I’ll never understand why Sony tried to revive the MIB franchise as a film. This was the perfect ending to the trilogy with Agents J and K riding off into the sunset

The great thing about this beautiful scene is that it works in so many emotional ways. One of them for me is: having a stern, seemingly-uninterested father figure that you one day realise has been looking out for you all along.
I cried when J found out that the little boy was him and the colonel was his father and that K took care of J all those years 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢

Josh Brolin is an exceptional Actor. He already is well known as an actor but played Tommy Lee Jones' K to a tee. So well that I forget it is Brolin in some scenes. Incredible!
I remember watching this years ago, expecting nothing special.... but then found myself absolutely loving it.
What an unexpected emotional ending to a movie. Well done.
I don't care what anyone says, Men in Black is one of the only trilogies in existence that managed to deliver a solid story with each film. Usually, the third movie in any trilogy is considered the weakest; that doesn't apply here. It's comedic, it's heart-warming and it knew exactly what it wanted to be.
For all of you wannabe writers, THIS is how you end a trilogy. Don't beg for more films by constantly ending on cliffhangers, end your story with 90-100% of the plot tied up, because if people still want more after that, then you know you've written a solid story.
The next movie after this was fine as well, for me anyway. I liked that we shifted focus away from these two as their story is effectively over
Something that I absolutely love about this scene is that K in that moment gives Jay a wonderful memory and legacy to hold onto: Saying his father was a hero. That’s what did it for me.

Same here bro. Same here. I lost my pops 2 years ago when I was 22. I miss him everyday and this scene brought tears to my eyes. And the fact that it brought tears to yours shows how important he was to u!!! Love u bro keep pushin!!!

This was for sure a solid ending to this franchise. It came out of nowhere and made me tear up. Cudos to the writers.
Did anyone notice that when k side as Jay put down the watch he also nodded his head very slightly. He was realizing that those secrets that he was keeping some of them were no longer secrets anymore because Jay had now lived that time. They had reached the point in time now when Jay went back in time he always knew Jay came from the future and they were partners but he did not know from what time he came from. What date? So when he saw the watch he knew they had reached that time reached that date it was also acknowledging that Jay now knew the truth about some matters that he was keeping secret and Jay was aware of those secrets knew what they were. It was a lot going on in that conversation. Very little said

One problem in the OG timeline Boris was still alive in this one he isn't does anyone have an explanation for that, though I get what your saying your breaking down of one of the most heartbreaking bootstrap paradoxs.
@@pugtie4695 I get what you're saying. Things have changed but honestly that's not important. We're the boris is alive or not? That's not important to the story that was told. Quite honestly, I don't get hung up on paradoxes in stories. If the story is good, it's good. If it's not it's not
@@ecay I should have washed Austin Powers is the first time travel movie because they basically said you're saying but in a few seconds which was just don't think about it but because I saw films that always explained how time travel works I'm always thinking about it
@@pugtie4695 you know I've never watched a single Austin Powers movie. I know it exists. Never watched it I know there's paradoxes in movies and stories and time travel. They're always is. I just enjoy the story. So mama really good. Some of them are bad and I understand some of the theories behind time travel but I try not to focus on it because to me it just takes away from the story. It's not real. We're not really traveling in time, but if the paradoxes blatantly obvious can't be ignored to me, it just distracts from the story
you know when i first watched this movie i realized that K had bean watching over J his entire life and plus when you look at K's face as he see the watch at the when J was talking you can tell that he still blames himself for what happened
Other people have talked about it's more that he realizes he's finally at the point where J came from. He knew all these years that J was going to be his partner, that J was going to go back and save him, but he never knew *when* J was going to go back to save him.
The ending with the Background score makes it so wonderful to watch....I have watched it endlessly ❤️

When I saw J coming out of the car I instantly started bawling because I knew some kids dad just passed away, and then u cried harder when I realized it was agent J’s which is even sadder.
J is one tough SOB. One of MIB's best agents.

Also K changed afterwards J asked him what happened to him? That’s your answer he couldn’t bring it to himself to tell J he’s responsible for his dad’s death. He didn’t want to give him more pain.
I watched this movie before my senior prom so it holds a special place in my heart ❤️

Just wondering why J didn't go back in time just to save his dad ..... 😕
He never knew that was his father until that moment. The movie also made it clear that *someone* was gonna die there regardless of what he did
Where there is death, there will always be death.
I think J was smart enough not to interfere with time. If he did save his father's life, there could have been some severe changes. Flash went back in time to prevent his mother from dying but ended up making things worse.
