Anytime I get an eye irritation, organic chamomile teabags are especially good as compresses (slight poultice and antibacterial effects; also just smell nice and feel extra soothing).
Lovely trip to a dream destination!

Unsolicited skin advice buuuuuut eczema sufferer here- I realized I get it around my eyes when I use concealer that has a doe foot applicator! And searching online I have discovered Im not the only one. Must be something in the liquid concealers. Its a frustrating process of elimination but that helps massively! Also after any lotion I apply to eyes I put a layer of vaseline or if you can get aquaphor and it helps with the moisture retention. Im an aesthetician and eczema/dermatitis sufferer so Ive tried to use my training and own experience to battle it. Seems to help best wishes xx

Dear Brittany, as always a beautiful vlog and I enjoy your and Dean’s nature so much! The fact that you have a Steamer with you made me laugh so hard. I am amazed! We‘ve been going camping with van plus tent in summer now for 3 years (with our daughter, now aged 8). We drive from Germany to the South of France and will be staying for 4 weeks this time. I really love the slow life you are immediately thrown into when camping. I wish I had the discipline to bring a steamer but, seriously, my husband would kill me. 😂 In just roll everything up into boxes. 🤷‍♀️
Take care, you are amazing. Love from Germany XOXOX Rebecca

Love your channel and style. So sorry you’ve been dealing with your eye symptoms for so long. Might we suggest seeing a Naturopath in England? Eczema isn’t actually a skin issue but more of a gut/immune issue and needs to be addressed from the inside out. We treat it a lot with our patients. Wishing you much healing.

I love your camping vlogs! They always look so beautiful and make me want to go road trip in the UK!
If you ever find yourself wanting to road trip in America you really need to check out the Oregon Coast, Brookings-Astoria. It has incredible sea stacks, natural bridges, cliffs, lighthouses and really great whale watching during migration season. The entire coast is state park so there is so much hiking and small beaches you can only get to if you park on the side of the road and hike down. Plus you can always extend your trip when you reach Astoria, where the Goonies was filmed, and go to the rainforest in Washington, or head inland to Portland and top in St. Helens on the way which is where the movie Halloweentown was filmed.

Brittany, I had to share after seeing you suffer blepharitis! I had a horrendous, chronic case for years -- told there was no cure. Then, one day, I heard of someone who cured theirs using Manuka Honey. So I slathered it on every night religiously for a couple of weeks in a last ditch effort (not just any Manuka honey, the most "active" I could get my hands on) and it was cured! I wear eye makeup daily now and have not had a flare up for yearrrrsss!

Hi Brittany, sorry to hear about the blefaritis en eczema. I have had eczema around my eyes in the past and it took a long time to heal. The only thing that really helped was to not use any skincare products or make-up for a prolongued period of time. I did use a cream of calendula and vaseline to protect the affected areas. Once healed I was very careful with introducing skincare products and I still am very cautious, I do not use anything harsh on the skin around my eyes and minimal make-up, basically just YSL Touche Eclat and mascara. I always make sure to use clean fingers or brushes when applying and a gentle oil based remover.
With regard to chronic blefaritis: I have that too, it started 2 years ago and it apparently flares up for me in winter. I have started using a humidifier because dry air in the home definitely makes it worse. Keeping eyelids and the edges clean is a daily chore, ugh, but I really need to stay on top of it. Sometimes I use a little bit of tea tree oil on a q-tip but reaaaaally carefully, as the oil stings like crazy.

My eczema is triggered by sugar mostly. So I quit eating basically everything that contains sugar and gluten, starch as well. It helped me a lot. Maybe that’s your case as well. Sugar is a great source for bad bacteria, so cutting it to minimum can help with skin issues.

Hi Brittany, loving the videos as always! I have the same problem with my eyes. I would really recommend wearing no eye make up for a few weeks and using Vaseline throughout the day, it really heals the eczema better than anything I’ve found. When I have flare ups, using really cold water on flannels seems to reduce swelling and when I do wear makeup, I soak it off with warm water and a really soft flannel. It’s so annoying not being able to wear make up, but the eczema is flared up with contact, cleaning of the eyes. Hope this is of some use!

I never had blepharitis but I had eczema on my eyelids and sides of my eyes and something that helped soooo much is to use barrier moisturizers (like Cerave) at least twice a day, followed at night, by some Aquaphor on top of the moisturizer. It helped so much with my eczema! oh, and of course SPF during the day! I hope it can help anyone! x

Chronic blepharitis sufferer here, I've found that no eye make up and using OcuSoft Plus Lid Foam Cleanser has helped me keep it at bay for the last year. Might be worth checking your shampoo as there can sometimes be a connection, if you try anti-dandruff shampoo (I've found Body Shop ginger shampoo to be the best), it might help clear your eyes up generally. Mine started randomly at 25 with no obvious triggers and have been told it's just one of these things that can happen.

I suffered with the exact same eye concern as you and eventually began cleaning my eyes multiple times per day with Dermol cream and reuseable cotton pads (clean each time of course). It’s a lotion creams that is antimicrobial and it sorted my eyes out, and every now and again when I feel something triggers it, I return to the cream for a few days and I have thus far not had another big flare up since. Not sure if this helps, I know everyone is so very different x

Regarding your eyes - firstly, sorry you are dealing with this, it sucks. Secondly, I think you have mentioned before that you are a hayfever sufferer? I get eczema on my eyes during winter months, but also usually a flareup when hayfever season starts. I will also be much more sensitive to products. I have found briefly upping my allergy meds and using a air-purifier and sometimes a humidifier helps. Just a thought ☺️

I just wanted to recommend marigold ointment (I think that’s the right translation) if nothing else helps for your eyes! I had some similar eczema that started around the eyes and grew all over my face so I know how much it sucks 😫 It was most likely due to an allergic reaction for me (from what I’m not sure, suspecting a vegan supplement I had just started with during that time plus stress & overall sensitive skin). Walked around with it for months BUT that natural ointment made it better in a few days 🙏🏼🌸

just needed to write. my eyes looked soo similar to yours this fall. i have gone through allergic test etc but the doctors couldnt find what it was but i finally stoped with the brand "verso"s products and filorga, and after some cream i finally got it normal, since then everytime i start with a new it takes a couple of days before i can tell if i reacting or not too the new product. The verso products i had been using for almost two years and after one year i started to have a bit irritated eyes (friends thought it was pollen related in the beginning, itched and little redness) but after some months it got worse and worse and finally i got the reactions all over my face and it looked soo awful. i got an eye and face cream from the doctors that helped to calm in down "the allergic reaction" in a couple of days. dont use any serum/cream etc that contain a lot of ingredienses before you stoped with everything and are "normal" and then one step at the time to try to take in a product in your routine again. best wishes.

May I ask what steamer you use for your clothes and would you recommend it? I’ve been searching for a good one for ages but there are so many of them on the market, I can’t decide on which one to get. Thanks 😊
