Wave 4 definitely felt good. For Amsterdam Drift, I was definitely impressed by it, it felt the least rushed, though it was the most laid back for notable reasons, and I did actually like it as much as Sydney Sprint and Berlin Byways. Riverside Park definitely had the best graphics, but was still rather short, it worked well in the end though, and not all tracks need a glider ramp! DK Summit, or DK’s Snowboard Cross in Britain, definitely works well as a third track in the first cup, if I had to say this, it is the only retro from Wii to not appear in Mario Kart 7, as the first three Wii tracks in the Pass were also retros in 7, along with Koopa Cape, which we are likely to see in Wave 5. I still enjoy the track a lot! Yoshi’s Island was to be expected, but you know what, the fan-service definitely payed off really well, especially the unique goal theme! Bangkok Rush unfortunately for me, could have been better, adding the Inky Piranha Plants underneath the railway section, and the stationary Tuk-Tuks in the town section, I even wanted to say it was the worst in Wave 4, but it’s not as bad as several tracks in the first 2 waves, thankfully, it just could have had several fixes to make it better, then I’d call it improved. DS Mario Circuit definitely suffered from the weakest graphics, though they definitely hold up better than Wave 1 by a long shot, and I have a soft spot for it, even with its simplicity, like a calm before the storm, which applied to the final 2 tracks! Waluigi Stadium to me, may be one of my favourites, and I enjoy all versions of the track, though it took a while before it appeared in Tour. Even though the signs were gone, I still like the track! And Singapore Speedway, I actually did think it was still a very good track, however, both it, and the other 2 tracks could have had some route changes, to make them better than they are, I still loved the vibe from Singapore, while not as adventurous as 3DS Rainbow Road, I still enjoyed it, and the final lap is definitely brilliant for what it is! I’m hoping we get Wave 5 released very soon, with a teaser now available, who knows what we’ll see?
I think a “school” track would be nice. You know, we would be racing through hallways, cafeterias and In the school gym. If it does happen (highly chances it won’t) I think on the 3rd lap, the school bell should ring and all the student which will be koopa’s and shy guy’s will rush out of the classrooms and you must avoid them like obstacles
Here is my ranking of all BCP Wave 4 Tracks B-Tier 8. GBA Riverside Park 7. DS Mario Circuit A-Tier 6. Tour Amsterdam Drift 5. Tour Bangkok Rush 4. Tour Singapore Speedway 3. Wii DK’s Snowboard Cross S-Tier 2. GCN Waluigi Stadium 1. Yoshi’s Island
imo they removed the booster pads at the last jump of waluigi stadium in order to encourage you to take the glider section if you want to feel like a boss.
@@luking4music363 they are both plain and simple non-BS fun! that's all i really want out of a mario kart track but i get that other people have different priorities, which may make my rankings seem completely outrageous to you lol
I personally think Singapore Speedway works as an “interesting for a mushroom cup track” track, like Moo Moo Meadows or Koopa Troopa Beach, but with a more climactic atmosphere Putting it in say, wave 5 or 6, definitely would’ve been underwhelming with its relatively simple layout, though
I have almost the same ranking. I would just switch around Mario Circuit and Riverside Park and also bring Singapore Speedway up to 3(it's honestly my second favorite city track). Oh, by the way, I thought of how battle courses would be implemented in the Booster Course pass if Waves 5 and 6 add them. Well, not with nitros, but I've got an idea with retros! Care for me to share?
I expected DS Mario Circuit or Amsterdam Drift to be the weak links of this wave but for me its Singapore Speedway. Not bad in any way but I just don't see the hype around it. This wave was great and had no duds imo. And is it just me or does DS Mario Circuit give off Super Mario 3D World vibes in terms of graphics.
Wave 4 is definitely my favorite wave so far! I agree there's some missed potential with the tracks (*cough cough* Bangkok) but on the whole this is definitely my favorite wave, since all of the tracks are good and its peaks are higher than wave 3 imo. As for my ranking: 8) Tour Bangkok Rush - Probably the biggest glow down of the wave, especially the music. What the hell happened with the music??? It was my favorite song in Tour but here it just feels so off, as do the colors. Removing all the Inky Piranha Plants definitely doesn't help. (I promise I still think this track is good I'm just livid about how dirty it was done compared to Tour lol). 7) DS Mario Circuit - Sorry Albert Boris but I've still not become a DS Mario Circuit enjoyer. I 100% expected this to be last place since I do not like this track in DS, but the addition of the Wiggler, forest, and height changes, plus the Bangkok Rush remake sucking pushed it up a spot. 6) GBA Riverside Park - This was one of my most hyped tracks going into this wave because I loved the graphics and the addition of the Ptooies were nice, though I kinda expected it to be in around this spot on the list lol (if anything I thought it would be lower but then Bangkok Rush got done dirty). It's still a Mushroom Cup course after all, but it's one of my favorite Mushroom Cup courses, and I really liked the remake, even if it did the same thing as Sky Garden and cut a whole section out of the track. 5) Tour Singapore Speedway - Wasn't my favorite track in Tour (it was still good but didn't really stand out to me) but I really liked the remake! The music got a MASSIVE glow up (take notes Bangkok Rush) and the graphics were excellent! Was strange to see it as the final track of a cup since it didn't really give off those vibes at first, but I think it works. 4) Tour Amsterdam Drift - This is one of my favorite tracks from Tour and I was really excited to see its remake here! Dragged down slightly by the meh song remake, the worst graphics of the wave (even more than DS Mario Circuit), and the second lap being kinda boring (just as in Tour), but at the end of the day it's still Amsterdam Drift, so overall it's still really good. 3) Tour Yoshi's Island - The vibes on this track were immaculate; it reminded me a lot of Hyrule Circuit and Animal Crossing with all of the texture and music changes to match the game, except here the track itself is actually good too! One of my new favorite Tour tracks for sure. 2) Wii DK Summit - Do I even need to elaborate? It's DK Summit lol. 1) GCN Waluigi Stadium - This track absolutely blew me away with its remake! The most gorgeous track of the wave by far, the music was excellent, and the additions to the track were really fun! May be my favorite track of the DLC.
DS Mario Circuit probably doesn’t go through Peach’s Castle because it might feel redundant with 3DS Mario Circuit already doing that (specifically in Tour though, since, well, 3DS Mario Circuit isn’t in 8 Deluxe)
Man oh man the boomerang cup was amazing Bangkok rush was ok but the other 3 they definitely did great Mario circuit(DS), Waluigi stadium(GCN), and Singapore speedway(Tour). Riverside park(GBA) was great because I won 1st playing online so it still regardless a kick a** track
I'm conflicted on the city tracks. They're really obnoxious for casual players, which is something Mario Kart 8 has always desired to cater to. The only way to see some of the sharp turns coming is to check the minimap, which is useless because it's just one big maze. Otherwise, you have to boot up time trials, bump into a curb or a wall, say "How was I supposed to know to go that way?", and keep grinding attempts. I think it's great we have city tracks with more ambitious layouts and refreshing aesthetics and details, and since I'm not a casual player, I do like how obnoxious the city tracks are, but I feel like there's still a bit of an issue with how they're being executed. The best solution I've heard of is the minimap highlighting the route for each lap as you progress. It might be an interesting topic for a video tbh
I don't even know if the Piranha Plants on Mario Circuit in Mario Kart DS originally spat fireballs. I only played Mario Kart DS once on a friend's Nintendo DS back then. And regarding Waluigi Stadium from Mario Kart Double Dash, I'm glad they brought back this course, but I don't like the remixed music all that much. And the fact that they removed some of the spinning firebars and the gigantic, Piranha Plant-shaped obstacles in that one section of the course.
I had the opposite problem. Singapore Speedway impressed me the most while Amsterdam disappointed me. I think it has to do with each lap being more laid back than the last. If Lap 3 was the first and Lap 1 was the third, the track would have been more enjoyable. I agree that Bangkok Rush was really cool, though.
We agree on pretty much everything but I’d swap Bangkok with Singapore and this is coming from someone who thought Singapore was overrated in MKT and Bangkok was the best city in that game. I think you’re judging Singapore for what could’ve been instead of what it is (all the three cities in fact), while I agree that lap 1 and 2 are short in comparison with 3 that comes with the “Sydney Sprint treatment”, Sydney lap 2 is massive compared with 1 and 3. I think if Singapore went the route you suggested,it would’ve received the “Tokyo treatment” instead and it wouldn’t have felt like a grand adventure, much less deserving a spot to finish a cup. Besides Singapore has this atmosphere with its vibrant colors, hype music and overall the track flows very well, it surprised me. On the other hand I think Bangkok didn’t flow that well but I can’t pinpoint why and I didn’t like that its more unique obstacle, the inky piranha plants, were removed; no other track had something like it and it made the lower route feel a little barren imo. It’s still a great city track, better than the ones from previous waves but I think it became wave 4 weakest city. To end this looong comment: I really liked your appreciation for Amsterdam Drift, it was underrated in MKT and even now in MK8DX it is being underrated but as you’ve said its variety is pretty much unmatched by most city tracks
FINALLY someone else took the words out of my mouth that Singapore Speedway feels like wasted potential and the visuals only hide its weak track design Personally my ranking is 8. Riverside Park 7. Singapore Speedway 6. Mario Circuit 5. Amsterdam Drift 4. DK Summit (Also a fun fact if you drive through the thick snow your screen gets frost on it) 3. Bangkok Rush 2. Waluigi Stadium 1. Yoshi's Island
In my opinion, both GCN Waluigi Stadium and Wii DK Summit suffer from the same issue that Wii Coconut Mall has which is the music. I dont know how but the music for these tracks feels as if there is something missing and it just make the track feel off
Honestly, this is one of those Waves where I honestly didn't find any track to be awful. While some are definitely less replayable than others, all of them are amazing in their own ways, whether it be how they look, the track itself and so on. It is however undeniable that Yoshi Island is the best track in this DLC and possibly the game.
I don't agree with your rating, I rhink sibgapore speedaway is the best track in the wave and one of the best in the DLC. It is high paced with satusfying turns, cool glider sections and amazing view of the city. My rating will be 8. Riverside park 7.Amsterdam drift 6. Mario circuit 5.Bangkok rush 4.waluihi stadium 3.dk summit 2.Yoshi's island 1. Singapore speedaway
Your ranking is pretty similar to how I’d ranked the wave 4 courses? The only differences is that I put DS Mario Circuit as my number 2 course, meanwhile swapping Yoshi’s Island and Amsterdam Drift as well. It looks like this; 1. Amsterdam Drift 2. Mario Circuit 3. Bangkok Rush 4. Yoshi’s Island 5. Waluigi Stadium 6. DK’s Snowboard Cross/Summit 7. Singapore Speedway 8. Riverside Park
My rankings: 8. Tour Amsterdam Drift 7. DS Mario Circuit 6. GBA Riverside Park 5. Tour Bangkok Rush 4. Tour Singapore Speedway 3. Yoshi's Island 2. GCN Waluigi Stadium 1. Wii DK Summit
I don’t want to be that guy but even though I like DS Mario Circuit’s glow up compared to its original version, it still didn’t feel like it should’ve come to the BCP let alone be the last DS track. It definitely could’ve been better if the second lap had the backwards route like you said but I didn’t honestly expect Nintendo to do it so it’s partly why I had a massive distaste in it coming back over something else from DS. Even though I said it would be better with a new backwards route I also don’t really like the idea of adding mandatory route changes to retro tracks because I feel like they’d be really really forced which is what I felt with with Peach Gardens although I’ll let it slide because I didn’t like that track either and it actually made it somewhat more interesting. Really only Kalimari Desert did a changed route right because it actually changed the gameplay significantly enough to make it even more fun than what the original version ever had but tbh that’s the only retro track that could do it right and right now I also don’t think we’ll see any retro tracks have route changes in both Wave 5 and 6 which I hope stays that way.
Hi, i completle agree with your Ranking, except maybe i would swap Nr. 1 and 2, nr. 1 is great, i wish i would be longer maybe change somthing in the last lap, maybe open a portal to bowsers castel for the final lap or something like that.
Yoshi’s Island looks cool and the atmosphere is incredible but it is too tight for 200cc. They clearly didn’t playtest it on 200cc but it’s still amazing
I like every track in this one except Amsterdam, that track is just so ugly and janky to me it’s harder to enjoy (though there are worse tracks in the game and even the booster pass). Singapore Speedway has quickly become my favourite.
By the way, DK Summit and Waluigi Stadium are maybe ruined by one thing; the camera zooms in way too close during races. Like, pull it back, Lakitu! I can’t see where I’m going!
My ranking is 8 DS Mario Circuit 7 GBA Riverside Park 6 TOUR Singapore Speedway 5 TOUR Amsterdam Drift 4 Wii DK's Snowboard Cross 3 GCN Waluigi Stadium 2 TOUR Bangkok Rush 1 Yoshi's Island
What I dislike the most about Singapore is it doesn't feel like a last track of a wave and it's aesthetic is full blown ADHD with nothing flowing together well it just seems randomly put together
What do you use to record your gameplay? I ask because I’ve just been using the capture button and combining. I’m not sure what to do if i want to make longer format videos
Oh boy, another (possibly) retained foreshadowing of new content from Tour like Vanilla Lake and Dino Dino Jungle
Di.. di… did he say DK summit is it’s ALTERNATIVR NAME???
@@jomaq9233got bad news for ya it wasn't dino dino jungle and vanilla lake 2 go cry abt it
I think Singapore is good precisely because of its simplicity.
London loop isnt complex, it just has a more interesting and harder layout. Berlin is kinnda a pain to play on tho, but i wouldnt call it the worst.
@@Roxleton I mostly mean how the layout is a bunch of intersecting streets with the actual route only being presented by the red arrows you can drive through. It doesn’t convey where you need to go that well at all, and makes it way more confusing than it needs to be.
"possibly the most epic gliding section in all of Mario Kart history"
Maka Wuhu: "am I a joke to you?"
That's why I only said possibly lol
Another fun fact about the Yoshi’s Island track is that the piranha plant that hangs from the tree branch before the water sections has the same sound effects as the original SNES game
I apologize if this video isn't quite on the same quality as my previous ones! I've been feeling a little ill the past few days so it was a bit harder to write a good script for these tracks! That said, what do you guys think of my ideas for the routes of Wave 4's City courses? Let me know down below!
@@TheOmniverse1 That's pretty interesting. I wonder if it means something for the future or if its just a fun Easter egg like Koopa Beach in the back of Sunshine Airport.
Apologise**
Great video either way! And to be honest, I feel like your prediction was only superior on Amsterdam, the other tracks are pretty good as they are imho
But I hope you feel better soon! God bless you :))
Don’t worry about it, this was a great video either way!
Now Yoshi's Island is my favorite Mario Kart 8 track lol
c'mon, it's a Yoshi track on a megalomaniac level never seen before, it's an ENTIRE ISLAND about Yoshi
DK Summit is so faithful to the point where it's just as janky as the original. I LOVE IT.
The part when you're bouncing on the tents Bankok Rush was honestly insanely hype as someone who hasn't played tour
Kok bounce
I am so shocked. Singapore was my favorite from the wave and honestly one of my new favorite tracks. The music, the aesthetic, and the final lap! It all really sold me. I was actually really disappointed with Bangkok. I had such high hopes for it, but the graphics look plain to me and the routes don’t flow nicely into each other. Amsterdam was the dark horse. I didn’t expect to like it, but I found it so fun and charming.
Thanks for the video bro! Get to enjoy it on an hour drive now! :D
I am really enjoying the lines and corners of Mario Circuit. The last two turns especially flow really well. It's just a fun, tight racing track.
Here's my ranking for the 8 tracks in this wave:
8th: DS Mario Circuit
7th: GBA Riverside Park
6th: Tour Amsterdam Drift
5th: GCN Waluigi Stadium
4th: Tour Bangkok Rush
3rd: Yoshi's Island
2nd: Tour Singapore Speedway
1st: Wii DK Summit!!!
P.S. I don't hate any of these tracks. They're all amazing 🤩
Finally a good ranking
I agree with most of your opinions but I can't say I agree with you saying Singapore speedways towards the bottom of the list. Even though you do bring up some good points, I still think it might be one of the best city tracks behind Bangkok rush.
Literally agree with everything except Singapore Speedway it looks wayyy too cool, very great ranking video tho! All tracks look very great, I'll be able to play them soon hopefully! Can't wait to be able to rank them myself :]
My ranking:
#8: DS Mario Circuit (decent)
#7: GBA Riverside Park (decent)
#6: Tour Amsterdam Drift (good)
#5: Tour Singapore Speedway (really good)
#4: Tour Bangkok Rush (great)
#3: GCN Waluigi Stadium (amazing)
#2: Wii DK Summit (amazing)
#1: Yoshi's Island (Yoshi's Island)
I miss the Tuk Tuks and Inky Piranha Plants from Bangkok Rush and the sheep from Amsterdam drift, in my opinion those aspects would fix these tracks and make them probably the best cities in the Booster Course Pass
But man they're so good alerady that I'd say they already are the best cities we have in the Booster Course Pass so far
The goats only appeared in Amsterdam Drift 3R.
Where is your evil twin it’s called the DK summit
Lap 2 for Singapore should've been been Singapore Speedway 2 + 3 (sharp left to the glider at the start, then after the 2 bridges, go left towards the soccer field glider, then the chinatown section to the final lap. Then Lap 3 should be Singapore Speedway 1R with the chinatown section for the end). Then it would've been top tier and also have a long lap 2, like Sydney.
Feel better soon my guy
Awesome rankings, respect your opinions 🎉
I find this Wave quite nice, and definitely the best so far. Here's my ranking.
8. DS Mario Circuit
It's nice, but I don't feel like I'm having much fun when I play this track online (on VS mode though, it's a bit better).
7. Yoshi's Island
OKAY OKAY!!!! I like this track, it's nice, but like, I feel like it doesn't do enough, it looks stunning and has some nice gameplay elements but once you leave the underwater section the only good thing left is the second glider section with the alternate path, the rest is kinda eh... it's a great track though and may grow on me!
6. GBA Riverside Park
I love this track so much despite its simplicity, the only reason is ranks here is its simplicity and just how great the wave is in general.
5. Tour Bangkok Rush
I love this track, and typically it would rank higher, it's simply great, but it's only here simply because of some removals, like the inky piranha plants and stuff like that.
4. DK Snowboard Cross
Great track, I love that they kept the gap cuts and all that, it's very nice and easy to play. Very janky track and I love that.
3. Tour Amsterdam Drift
This one is just better than I could have predicted. I always have fun with this track and I think it's just simple but very deservingly praised.
2. Tour Singapore Speedway
I don't care that Lap 2 is a little simple, I still love driving through the Chinatown and the hectic nature of Lap 3, it's all fantastic, add on with great visuals and music and it's a very solid city track, the best so far in 8 Deluxe (although I do prefer Bangkok, it had some removals that made it rank lower here, but would be higher or similar to Singapore on a typical ranking).
1. GCN Waluigi Stadium
No Wario Colosseum?
A here it go:
8. Riverside Park
7. Amsterdam Drift
6. Bangokok Rush
5. Mario Circuit
4. DK summit
3. Waluigi Stadium
2. Singapore Speedway
1. Yoshis Island
The top 2 especially are so special for me, I had a smile side to side in my face when playing this courses!
Kilimanjaro & Victoria Falls)
- Mexico (Cancun, with Mayan Temples; fan of "Legends of the Hidden Temple)
- Central America and Latin America
And most of all...
Wave 4 is the best Wave! Singapore Speedway, Amsterdam Drift and Yoshis Island are all my Top 3 fav tracks in the entire series
@@enigmamusings9846 yeah hahaha I could care less about coins

And as GameXplain said it best during their New York Minute comparison video, "We really wish Pauline were here..."
And so do I.
Our are almost polar opposites lmao. This is how I rank them.

3. Tour Singapore Speedway
4. DS Mario Circuit

- Mario Circuit (DS)
I played the new wave with my sister she said she didn’t like Bangkok rush and Singapore speedway as she says they are not fitting music for the setting. I disagree honestly.
The growth that Albert is seeing in such little time is insane. Mark my words when I say he will be the next sensational Mario UA-camr.
My ranking for Wave 4 for is
1. Singapore Speedway
2. Yoshi’s Island
3. Bangkok Rush
4. Mario Curcuit
5. DK Summit
6. Waluigi Stadium
7. Amsterdam Drift
Great ranking bro! Also seeing Swiftjar racing in the background.... 🤣
My rankings are:
1: Riverside Park
2: Yoshi’s Island
3: Singapore Speedway
4: Amsterdam Drift
5: Waluigi Stadium
6: DK Summit
7: Mario Circuit
8: Bangkok Rush
This is a Mario kart wave

I personally think Singapore Speedway works as an “interesting for a mushroom cup track” track, like Moo Moo Meadows or Koopa Troopa Beach, but with a more climactic atmosphere

1.Walaugi stadium

4.Amsterdam drift
5.Riverside park
6.Singapore speedway
7.Mario circut
8.Bangkok rush
would have been funny if your evil twin came out of nowhere and yelled: IT'S DK SUMMIT GET IT RIGHT!
As for my ranking:
8) Tour Bangkok Rush - Probably the biggest glow down of the wave, especially the music.
DS Mario Circuit is absolutely amazing, it has a billion shortcuts XD
While I completely disagree with this list, I have to say that these videos are very well made! Keep up the good work!
FINALLY someone else took the words out of my mouth that Singapore Speedway feels like wasted potential and the visuals only hide its weak track design
Personally my ranking is
8. Riverside Park
7. Singapore Speedway
6. Mario Circuit
5. Amsterdam Drift
4. DK Summit (Also a fun fact if you drive through the thick snow your screen gets frost on it)
3. Bangkok Rush
2. Waluigi Stadium
1. Yoshi's Island
Tbh i think bangkok rush isnt that great, it was missing the inky piranha plants which annoyed me alot :/
My rating will be
8. Riverside park
7.Amsterdam drift

Your ranking is pretty similar to how I’d ranked the wave 4 courses?
The only differences is that I put DS Mario Circuit as my number 2 course, meanwhile swapping Yoshi’s Island and Amsterdam Drift as well. It looks like this;
1. Amsterdam Drift
2. Mario Circuit
3. Bangkok Rush
4. Yoshi’s Island
5. Waluigi Stadium
6. DK’s Snowboard Cross/Summit
7. Singapore Speedway
8. Riverside Park
My rankings:
8. Tour Amsterdam Drift
7. DS Mario Circuit
6. GBA Riverside Park
5. Tour Bangkok Rush
4. Tour Singapore Speedway
3. Yoshi's Island
2. GCN Waluigi Stadium
1. Wii DK Summit
OMG the wait between wave 1 and 2 was the LONGEST
Wave 4's release date was earlier than wave 1 so lets pray we don't have to wait so long for wave 5.
Wave 4 is amazing, enough said!
While I don’t agree with a lot of this list, I’m glad we can agree that Yoshi’s Island is the greatest track in this wave.
DO NOT COME OUT HERE SAYING BIRDO IS THE BEST MARIO CHARACTER WHEN WE HAVE MORTON
another albert boris classic
I only gripe with Bangkok. Why did they get rid of the inky piranha plants? Oof
Yoshi island track has to be my favorite one
6:48 This is the part that I'm not okay about!
Amsterdam Drift fails as a racetrack
Your comment fails as a comment
It might have squarer turns than Delfino Square but it’s nowhere near that bad lmfao
0:22 yoooo im featured in the video
“Look mum, I’m on TV!”
By the way, DK Summit and Waluigi Stadium are maybe ruined by one thing; the camera zooms in way too close during races. Like, pull it back, Lakitu! I can’t see where I’m going!
Tell CreepyProduce that you like Birdo
No way he put amsterdam drift the top 3 wave 4 course
My ranking is
8 DS Mario Circuit
7 GBA Riverside Park
6 TOUR Singapore Speedway
5 TOUR Amsterdam Drift
4 Wii DK's Snowboard Cross
3 GCN Waluigi Stadium
2 TOUR Bangkok Rush
1 Yoshi's Island
What I dislike the most about Singapore is it doesn't feel like a last track of a wave and it's aesthetic is full blown ADHD with nothing flowing together well it just seems randomly put together
whats up with the discord jumpscares?
Wave 3 is still my favorite wave, but I do like Wave 4 better than Wave 1. Wave 2 was the least exciting one in my opinion.
Nice Discord notification at 17:42 and 18:18
your Mii is scary
What do you use to record your gameplay? I ask because I’ve just been using the capture button and combining. I’m not sure what to do if i want to make longer format videos
I use a HDMI to USB video capture card and OBS. They've become pretty cheap on Amazon lately!
Thanks!
