The height variations established by your basing is nice Vince. Your remarkable ❤️ has truly given their creator justice. It’s been a joy to witness these warriors come to life, not only through the years, but in your hobby space. Thank you for the journey. Have a great weekend!
The Chaos Warriors look absolutely amazing, Vince. (S)he who thirsts would be proud, and then would make that pride weird and uncomfortable. It's always a pleasure watching your videos and learning new things.
These miniatures are fantastic and you have definitely done them justice. The purple armour in particular looks amazing! Great job and thanks for the always helpful content.
@@VinceVenturella I'm currently using all of this awesome info to paint my first ever unit. I decided to go big and am working on an inperial knight. I think i'm going to brave it and try some of the highlighting as seen in this video. Thanks for the inspiration!
I often find myself in the "this effect has to be this color, this piece has to look like that" mindset, like how you described the rust effects in the video. I'm hoping once I start my Crimson Fists soon that I can add some unique attributes to them that I havent seen on the tabletop yet. As always, thank you for the videos and I hope you have a good one!
Another great video - Thanks Vince! Really hoping to attend one (or more) of your classes at Nova this fall. First time there and looking forward to a lot of painting classes and insights ...
Great video Vince. I was thinking of some ideas you haven't covered yet. Maybe: Red Daemon Skin, Ancient/Fresh Bone, Uses of Crackle Paint, and maybe something to do with fluorescent paints, either a brand review or uses for. Just some ideas, I hope to get into your Gencon Painting class this year, cheers!
So I covered Red Demon skin here - ua-cam.com/video/rFDHpVJiNC0/v-deo.html I did Flourescent Paints here - ua-cam.com/video/CNj82oNv6jM/v-deo.html I'll add the others to the list. :)
Honestly, on this scale of miniature, I would avoid it, they just always look wrong, because they just can't show correctly at this scale for the most part. They are almost going to always look too dark, too thick and too pronounced.
I just love these models, and the colors you have are fantastic. I'm still at the stage of trying to make mine look mostly like the box art :) This was helpful as always Vince! P.S. you need a patreon.
Thank you, it's very much appreciated. I might go the direction of a Patreon someday, but for now, this is purely a hobby to my normal full time job. But I am grateful there is interest and I am very thankful the videos are helpful.
If you got a smartphone or any other device capable of running apps, the app called PaintRack can give a close alternative to most colors be they citadel, vallejo, p3 or most of the brands. Just enter the name of the paint select it and you can get the closets alternative match for the paints, along with the name of the complementary colors, analogous colors or triad colors.
I haven't done a tutorial on the armor yet, but It was basically, Glacier Blue from Vallejo, Hastur Purple and Bloodfest Crimson with a little burnt red, then some Payne's grey for shadows and Alizeran Crimson HBA for glazes.
I will do a tutorial on it sometime relatively soon. It was basically, Glacier Blue from Vallejo, Hastur Purple and Bloodfest Crimson with a little burnt red, then some Payne's grey for shadows and Alizeran Crimson HBA for glazes.

Addressing the beginning of the video: I have a different issue. Instead of "can't wait to stop" I keep going and going and end up ultimately making it worse than if I would have stopped earlier, I would've been much happier with the result.
I mix them all the time. For competition pieces, I will tend to do more of one or the other, but I mix there too, especially with swords blades in NMM and the other metal parts in TMM. For most contests, it wouldn't really matter, it's about executing the method you're using well. That being said, each contest has it's own type of things and picadillos and I can't say that there aren't some judges who might not like it, but the hobby is moving to recognize art over some adherence to silly rules.
Are you breasts or ass guy? Vince: I'm more of a banner, face, base and shield type... I know I'm guilty of finishing too early. Leave it for "later". So I never truly finish any minies.
Hey Man...What do you think Chaos Warrior 's metal is made of ? DOOD, non other than Solidified Arse Fat of course! Great video tutorial as always Vince 😍 Thanks btw, the skin on the final guys face looks particularly good on this model, do you have a tutorial on skin such as this? Also in this regard, it would be really great to see skin tones of varied ethnicities as I really have only seen one person create an Asian look and in that case he he remodelled the whole face which btw, looks fantastic, he would make a great colab if you were interested, his painting and particularly his remodelling is absolutely incredible and for me his tutorials are among the best in a large part because they are done in real time and full models, not just parts of a model, so beginners or even I would argue seasoned painters can actually learn more easily by painting along with him. I was talking of Mezgike, here is his link if you are interested, The conversion: ua-cam.com/video/o9hYMnkuA-Q/v-deo.html Then the Painting tutorial: ua-cam.com/video/lRmgxsEuEYk/v-deo.html
Yes, I have a plan to tackle other ethnicities and I try to mix it up in my figures. I want to do a whole series on other skin tones (I had tackled Dark Flesh in a previous video).

Hey Vince, I have been in a painting rut lately. I watched this video and have been given strength anew. Thank you so much for making this content.
That's awesome, wonderful to hear and I am always glad to help. :)
Faces, bases, banners & shields...that’ll stick in my brain...thanks V :-)
It's something I keep at top of mind and stick in my head. :)
My two favorite colors at the moment!
Can't wait for the tutorial for the armor!
Yep, it's all recorded, it will be coming next month.

Awesome, NOVA is so wonderful, you are going to have a great time.
You did an outstanding job there, Vince 🙂
Thank you, that is very much appreciated.
Looking forward to the red armor tutorial. Should make some nice word bearers
Yep, it's all recorded, but I need to edit and schedule out. :)
Any videos on how you painted these guys by chance? I love the colors.
Not yet, but I will be adding a video coming up on the armor technique.
Vince Venturella can’t wait as always keep up the great job.

Hey Vince! I love that color pallet. When doing extra details what is your opinion of adding eyebrows? I rarely see people paint them.
Honestly, on this scale of miniature, I would avoid it, they just always look wrong, because they just can't show correctly at this scale for the most part. They are almost going to always look too dark, too thick and too pronounced.

Yep, great call out, good tool for sure.
Great model and video Vince. Do you have details of how you painted this guy?
I haven't done a tutorial on the armor yet, but It was basically, Glacier Blue from Vallejo, Hastur Purple and Bloodfest Crimson with a little burnt red, then some Payne's grey for shadows and Alizeran Crimson HBA for glazes.
@@VinceVenturella thanks man!
How did you do the purple armour looks stunning
I will do a tutorial on it sometime relatively soon. It was basically, Glacier Blue from Vallejo, Hastur Purple and Bloodfest Crimson with a little burnt red, then some Payne's grey for shadows and Alizeran Crimson HBA for glazes.
Great video!
Thank you, happy to help as always. :)
That guy with the face that you put the 5 o'clock shadow on - Do you think he would be caught dead driving a Passat?
Probably a Fiat guy.
Thank you for the videoo!!!
And by the way, this chaos unit is really cool.
Glad you like it!
Do you have a vid of you painting that shield
I do not have that shield exactly, but I have the process for the armor in this video - ua-cam.com/video/yZ9UgcEqdQs/v-deo.html
Great video as always. I know you’ve had a few questions already but what technique did you use for the armour? Looks great.

that is the exact purple i wanted to do my heresy era emperor's children...please do a tutorial for this guy!
I will be doing a tutorial on this armor scheme. :)
Your standard bearer looks a bit like a pole dancer.
The paint job is beautiful too.
He's more of a private dancer. ;)
It looks like you are mixing TMM and NMM. I'm working on a contest piece, but I was warned not to do that. What are your thoughts?
I mix them all the time. For competition pieces, I will tend to do more of one or the other, but I mix there too, especially with swords blades in NMM and the other metal parts in TMM.

@@VinceVenturella thank you very much!! your content is super awesome, and your hobby cheating videos are super helpful!
But Vince! anyone I share this with will realize I'm not actually spending 5 hours per clanrat! ;)
It's a good point, but you can still tell them you took 5 hours AND did this. ;)
How does that translate to 40k? Faces, bases, banners and guns?
I think that's right, especially those special weapons like plasma guns.
@@VinceVenturella Cool! Thanks a ton for all your videos :)
The audio balance seems really off in this video.
Hmmm...strange, was there a particular part? I listened back and it seemed normal but it might be my set-up
Hang on, do chaos warriors shave?
I'm saying why not, they have all those sharp swords. ;)
I think they'd use fire?
Are you breasts or ass guy?
Vince: I'm more of a banner, face, base and shield type...
