Pretty cool that even Mick himself paid a visit there, but holy shit once you mentioned his new signature he never stopped talking about it 😅 Gotta love his enthusiasm.
He seems genuinely excited about it, I honestly don’t remember him like this with his past sig guitars, maybe I’m wrong. But i haven’t seen him so happy about one of his guitars.
@@fatsuperflyyou’re 100% right. I think he’s coming across as more enthusiastic and happy overall. I don’t know him but he seems to be in a good place.
There are like 20 Mick Thompson impersonators that perform with voice modulation in the masks. This is only one of them. The scripting is excellent, though. ;-)
We got specially imported Nicaraguan cheddar bread, on this here 3/4 toasted loaf, with a nice hint of Brie straight from the mountains of Albania, with 25 years aged majestic Tibetan salt for a taste that lingers well after each bite 😂
ESP booth was awesome just like always. Mick was so nice and talked about his strings setup with me, my daughter and a friend for about 5 minutes. So awesome. Great video!!!
There not underrated....if You Have a signature model from every brand of FMIC Your not underrated, lol I would dare say Overrated....same with Mick, companies always want to give Him guitars. Everyone knows they're good guitar players, this underrated thing is being incorrectly used these days.
Mick is on character even at NAMM😂 Among all the NAMM guitars I've seen ESP Japan Custom shop has some of the coolest and most insanely beautiful designs. If I have $20,000 I will definitely buy any of those Exhibition series.🤘 Trumps any Custom shops.🔥
The ESP Custom Shop wall was always a highlight of Winter NAMM for me. It's amazing seeing art like that up close. Especially since I'd never be able to afford instruments that expensive
I was hoping to see a chrome XJ like the one Joe Duplantier played at the olympics in this video. But I forgot halfway as all of the guitars shown are absolutely stunning.
ESP has done it again with the 2025 LTDs. Cool, tastefully designed finishes (almost all of them:)), steel frets, quality components, a reliable brand.👍
as a Gen-X metal 🤘🏼 player i never thought i’d see the day when a import guitar 🎸 would be $1400-$2100! back in my day $1800 was a USA custom shop by any company, even Kiesel have raised prices by $100-$150
@@DiverDigital i agree the hardware and pickups are better on budget guitars 🎸 than 15-20 years ago but $1800 for a single humbucker LTD is nuts i paid $1029 for my Schecter NJ HSS and it’s a import great guitar and beats any Fender i’ve ever owned but i remember back in the 80’s anything over $1000 was a USA made guitar
I need to try an ESP. I’m a huge Ibanez fan I love their stuff. Great value thin necks the Wizard II on the 7 string RG. They keep everyone from Steve available to Korn and Meshuggah happy. But a lot of people big up ESP I’ll check them out.
With LTD's costing as much as E-II now i can see them phasing them out and keeping ESP Japan exclusive for custom shop..... if they release a E-II line be prepared to pay ££££
Yes, they are flooding the world with LTDs and rising the prices. I got a LTD deluxe Horizon for 1.200€ 10 years ago and it was the upper end for LTDs. Now you can pay 2000 or more for them. I mean they are great or even outstanding guitars -I love mine- but if you want a Japan- or even USA-built guitar, you now have to spend over 3000€, or realistically 4000€ and over 5000€ for the USA built. Why is that? Why is the apprentice shop more expensive than the master shop with it’s luthiers with decades of experience? I doubt that wages are that lower in Japan. But on the Japanese website I would have paid „only“ little over 2000€ for my Japanese Horizon E2 for which I paid 3100€ in Europe. It reads E-II on the headstock and ESP on the 12th fret. For those of you, who buy for ego, you have to add 1 or 2k€ for an ESP on the headstock… There is a proxy service for buying and sending things in Japan and they don’t charge much for a guitar. Around 150€ for service and shipping, but you have to handle tax and toll by yourself….
Agree with what Mick said. I had that Hipshot bridge on a Schecter KM-7 and it was incredibly comfortable. That guitar sounded way too bright for me though. I think Mick is right about that extra brass doing that. The KM-7 also had a brass string-thru block, all that together made it way too metallic & bright for my preference so traded it for something else. But everyone has different preferences and clearly Mick likes that. Also agree with what he said about set necks, my favourite sounding guitar acoustically has that construction. I'm liking the silver burst finish over the sandblasted ash. Looks classy, would love the TE model they have with that finish. And the Caleb Shomo sig Phoenix looks fantastic. Seen some comments saying they are disappointed with LTD's line up this year but they seem to have a lot more variation than what other makers have put out. Just a shame seeing single pickup LTDs at ever higher prices. And why put on a 3 voice Fishman pickup with only a single push/pull. Also....I've seen hardly any reviews or demos of their 2024 line up yet. Don't know if that's because they are taking a long time to get them out, or whether less people are willing to pay these prices and are looking at cheaper options instead.
@@peace7482 i don’t build my own guitars for the same reason I don’t use a soda stream. Saving a few pennies isnt worth it when I’m nowhere near equiped to make something at the same quality as a factory. I hate DIY projects, ive got money, id rather trade that for someone elses skills
Could’ve called that on his signature model super strat, active pick ups, reverse head stock nothing overwhelmingly special that’s different from anything. He’s put out in the last 20 years.
Most of the NAMM members are pissed that they weren’t able to go in the top floor exhibits!!! What was up with appointment only!! We payed a membership and for badges to see these exhibits! Either open for the members! Or NAMM can suck it
6:53 did you say medium jumbo frets ??? F*** Me I’ve been waiting forever for an esp/ltd that doesn’t have XJ frets, hallelujah!!! I’ve never kept an ESP nor LTD due to the XJ frets. Going to get myself this one to try out
I have tons of guitars but something about ash bodied guitars that gives you that unbelievable sounding tone. I really dont know why hard rock guitarists tend to favor alder bodied guitars?

Some of those exhibition rods are...just friggin perfection. Esp and esp ltd are the best quality guitars from the cheapest to the most expensive. I have 600 dollar h200 that plays better with no mods than SEVERAL 2000+ dollar guitar i currently or have previously owned. Just best quality guitars tou can get.

I love Mick’s happy vibe wile talking about his guitar with the angry face on lol. You know he’s smiling underneath.
Nice to see Mick rocking up , still can't get over how slim he is now .
Yeah, it's a bit of a "shock" to me because I know he's lost a lot of weight but he seems even thinner now than he was last year.
Honestly!! Almost friend didn’t even look like him.
