I've been following Nick Bare for a while now, especially since I started implementing new type of sports besides fitness. His regime and discipline really resonates me and my own views, it always feel like I'm having a dad/ father figure around whenever I watch his videos/ podcast! 🙏
Videos like this are hands down my favorite from you! Live the mindset/strategy topic! I have adopted so many techniques from these, and it is helping me set myself up for success for my first half marathon. Keep em' coming! 💪
I like the concept of backwards planning to prepare for what's coming next, like for your tough workout. My toughest run is in 2 days so I'm going to try to prepare for it a little more than I usually would. Thanks for sharing your knowledge 🔥
I liked the other prep videos. Going through the workouts. Nick would post his weekly schedule pinned to top of comments. Maybe something that could be done again is post the weekly schedule that was done. The video and editing is great but this is marathon prep some marathon info would help.
Piss poor prep leads to piss poor performance. Dad of two young girls and in training for my first marathon and this kind of advice has been as helpful if not more then the actual training and physical aspect of it. Finding the balance between life and your goals is the real workout.
Missed my sub 3 by 3 minutes this past weekend because temps were between 65 and 75 with sun the last third, but decided to go at it again in December and hit my goal!
Toe yoga doesn’t sound silly at all. I will definitely add it to my daily regimen of exercises for my feet. I still weight train about 4x a week but running was my stress reliever where I could just get away from everything. But I really appreciate you responding and give me some advice, really means a lot. An I’m glad you were able to recover from your PF, so happy for you. Enjoy the rest of your day.
Hey, I could really use some POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT PLEASE!!. I’ve been unable to run for two months now cuz of plantar fasciitis in my foot. An it has been a nightmare not being able to run but every time I watch nick it keeps me motivated. Love watching the Bare family. 🙏🏽🙏🏽
It's only temporary, but it sure does suck. Find other exercise you can do to stay fit, so you don't lose your fitness and you mind. I've had bouts now and then, but finally figured out how to keep it away. Toe yoga. Sounds silly, but with your feet flat, raise just your big toes 10 x, then just the rest of your toes 10 x. Then alternate between big toes and the rest 10 x. You might have to hold down the resting toes until your foot gains strength, and you might get cramps at first, but once your feet get strong, the cramps- and the PF- fade. It took me a week, 3x a day, to lose the pain after 6 months of misery. (I also put PF insoles in all my shoes. ) You've got this!! Good luck!
Just run trough it. It always goes always when you warm up. You can’t expect to feel zero pain when you run every time. You need to stretch for an hour or 30 minutes to feel prevent your muscles tightening.
As you transition from a marathon prep into a strength training focus, do you feel your range of motion, flexibility, and exertion becomes more difficult for your runs? How does this focus steer the mileage, types or runs, and recovery time?
Of all your motivational videos this one has really lit the lightbulb, that eureka moment if you will. The sourdough bread. I cook mine in a wood fired oven. The planning and patience that go with that for a stellar product boils down to extreme detail. My training for triathlon has been good but the question is it good enough with the planning and execution? Or does it fall short. I will redirect on my training. For the Ice cream, that is my weakness, I'm getting that appliance as well.
Following now for a while! Thanks for the great content and sharing your methods for success! Your fitness journey is very inspiring and impressive! One idea for your home office 💡 If you turn your desk so the back of the screen faces the window, sitting with the back to the wall and rest of the L shape of the desk follows along the wall where there is now the desktop 🖥️, you'll have less light reflection on your screen and Feng shui wise, you'll see/feel facing the open space and window instead the wall is much more efficient energy wise 🤙
Nick Great guy love the video’s man! Inspiring me to convert to a more hybrid athlete! I would love to try that sourdough recipe man 🎉 A bit pushy but when is the next sourdough video coming 😂 😜
A super fit guy standing shirtless in the kitchen, cooking, while holding his kid, has got to be one of the hottest things I've ever seen! 😂 Love your message here. I've struggled with prepping, whether for runs, races, business, etc, and have found making things a daily habit is the only way I get them done. After watching this I'm going to sit down and review my goals, and the prep I need to achieve them.
Have you ever had injuries and what was your mental approach to it. As a runner I go until I really fucked myself over and know that I need to change that mindset.
Hi Nick, love your video's! Very inspirational. Can you elaborate more on alcohol usage? I had an alcohol problem 5 years ago even during training. When I stopped I at start didn't notice any improvements..
For most people, stopping drinking will make them feel better. But for someone with an alcohol tolerance, stopping drinking can actually feel worse, for a while. But once you're over the hump, I'd expect for most things to improve: sleep, recovery, energy, focus, relationships, etc. If not, well, you can still feel good knowing you're doing better for your health by not drinking.
I have the want to do these habits! But as a mom at home with 4 kids daddy gone working not gonna be able to go more than 4 ish miles with kids 😅 training kids while training me is my reality lol
All I gotta do is look at the price, and then it's easy. Sugar becomes a lot less addicting when it's no longer a daily (or even weekly) habit, as well.
It’s interesting that there’s been no explanation about why there was move to Nashville. Just one day, videos from Nashville and Austin. And then just Nashville.
Stef has said on instagram how much she loves Tennessee, I think she went to college there and loves the area. Pretty sure that’s where they met too, apparently it was always the plan
do you run on the road? do you just simply dodge the cars? i find it a bit scary tbh. thanks as always for the amazing content nick! really appreciate you and your work :D also this just so happens to be the 100th video on this video
Here's a FAIR question for you NICK , assuming all goes well , how would you see your training in 20 years time, ?? 50% ...60% of you're current workload both lifting and running ?, FAIR QUESTION ??? ✌️
Set conditions for success, not conditions for failure lol. Part of goal setting is being realistic! That being said... convince him to meal prep for you on weekends, and in return maybe take care of a few of his "honey do" chores for him. Best of luck!
I guarantee once the trt, hrt and whatever unnatural testosterone booster recived from a clinic comes off that shirt will come on. Easily will loose 10-15 lbs of muscle, no matter what the diet, sleep and protein is taken. Good video though.

Sourdough never fails. And freshly baked. It just does something to your productivity after consumption 😂😂😂

This is his Vlog series, no the Marathon Prep series. They are different. Vlogs are for him to share random things.

The first 5 minutes is pure gold!
Been watching for a long time, always good to have this on in the background while other work gets done

Can’t wait for the sourdough recipe video. And the ice cream machine!!! Is a must have.
Do you think you will ever train for a shorter race (5-10km)? I would love to follow a training journey on that!
agreed! It doesn't need butter. My wife makes the best sourdough. I'd love to see a side-by-side. Yours definitely looks great.
Some sourdough toast with fresh creamed honey has quickly become my go-to for pre run carbs. Hard to beat the quality of homemade
You cannot tell us you also used to be a guitar player, and not show us your skills.. so keen to see that in an episode! 🙏🏼

Thanks for the Monday Motivation Nick. Lets fucking get it.
The creami is the bomb, we love ours! Can’t wait to get our BPN mint chocolate chip and try it!
I set up the conditions to succeed at work as well.

+1 for double dipping with the ice cream.😅. Cracking motivational video. Cheers mate👍
😂👌👌Such great guidance, we’ll take the dog and baby slobber any day 😂
Finding out Nick was into emo when he was younger was a surprise lol.
Secret ingredient in Stef's sourdough- BPN creatine monohydrate
I love watching N.Bare -- I want to see the Emo Nick Bare lol
I've never seen Nick turn down an opportunity to use some Kerrie Gold's butter... that bread must be good!!
how do the oats taste in the egg whites. interesting
Please do more vlogs!!!
Jocko is proud
When I try talking to the gopro during my run I be DYING😂😂😂
“Setting the conditions” is another way to tell people you’re a veteran without actually saying it lol.
Keep it up
I have the want to do these habits! But as a mom at home with 4 kids daddy gone working not gonna be able to go more than 4 ish miles with kids 😅 training kids while training me is my reality lol
what starter yall using for that bread a store bought one or a a homemade ferment?
So...are we gonna see Nick cover some pop punk or what!?
Charlie loves to eat 🙂. That's awesome
Hey Nick, let's get BPN to Europe?
Anyone know what Nike shoe model he is wearing in the workout portion of the video? Thanks
I really want that bread recipe 😮
Great 👍🏽
2 minutes in. I wanna see a short video on how Remi recovers from his morning run hahah
Gotta admire the strength to run by a crumbl cookies store and not stop lol
All I gotta do is look at the price, and then it's easy. Sugar becomes a lot less addicting when it's no longer a daily (or even weekly) habit, as well.
When is his marathon??
Wish I could go run. Thanks ruptured achilles
Emo kid? Still Ike emo music? Even bigger fan of you now than I already was 🙌🏼
