    I swear to god this has to get higher when people search for "how to mix hardstyle" instead of like 20 DJ tutorials before this.

    Hey, just as feedback I recommend that you process the stereo width of your lead sounds individually for a fuller sound (you still need some of that signal in mono - common mistake) and play with reverb automation coz I'm hearing a full wall of reverb which sounds a bit muddy (ofc lots of reverb is better than no reverb but you are a bit too keen on that reverb haha). Nevertheless, pretty good tutorial in terms of equalisation use and saturation - I'm definitely switching to multiband saturation on my leads now. Keep it up!

    • @Xense
      @Xense  7 років тому +1

      Sebbu Kabir Hi ! Thanks for your feedback ! Well the stereotools and S1 are pretty useless in the mixer because there is bx digital V2 in the master who take care of the stereo. But I also advice to have one mono lead and build your synth around it, it sounds better in my opinion. For the reeverb, it's just a thing to play with the compressor as I showed, I love to have a lot of reeverb, but thanks man :)

    a Tutorial about mixing kick and lead could be usefull :-) great work !

    • @Xense
      @Xense  7 років тому +1

      Well, it's just a balance in volume imo, if your kick is really good, and your leads are fat and well mixed, you just have to find the right volumes. Most of the time, the kick is +2dB louder than the leads (Bas from Noisecontrollers said that aswell)

    Sorry but this sounds like you're just getting started making music. The lead is crunchy and low end power is absent. It is also wrong to believe that Hardstyle needs a lot of reverb. Reverb should be controlled and kept to a minimal. The lead should always overpower any reverb or delay effects. Otherwise it will sound very bad. Just advice.

      its all the same bro just EQ just remember cut low end always and bring highs yp to what sounds good to you theres not way of teaching but don't bring the highs way up lol. just listen to your mix down to and always send to a bus aka track routing!!!

  • @Djsalvation

    why the lowcut on the group while there where no low frequencies anymore anyway?

    • @epsylonmedia

      It's hardstyle. It needs to have a lot of reverb...

    • @Xense
      @Xense  7 років тому +4

      Reverb is also really important to get your leads powerful too. Maybe you don't hear it, but the leads itself are powerful because of the saturation. And yes reverb is a part of the processing
