Skunk works or not Lockheed lacks sufficient experience in fighters. The only exception being whats left if general dynamics. Id like to see more out if Grumman Northrup

Plus… loyal wingmen, hypersonic missles, super stealth, in rcs, visual, ir, and eventually sonic. It’s getting harder to detect your enemies and you won’t know what hit you. We’re going down the same line as the F-22.. doesn’t make sense to do that.. eight or more weapons in Internal should be the standard
AND room for Gear and Fuel? A second seat maybe, to give drones orders, or confirm their results? When you travel at mach 2.5, and the drones barely manage supercruise, a Pilot would only see them as a dot in his rear-facing camera. Fuel, for example is critical. If it can't do Intercontinental flights 2-ways, Aerial refueling will be relevant. And without rudders, it will never be stable at low speeds. Which Tankers fly. It's so unpractical, such a one-trick pony, not even Tom Cruise would fly it.

How will aerial refueling work, without a dedicated rudder for low-speed maneuvers? It's not like Tankers fly at Mach 2 you know? I am more into physics than looks. And That design is not fit for battle. What's the landing speed gonna be? Carrying capacity? Turn, or roll rate? At what price? Which two "big enough" airfields would China or Russia have to aim at? The "game" has evolved indeed. Instead of flying there, to hit a "shed of tactical relevance", you send a missile. Some people don't want physics to get in the way of Financing. But gosh, can the americans for ONCE not oversell something? If you need a superfast "Lead plane", Why do the loyal wingmen barely scratch Mach speeds? Get your plan/strategy together, before you fantasize about something, you'll realistically achieve in 25-30 years. (F-35, case in point, WITHOUT such lofty goals).
