Here's an easter egg for you: When the colonel says "Man, that's some next-level stuff", it's close the same line as J says to K when he tells him he is in in MIB1: "Alright, I'm in, cause look, there's some next-level shit going on around here, and I'm with that" Like father, like son.
It always annoys me when the bad guys in movies instantly kill people throughout the whole film but once it comes to the main characters all they do is push them or throw them lmao.
yea the guy could have killed them both like 10 times over on that crane after the first escape you think hed make sure not to throw them on a perfect landing pad
@@linx7130 Shit makes me so mad in movies when villains do that lol. And these are the MAIN PROTAGONISTS standing between them and their plan and they dont even treat them like they are as dangerous as a random guy in a jail cell they one shot earlier in the movie.
They both went back in time, so Boris knew J knew the left right left pattern. So he tried to flip it, but J predicted that. After realizing the second time he tried one more reversal and J predicted that reversal too out of desperation.
There is a lot of stuff like this in this movie. Funny enough Boris is far from worse criminal in this rocket facility. At the time there were at least dozens of high ranked Nazis from ww2 working at NASA. From rocket engineers to doctors that were testing how vacuum works on human body. Together those "former" nazis were responsible for at least tens of thousands of deaths pretty much directly. That would be of course Von Braun and his brother, Hubertus Strughold and many others. Just von Braun and Strughold alone are responsible for thousands of murders.
No, he can't because he has a son and MIB agents have to abandon all former ties. He didn't get shown his death, he got shown that his son grows up to be J
Theory was in the original timeline he did join MIB and eventually did die and K promised to take care of ‘J’ and ensure he is ready In this movie it just got accelerated
COL Edwards is an impostor. According to his uniform and ribbons, he is a full colonel who has served at least one tour in Vietnam, where he won two individual RVN Crosses of Gallantry and one RVN unit Cross of Gallantry. He has 2 Combat Infantry Badges. One would obviously have been awarded in Vietnam, and the other probably in Dominican Republic in 1965. However, he does not have a National Defense Service Medal or a Vietnam Campaign Medal. He has an Overseas Service Medal, which was not awarded until 1981 (his death scene takes place in 1969). He also has no combat unit patch on his right shoulder, which does not line up with Vietnam service. He also has no name tag, although that's just laziness on the part of the director to keep K from realizing who he is. He wears several weapons qualifications badges, and officers don't wear them. Overall, his awards simply don't make sense, almost as if they were put on the uniform by somebody who doesn't know much about military decorations - like an alien.
And the funniest part is that the Launch Escape System is jettisoned on a suborbital trajectory meaning it would have just fallen back into the atmosphere.
One bit I don’t get. Wouldn’t killing past Boris create a paradox? Like if past Boris dies here than future Boris never existed thus the events of the movie don’t happen thus past Boris lives etc.
Well considering that Borris gets captured and held for several decades his impact on the time stream is only enough to cause this loop of him going back in time I believe.
Kind of Unrelated, but I always saw it as "Time doesn't want to be changed" so after the timeline gets restored, the Timeline will end up killing off anything that would change the timeline. So future Boris happens to be stuck in the fire, and past Boris is killed off by Agent K. Sort of like a Final Destination. J would have been caught in the same crosshairs if he wasn't immediately returning to the future, and was only safe because he was restoring the timeline beforehand. To answer your question though, because Griffin can see all Paths Simultaneously, we can assume it's a Many Worlds theory, where Boris started a new timeline, and J is bringing them back onto his own. So for all intents and purposes: Yes, but J is the only one who would notice, and he's back in his own dimension
Matter of scale, but it is hard to imagine Boris surviving a 360' fall, then the fury of the F1 engines, only to be killed by something as clumsy and random as a blaster.
Different Boris', Future Boris Dies to the Engines, Past Boris dies to the blaster (was no proof he was under the engines at the blast and may/would have already escaped) and both consitently survive the fall...
This scene was a terrible mistake. The device lets you travel back in time, NOT REWIND IT. It is not the same thing. After the time jump there should be 2 Js and 2 Borises on that scaffolding, and J would still have those pointy things in his body.
@@vexteck6412 He's referring to the way J avoided his attacks. This was indeed a mistake (among others) due to delays in shooting and change of screenwriters, you can look it up.
A beautiful scene. A time when humanity had hope, beyond our petty disagreements and political disagreements. Hope was a definable element to who we were and who we once again could be.
The funny thing is J should still have the spikes in him after he time traveled and as a matter of fact he would appear behind boris and probably collapse dead. Cause this isnt a time traveling into a different body situation.
No J time travelled to the point when Boris grabs him therefore removing the spikes if you did the time jump and got shot it would remove the bullet impact if you travelled back before your shot .
Boris is a great character design, too bad the writting is so lazy on this fight. Someone as savage as Boris the animal, wouldn't just throw them to the side, He would inmediatily kill them, throw them down or at least break a bone or two to inmovilize them and then shoot them with his thorns until they die. But how could the men in black win to such a powerful villain? That's when real writting happens, but since it was lazy the easy solution is to make Boris dumb and fight them in a non fatal way just because

The escape tower was jettisoned after second stage ignition and never made it close to orbit.
The Saturn V never made a thick smoke contrail like a solid rocket booster either.
Oh, I forgot. The launch umbilical tower of the Saturn V didn't have escape baskets. That was done for the space shuttle.
It didn't need to make it to orbit. It needed to make it space. That's the instruction given.
