Hi Melissa! I love watching your videos! I learn so much. I just happened to go to the Crystalac website yesterday or the day before and I ordered the grand finale and then I saw your video. I can’t wait to get it. Thank you again exclamation
Ty for the very informative video, highly appreciated for the new knowledge. Love the bright vibrant colors!!! As I have learned with using epoxy and BT there are learning curves to learn using basically any type of product. Til next tyme...keep those cre8ive juices abrewing!!!
how many layers do you normally use on 20 oz tumblers with glitter? do you use any other method instead of sanding? I have pain after sanding? Is it because I am doing it for too long?
Beautiful work! 😍 Does the cup have that sticky residue after the epoxy? I ask because I have purchased epoxy products in the past from a vendor and it was sticky for a while and then not shiny. So disappointing.
Love this, I am patiently waiting for mine to come in the mail. I have heard it repels over vinyl, have you had that happen and what is your solution to it. Also how do you clean up the rims of your cups when using this ?
Thank you ! I’ve put it over vinyl and haven’t had any repelling issues. But you could add 1-2 coats of glitter glue on top of your vinyl before the top coat . That will help you avoid any repelling. I clean the rim of my cups once I’m done with them . I use an xacto knife to clean up the rim area .
I'm really struggling with this topcoat bright tone was so much easier to apply.. I will have to try this exactly, tho I'm struggling either way I try to apply it... I'm getting bubbles and orange peel.. 😢
Thank you 🥰 I can’t remember if I mentioned the total number of coats in the video but I did 9 coats since I wanted a super glossy finish . I did sand every 3-4 coats . I show the sanding process in the video 🥰
You’re so welcome!! I was giving away one of these glass cups to the first person to notice my son in this video 😊🥰 you were the first person to comment. Send me a message on instagram ❤️
Love your videos. I am ready to order now from Crystalac and, of course, the grand finale. When you apply the glitter, do you just hang the tumblers to dry or do you put them in the turner to dry?
Thank you 🥰 I hang dry usually. If I glitter with Brite Tone or grand finale I do it on the spinner so I let it spin for an hour and then turn off the turner and let it dry for the rest of the required dry time 😊 either on the turner (if I don’t need to coat any other cups) or off the turner.
Thank you ! The cups are okay for use after 5-7 days . Of course following proper care instructions. I can share care instructions with you. Just dm me on instagram 😊 my instagram is Melissacrafter00
hi fellow epoxy user here wanting to make the switch ! for example if I want to make the switch am I only allowed to use crystalac items instead of the regular spray paints, mod podge , etc ?!
Before I discovered Grande Finale, I tried Mod Podge hard coat and MinWax Oil base varnish. Used both on coasters and hoped that cups and glasses would not stick. They did and I had to sand between coats. Tried Grande Finale, but had to sand before the first coat. No sanding between coats for Crystalac products. Cups and glasses don’t stick to the coaster. 😊
Yes definitely. You would just need to allow the proper dry time for each. If using grand finale: wait 2 hours after each coat. If using brite tone: wait 4 hours after each coat. You can interchange between the two. I also have so much BT. so I'm using both until I run out of BT.
Hello can I use the grand finale to make molds for like keychains or badges for nurses. I have a girl that wants me to make her some and I don't want to use epoxy because I'm almost 9 months pregnant. I want to be safe.
Love the final pics of your cups! They is it all!
This was a great tutorial for this newbie wanting to do tumblers was worrying about using expoy 😊😊😊😊
So glad it helped :)

Beautiful work
Awesome video! Are you planning on doing a video using vinyl and vinyl with glitter with GF?
Yes! I have one in the making 🥰

Wow these are beautiful
Thank you 😊
So pretty!!! Do you still sand down the rim to expose the edge like you do with epoxy before putting the final coats on?
I was wondering what GF was. Love that the wait time is shorter than BT.Thank you so much for sharing!
You’re very welcome 🥰
For the next video can you do the double wall tumbler beer can, snow globe please
Can you use acrylic paint as a base coat if you don’t the crystalac paint?
Can you use this on plastic cups like snowglobe tumblers to seal the vinyl?
These look awesome
Thank you 🥰
i absolutely love your videos because i use Crystalac
When the cups sweat, does this affect the adherence? These are so vibrant.
Beautiful!! 😍
Thank you 🥰🥰
Thanks for the video ! 💜 am I able to use grand finale on the bamboo lids to seal glitter ?

@@MelissaCrafter perfect! Thank you!!

Great job on this tutorial! 👏👏 Really liked how you compared GF and BT.
Thank you 🥰 I really wanted to add that in there ❤️
Can you place vinyl designs on top of the grand finale??
Hi Melissa! I was wondering how clear it appears when dry? Can I use this to seal clear libbey cup vinyl designs?
It will dry clear. I have sealed Libbey glass. I made a tutorial on the teckwrap UA-cam channel sealing a Libbey with grand finale.
Thanks for the tutorial. You used glitter glue to apply the glitter, can I use grand finale to apply the glitter as well?
You definitely can!
@@MelissaCrafter thank you.
If we add a decal what layer would you add it on.
After the 4th or 5th coat 😊

Love love love your video 💗 But do we really need to wait the 30 days cure that’s to long 😩

@@MelissaCrafter ok thank you 😊
Is the Grand Finale dishwasher safe?
hello I'm new here just wondering if you can use any kind of vinyl with this product thank you
How do you clean your brush?

How long do you sand the glass? Also, do the primers streak against the glass?
I do a scuff sand. Making sure the whole cup is sanded. The paint primers won't streak if you use a good brush and do a few coats.
I have so much BT to use up, can we use both products on a cup?
Yes definitely. You would just need to allow the proper dry time for each. If using grand finale: wait 2 hours after each coat. If using brite tone: wait 4 hours after each coat. You can interchange between the two. I also have so much BT. so I'm using both until I run out of BT.
How long is your total process tile from start to finish? (In hours)
Gorg! 😊❤
Thank you 🥰
Can you use GF on acyrlics?
I like crystalac but it’s more work
yes its more work than epoxy but worth it in my opinion. Too many risks with epoxy.
Can you add glow in the dark micas to the paints?
Wondering myself
Can I do this with any kind of glass jar?
Yes as long as you prep it well 😊
Have u done the drip effects on these glass cups
I haven’t . But the process would be the same. I have a drip tutorial on a stainless steel mug that you could follow .
I used a whole bottle for 8 35 oz still have more coats to go 🤦🏾♀️
😍 How long does this take to cure?
5-30 days depending on the number of coats 😊
how fast can I ship tumblers with the product?
5-7 days 😊
@@MelissaCrafter thanks love

Hi. No it can’t be used for molds unfortunately. It’s a product that builds up a gloss with thin coats.
Okay so what would you say Brite tone can be used for molds or maybe something else besides epoxy. I would love to make them but epoxy free.
