Hey. Great to meet you at NAMM. Thank you for checking out my Marriott show.I have been watching and digging your channel even before you started playing your Knaggs guitar guitar.
Appreciate you and soon-to-be-knighted Jonny Lee! NAMM continues to evolve and should. In my day...when dinosaurs roamed the earth...NAMM put vendors with retailers. Today, NAMM goes all-in...and should...for exposure through content creators. Best take-aways here: 1) happy seeing you and Jonny, 2) thrilled seeing our Jedi Master of the Helix Scott Url, and 3) super sad for the confirmation that Yamaha continues to limit launches from the genius team of Line 6. Thanks again for your take on NAMM 2025. P.S. The Vernon Reid cameo...Priceless! Put VR on your bucketlist of "must-see live" masters of the instrument. P.P.S. Love you Jonny!
I just saw you on a Andertons video at the Valeton booth. They were in the middle of a demo shoot about the new Valeton mini pedal. 😂 Hilarious! Nice “video-bomb”
NAMM is back when the major guitar makers (Fender, Gibson, PRS, ESP, and more) do not hide behind "appointment only" doors. We're not there yet. Apparently the inroads that boutique guitar makers have made into the market in recent years is not scaring them enough yet. Marshall certainly got the message, and came back in a BIG way. Good for them!
Really, Steve, the legend that is Vernon Reid comes and appears on your podcast, and no one can give up a seat for him? Looking to get hold of a Peavey VTM pedal. Had the amp years ago, but you know, it's like 65lbs. just for the head. Also, I looked it up and the Helix came out in June of 2015, so maybe they're doing something big then for a new unit?
He came in after we started. I was thinking it was gonna be a quick guest appearance for a minute and he wound up staying the whole time 😅 he us such an awesome guy
The lack of big ones at show doesn’t bother me at all. Major makers don’t need NAMM, they made this investment for decades already but still relevant for smaller builders. I prefer to see new companies growing up and bringing good products.
