Another fantastic video! It's so fun to see how everyone's plants are doing. I've never grown trees from seed, but I'll send some good vibes to your oak saplings! I also have a renewed appreciation for people who film outside. I just put together my first garden tour and it was tough! Also, putting all those timestamps in is no joke. Keep up the great work!
Thank you so much for the comments, compliments, and good vibes for my wee tree babies!! 💚 Things are looking awesome, but we're in the midst of a heat wave, so I'm praying they all hold on! Thanks for the appreciation for the outdoor filming - it's not easy - I can't tell you how many times someone's been mowing their lawn right when I'm about to film, or a kid is playing basketball, or it's raining when I want to head out! ...ugh! The woes of a mediocre UA-cam gardener!! I definitely find that the wireless mic helps - though that has been a bit tricky too!!! Lol and then there's the timestamps! It is quite amazing the time needed for all the back end work - thanks for connecting to that! I appreciate the appreciation!!! I'll have to take a peek at your garden tour too! 💚
@@TheSuburbanGardenista 100% agree on the mowing thing. I think everybody takes turns mowing so it stretches the whole day. And if it's not some gas powered lawn equipment, then it's probably way too windy to film... I feel the pain of the heat wave as well. It's like most of spring was skipped and it went right to the middle of summer. Hang in there little plant babies!
I'm late again! Those lupines are so pretty 😍 I am looking forward to working on my other shade gardens next year. This year I did under a blue spruce and most plants are doing well a month later so we'll see! Although a cat was nibbling on my Pennsylvania Sedge the other day lol. One of my wild geraniums might have died or been dug up/eaten.. We'll see what happens in the spring if it comes back! Two False Solomon's Seal are visibly gone but I'm hoping the roots are healthy enough that they've just gone dormant and will be alright next year too. I recently gave away nearly 50 plants that I winter sowed because I don't have anywhere to put them now 😅 but next year I think I might start charging for them. My Anise Hyssop wound up being Korean Mint so those are all in a big pot instead of the garden. Anywho, hopefully I catch the July episode before August 😅
No fret! Thanks for watching, even if it was a little late in the game! Sorry you had some losses this year, but I have hope that your plants are filling in underground 🤞🏼 that's so wonderful that you shared so many of your winter sowed plants - I do the same when I have more than I can handle - I think of it as extending my gardens - and slowly infiltrating my friends gardens with native plants too! Why not charge a few bucks if folks are willing to pay - you put the time and energy into sowing and caring for them - it will likely just help pay for more plants anyhow!! Bloody Korean mint! I want anise hyssop, and haven't been able to get my hands on the true native variety quite yet. Until then, I'll keep the Korean variety, but I won't be sharing it as widely anymore! Thanks again for watching - and hot tip, the July video was just posted 😘💚
@@TheSuburbanGardenista oh for sure I would only be charging a minimal amount to cover the cost of the potting mix and the pots lol. But I am happy to know that so many plants are going to be grown and not wasted. I saw my first monarch butterfly on our property since moving here in 2018 so I am pretty stoked. I lead an adrenaline-filled rollercoaster of a life 🤣
