I like how you had to climb up the rocks to set up the cam, climb back down, so we can see your family climb back up. a lot of work people take for granted to record.

Shane is a little rockstar! Gorgeous view, but living in CA and hearing 1500' is the highest elevation? That, we have to laugh at. But the trail - no laughing matter. Shane still wins though.

What a cool hike. As we linger deeper into quarantine I definitely feeling the call of nature. Especially that feeling of "Whats around the bend in the trail" and that feeling/reward when you reach the top of a vista and are treated to an amazing view :) Til those days return we will keep watching your videos to get a virtual feel of that. Much love as always Randy :)

Incredible views! Well done, Shane! I was the only boy with three big sisters too. My sisters you to play a lot of pranks on me. When I was in the fourth grade, they woke me up and told me that I had missed the school bus. I jumped up, took a one-minute shower, got dressed and ran down the stairs. However, my parents were downstairs watching TV. They asked me, "What are you doing?" Almost in tears, I told them that I had missed the bus. They looked at me and told me to "go and get your sisters." It turns out that it was about 10 PM. I went back upstairs and my sisters were almost rolling on the floor laughing.

I've been in Jersey all my life, but have never hiked that. I really should someday. I have driven The Old Mine Road, end to end though. I visited Buttermilk Falls one time, in the middle of the winter. I had my niece with me, who was maybe 11 at the time. She took the "path" to the top, and I was terrified as I tried to follow her. I can't remember if I actually went all the way up or not. Anyway, thanks for this. I enjoyed coming along with you.

Ya know, we didn't see any waterfalls on this hike. That's not to say they weren't there either. If you want some good falls in the area (other than Bushkill), look up Raymondskill, Dingmans and Buttermilk. All are close and can be easily seen in a day.

Climbing one of the highest mountains there, I like the sound of that. Sure was a rocky trail up and I really enjoyed this as we were supposed to be in the Scottish highlands this weekend, with me attempting my 4th climb of Ben Nevis, the UK's highest mountain, just over 4 miles up and the same back (just feels longer on the way back.) I had to lol when your son said "I think think we should keep going" and you were straight back with "I think we should keep resting"....LOL! Great views from the summit and sounds like a great call on the blue dot trail on the way down. Now that's a great way to easy those aching bones after a tough climb on a hot day. Hit the nail on the head with your final tip of the day, arrive early, I love an early start too. Take care all, great watch, cheers Alan

Wow, now that trail has a lot of rock! The trails which don't give you a break are indeed tough. These rock scrambles are fun though, and I find they make you pace yourself more, and I like that. You don't feel like you are always pushing to get there faster like you do other times. Great view from the top!

Hello Mark H. The highest point in NJ is actually a mountain peak within High Point State Park (1803 ft); I believe that Mt Tammany is the highest point in the Delaware Water Gap NRA, as stated by Pastor Randy. In any event it's a beautiful area with plenty to see & do on both sides of the river. Old Mine Rd on the Jersey side is a worthy drive as is Rt 209 on the Pennsy side. You won't regret a visit!
